Pinkie Pie's POV
A Library Treasure: 1
I had just been at Twilights library, when I came across a book I soon was to find very exciting. Not sure if she realised, just what a book it is she had given me, even if I will return it, once I have read it. At first it may look rather bland, but never judge a book by its covers, just as Zecora taught us only too thoroughly, the first time around.
First things first, a huge caldron. Then I slipped several herbs into it, before I pour the first bucket of rubber over them. From her on, I can start to heat up the thick goo. Looking as the rubber bubbles and absorb the selected herbs I had placed in my caldron.
A faint scent is rising from the contents, slowly climbing to the sky as the temperature slowly approaches optimum. The thick goo is growing clearer as the temperature is rising and thus making the contents more viscous.
Maybe there should be a stern warning on the label on the plant Zecora called Heart’s Desire, but used in a proper way and with the appropriate care, it could be used in a number of ways with a reliable and positive result. Here is one of them, if I can but get this just right.
Aside from the thick rubber harvested from the nearby trees, I have included several ingredients from the forest and herbs named and described in the book Twilight Sparkle had scorned and scoffed at, at the incident of the Poisonous Joke Zecora soon after saved us about, despite out horrendous mistake of misjudging her and all her trashed possessions.
This isn’t the Mirror Pool I had been at, or an illusion of any kind, it is a real deal. They are not running off on any fool’s errand, but will do as I please, it is what the Heart’s Desire is for. It may sound like a great promise, but so is friendship and love, yet we trust them at every turn. I know, I live on both the friendship and the love. I never need the love potion, or love poison. Why would I? What I give my friends and fellow citizens of Ponyville is for real and I enjoy doing it. All I ask, is that you are smiling back at me, happily.
I know I may act randomly, but I have a plan behind what I do. I throw parties left and right for the slightest suggestion, with no hope of ever get any economical gains from it. Just to make a friend and see a smile. I am hyper and can consume insane amounts of sweet and fatty treats, hands down, just like that. At least I have some fun, doing it.
There is the one last and final ingredient in what I had in mind. With that, I place my right hand on the top of the contents of the caldron, stroking the thick rubbery mass, feeling it under the palm of my hand. Apparently it isn’t anywhere near as hot as I had expected, just as it isn’t really sticky at all, but feels warm and smooth.
I lift my hand and withdraw several steps, considering the experience of the act, before I pick up a few more slabs of wood, throwing them in into the fire under the caldron, looking as the heat rises further. Standing in silence, listening to the roar of the fire before me.
After a while, I hear something calling out to me, a noise, not quite yet a voice. I grab a handful of grains from a side pouch, tossing it into the fire, seeing the sparkles dance joyfully in the increasing heat. Not yet knowing the exact reactions of my latest actions.
Something is abrew, there is a life growing within the depths of the caldron. What I had set up is about to come into bloom, requiring but a few more sparks of life and likeness to creep out of the contents of what I had offered.
The heat is still rising, yet a large swat in the middle is calming, as if consciously choosing to. I spread a new fistful of powder over the calm, as a gesture of welcoming, adding a new spark to the process, knowing this is about to go. The final acts, deciding if it is going well or ill.
Having read the book, very well acquainted with what is about to come to pass, no chance of forgiveness or redemption, once this is concluded, someone will be there. I can never undo what will happen in the next few minutes.
Out of a side pocket, I pull a few golden looks, letting them slip into the calm of the brew. Now I start petting the calm, helping it along the way.
I pull my hand up, out of the brew as I started to feel it slowly solidify and seeing what could be taken for a membrane, a skin, as if some Pony was forming. I did not scream, it is what I had been told by the book would happen. Screaming would only upset the process anyway, I did not want that to happen, not now, not here, not anywhere or any time.
A moment later, I could see a hand rising from the calm, a pink, rubbery hand. I couldn’t help myself as a giggle escaped me. This only resulted in one thing, the hand was determined to come up as the rest of the body formed.
Some Pony, or something was coming up, out of the calm in the brew I was still cooking. I take a step back, slowly, calmly observing the changes and development, this is a phase of quiet and contemplation. I need to be collected, pushing the events slowly towards where I wanted to go, or if could swallow me whole or even drag me down into the brew.
It may look like at the event at the Mirror Pool, but no chanting or Mirror Pool, it is a very different occurrence.
A thought suddenly struck me out of the blue, just how similar it is to perform ritual magic, compared with my traditional baking. Maybe being a Party Pony, and a Baker wasn’t such a mundane task as some may make it out to be, after all. At least, I had enjoyed it this far. As if I would stop enjoying it, ever?
As I stand back, pondering, I see the form coming up, out of the brew, slowly floating up to the surface and then finally hopping out and set hoof onto the moss on the side of the caldron, before taking a step towards me, stopping carefully.
I look at her pink rubbery body, observing the gooy characteristics, the long flowing golden main and tail, her blue eyes smiling back at me, the calm posture and demeanors, a smile spreading out over her face as she looks back at me. clearly my element shining through, spreading the joy I was meant to lend to every Pony around me.
She stands calmly in silence, apparently observing me in kind.
“Take my hand, we have a home to go to!” I pronounced and she graciously took the hand I had offered and followed me.

Bed-Toy's POV
Out of the Caldron: 2
Slowly I had become aware of myself, the heat and the thick viscous substance within I am floating. Slowly floating up towards the surface, driven and drawn by the one thing I could feel, the love and joy emanating from the Pony, stacking firewood under the caldron in which I currently resided.
After a while, my hand crossed the boundary and slipped out into the air. Later I managed to hop down onto the ground beside the caldron from which I had so recently sprung. Facing the Pony creating me, a Mother of sorts since he is a mare.
I take her outstretched hand, feeling the soft, firm flesh as she accepted me in her grasp, before leading me out of the forest and into the town known as Ponyville. I follow her to the door, she slipped in and take me with her to her small room, affording side-way glances towards images, framed photos of her past, all along the way up the flight of stairs to her small room.
Once in her room, the first key to who the Pony in the pictures was can be seen, scattered balloons clinging to the ceiling, matching the once on her flank.
The second key I hear in her voice, the hyper and energetic enthusiasm behind the giggling and laughing outpour of humour spreading her like vapours from the boiling pot from which I so recently came.
There is the smile, spreading out over her face, covering the ponies closest by, as if it had been the mists covering them, while they keep laughing at what jokes she spread as antics hopping left and right, including the legendary party Canon she wields at her slightest whim.
What I see is what seems a perpetual smile, as if she is amused by anything she sees before her. Her place is to laugh at any and everything. Or is it just me? To see a Pony step out of the depths of what she had tossed into the caldron, it is not what you are to take lightly.
Looking around, there is a bed, made neatly. She is an organised Pony, by the looks of it. Then I notice a few balloons scattered out on the floor, some cowering under the bed, while the majority is soaring just under the ceiling of her room, covering most of it.
How could something as heavy as a Canon be in her room, as if it had been light enough to be moved around in a room on the second floor?
“If you don’t mind, I think I need to lie down and rest for a moment!” I enquire.
“Okeley dokeley!” she responds, pointing towards her bed.
“Thanks, it is just so much to take in, it makes me dizzy!” I pointed out as explanation.
“I am Pinkie Pie. I need you to be just as happy as the next Pony, you know!” she responded as if it had been the most natural thing.
“Is this why you are smiling all the time?” I enquired.
“Guess you could put it like that, too. It always brings a smile to my face, seeing Ponies happy, knowing they are my friends!” she explained.
“Can’t have too many friends, right?” I continued.
“I can’t see it. The more, the merrier. I live by it. Just as I live to make them all smile. Now you are one of them, a Pony I need to keep happy. I need to see you smile!” she pointed out.
“For now, I just need to rest. I need to catch my breath and sort all the new impressions!” I put forth.
“Guess I can be overwhelming on occasion, just as I need to be more considerate from time to time!” she pondered on a more solemn tone.
“Overwhelming, I guess that is the understatement of all times, where I lie, right now. Just a moment of quiet rest in the dark, and none by my side, even if it is the middle of the day?” I put forth.
“Oki dokie lokie!” she merely responded, walking out the door.
As the door quietly slammed shut, the light went up in smoke. For a moment, I could but blink. What was it with this one Pony, she is a ceaseless pool of wonders.
Then it hit me, I closed my eyes, there is no light and thus nothing to see. I closed my mouth, slowly breathing quietly through my nostrils, in and out, in and out. With that I went out, just like the light as she closed the door behind herself.
Slowly things started to come together, peace by pease. The fact that I had no name didn’t really bother me, although I would need one rather soon. To merely be a Bed-toy wouldn’t work for all that long, even for me.
The only next of kin, or family is Pinkie Pie. How the relation is to make sense I had left hanging in the air, partly due to her randomness. I had to save my strength for later. Maybe it would come to me some time soon. I had no idea, but that is of no consequence to me, maybe it never would.
From what I had gathered, I am a fully grown Adults by all accounts, short of name and mark, that is. I had neither name, nor mark at this point. I could live without the mark for a while longer, but I had started to itch for a name of my own. I am an individual separate from the mother who gave life to me. To claim she gave birth to me was stretching the logic beyond breaking point, at least to me.
Something within me soon recognised my Mare side, I have all the physical attributes and drives of one, thus I am one, right.
Just like her, I live to please. Her mainly. My dries tell me what I need to do, there is nothing confusing about it on this point.
I am an individual separate from her and every other Pony. I have drives and needs, requirements of my own. I am alive, sentient, and adult, with all the rights of one. I just need to claim them, make it official.
I open my eyes, once more, looking at the room with fresh eyes. I had been out for an untold period of time. How long wouldn’t matter.
