Octavia while walking down the sidewalk of Manehattan lost in her thoughts until she hits into another pony that was walking around the corner. "Sorry about that ma,am here let me help you" a brown stallion said picking up some of her groceries. "Here let me help you" the brown stallion said putting her hoof it. "Thank you" Octavia said as she was helped to her hooves. "Wait a sec are you Octavia?" The brown stallion said. "Well just I am" Octavia said smiling a little. "I thought so I'm Hot Joe I have heard a lot about you Ms.Harmonica" Hot Joe said putting his hoof out. "Just Octavia and where have you heard about me?" Octavia asked shaking his hoof. "From Vinyl my dear lets walk and talk" Hot Joe said as he started to walk off, Octavia walking close behind. "I have been looking for a bass player and Vinyl said you know how to play one" Hot Joe said. "Well that's true I mostly play the cello but I do play the bass time and time again" Octavia said. "Well that's good let me hear how you play and then I'll decide if your up for the Job or not" Hot Joe said. "Just let me drop off my stuff" Octavia said. After Octavia dropped her stuff off her and Hot Joe went to his studio. "Alright let me hear you play a jazzy kind of tone" Hot Joe said. "Jazzy?" Octavia asked gulped. Yes Jazzy Hot Joe answered. "I have tired to play jazz before and succeeded lets try this thing" Octavia thought to herself. -One Jazzy tone later!- "Nice very nice" Hot Joe said clapping his hooves. Octavia smiled put her bass down and sat at the table with Hot Joe. "Alright now you will be performing with a group they call themselves "The Feathers" the are a new kinda of band they only performed once because there Sax player and Old bass player got in to a fight about something so I have been looking for a another bass player and I found you so what do you say?" Hot Joe said. "Well how will I be payed?" Octavia asked worried that she may of asked to soon. "Well you get payed after every performance and the amount is 200 bits every for performance" Hot Joe said. "To splat between the ponies in the band/group right?" Octavia asked. "No 200 per band/group member" Hot Joe said. Octavia smiled and said I'll do it. "Great! Sign here,here,here and here" Hot Joe said using his's magic to put hold up the clipboard. Octavia signs all the spots. "Good see you tomorrow for the first practice" Hot Joe said. "Alright" Octavia said. Octavia packed her bass and put on her back and was about to leave before Hot Joe stopped her. "You almost forgot this" Hot Joe said putting his hoof out which had a little big of bits in it. "That's not mine" Octavia said. "Oh yes it is on my clients get one after they sign to steel the deal" Hot Joe said giving the bag to her. "Well thank you I'll see you tomorrow" Octavia said running out of the studio. "Bye be here at 9:30 AM" Hot Joe said as she left out the building. "Alright I will Bye" Octavia said as the doors closed behind her. "YES I GOT A BASS PLAYER! Oh my I must go tell the band we are back in business" Hot Joe said. -Later on back with Octavia- -Knock knock- "Vinyl dear are you there?" Octavia asked as she knocked on the door. No one answered her call. -click- "Vinyl must be out tonight" Octavia thought as she opened the front door. "Hmm? Whats this?" Octavia asked herself as she got a note off of the door to there room. -Note- "Hey Octy sorry I'm not there had a gig to do tonight." NIGHT! -Note Ending- "Oh Vinyl" Octavia said as she put the note down and got ready for tomorrow. Octavia stayed up most of the night writing stuff down and getting ready only to fall a sleep when she was at the desk.

Octavia sat up in the bed and looked around wondering how she got in to the bed. "Vinyl?" Octavia asked looking besides here no one was there. "This isn't like Vinyl to be out of bed this earlier" Octavia thought to herself. Octavia start worrying and wondering if she even came home last night. Octavia went to the kitchen and was in shock to find Vinyl making her breakfast. "Morning Tavia making your favorite eggs,biscuits and a daisy salad" Vinyl said putting everything she just named on to the table. "Wow thanks Vinyl" Octavia said smiling as she sat down. "And your the only pony who I will ever cook for" Vinyl said as she nuzzled Octavia. Octavia blushes and nuzzled back. "You need a big breakfast anyway for your first practice today" Vinyl said. Octavia stopped nuzzling Vinyl and her jaw dropped as she looked at the clock. "I have to go Vinyl before I'm late!" Octavia said running into Vinyl and Her's room grabbing her bass and despairing out the door. "No kiss?" Vinyl asked as Octavia passed her on the way out the door. "Fine just a quick kiss" Octavia said as she stopped and kissed Vinyl on the lips for a few seconds before she broke the kiss and ran off. "Bye Vinyl I'll be back later" Octavia said as she ran straight for the studio. "Bye" Vinyl said. "Man she is a good kisser when she gets home she's mine!" Vinyl thought to herself as she closed the door. -Few minutes later- Octavia burst into the studio doors then she ran straight to the room she was in yesterday. "Sorry if I'm late" Octavia said as she came in the room. "Your not late its only 9:25 your kinda early anyway the others are waiting in the practice room" Hot Joe said leading her out the room. "The room were about to go to is the room you come in every morning alright"? Hot Joe said. "Yes Sir" Octavia said. "Its just Hot Joe" Hot Joe teased as he opened the door that had the number on it "#350". Hot Joe and Octavia walk in to the room and Joe closed the door behind them. "Hey team here is your new bass player" Hot Joe said moving out of Octavia's way so she could see. A white stallion walked to Octavia and was about to say something before Hot Joe cut him. "This Flex the Saxophone player of the group" Hot Joe said. (White mane,Deep red eyes,White fur and he is a Unicorn who always where's his black fedora) Hot Joe walked over to the other three that were all sitting down near them. "This is Magma the drum player" Hot Joe said (Yellow mane,Green fur, Green eyes and he is a Earth pony) "This is Griff the electric bass player" Hot Joe said. (White and black striped hair, white fur, black eyes and he's a Griffon) "And last but not least This is Octavia Story the piano player" Hot Joe said. (Black mane,Yellow fur,Blue eyes, she's a mare and is a Pegasus) Octavia blinked when she heard the last name. "Octavia Story?" Octavia asked confused. "Yes and Everyone this is Octavia your new classical bass player" Hot Joe said. "Have fun I'll be back later to check on all of you" Hot Joe said as he left out the room without another word leaving both of the Octavia's confused. "So anyhow I'm Flex, boss tired to explain but I think he is way to happy" Flex said putting his hoof out. "Octavia" Octavia said shaking his hoof. "So your our new bass player not what I expected but I would love to hear you play that me help you with that" Griff said grabbing Octavia's bass off her back. -cough cough- Octavia Story walked over to Octavia and said. "So our names are the same that like out of this world pretty random but its going to get confusing so you can just call me Mage everyone else does". "Alright" Octavia said. "Hey get over here we need to do some practicing like now people Magma said hitting his drumsticks together. Octavia got a weird feeling in her stomach that made her feel funny not knowing what it was she just that it happen. Alright everyone lets do a piece everyone might know Mage said. Alright! The others shouted as they started to play the song.

"Thanks" Vinyl said as she got off of the Platform. Vinyl walked over to the bar counter and sit down. "Give me your best drink you got" Vinyl said as she put bits on the counter. "I wonder if Octy found a place to perform at yet its been months and hasn't been ask to perform at one place since we moved to Manehattan" Vinyl thought to herself. "Here Vinyl keep your bits this one is on the house"The bar owner said. "If you say so thanks Vinyl said getting up and walking to a nearby table. Vinyl could't help to over heard a conviction by a nearby table. "Hot Joe if you don't find a bass player soon we will never be able to perform again you know that we can't perform without one!" A white stallion said "Now clam down I'm still looking you should know that by now" a brown stallion said "Well look harder or you be losing another performer!" The white stallion said as he and some of his friends left the table and left out the bar. "-sigh- this isn't good" The brown stallion said. "Hey I couldn't help to overhear that your looking for a bass player correct?" Vinyl asked. "Yes that's true you wouldn't know any would you Ms.DJ?" The brown stallion said. "I do her name is Octavia she is looking for a job also and my name is Vinyl Scratch but you can call me Vinyl" Vinyl said putting her hoof out. "Well then maybe we can have a talk with a drink and my name is Hot Joe" Hot Joe said sharking Vinyl's hoof. "Let me buy you a drink and then we can talk" Hot Joe said. Vinyl and Hot Joe talk although the night until they had to part ways.
