Yeah, I could live without him." Mom shook her head. "Don't worry you'll make new friends. You're not the only one who's upset about moving. Your father is upset about moving as well. He has to leave his job, that he loved." "Maybe I don't want to make new friends." I said, stubbornly. "Raquel Samantha Dash! I've told a million times! You'll love Montville! Our new house even has a pool!" She usually only calls us by our real names when she's angry or annoyed. She does the same thing with Scootaloo: Stephanie Carol Dash. "It's cool I guess. And could you please call me Rainbow. I like it a little better." I said, a little happier. "Why? You don't like Raquel?" my mom asked, smiling. "I don't know." I said. She shook her head at me, smiling. "We're gonna bring Tank when we move, right?" "Oh course. He's part of the family. And that's the last box. Okay. Your gonna ride in the truck with Dad, and Scoots is gonna come with me." she said, smiling. "Hey. And don't worry. You'll be fine." she said quietly. She kissed my forehead, and went into the car with Scootaloo. I got into the truck with dad. "Ready Dad?" I asked him. He didn't answer me. "Dad? Hello?" No answer again. "Dad!" "SHUT UP AND DONT SPEAK!" he sreamed at me, as he slapped me hard across the face. Really hard. "What was that for?!" I asked, rubbing my cheek. "I SAID DONT SPEAK!" he screamed, as he slapped me across the other cheek. "What the fuck?!" I thought to myself. I had to hold back tears. My cheeks hurt so bad. For the two hour drive, I listened to music on my iPhone 5c. It was a light blue iPhone, with a black case. And on the case was a white cloud, with a red, yellow, and blue lightning bolt coming out of it. When we got out of the van, I looked in the side mirror and saw that both of my cheeks were red. Why does he slap me? I ran upstairs into my new room. It was a white room, with a huge closet, giant window, and it was pretty big. It was a little bit bigger than my old room. I sat down, leaning against a wall by the door, put my knees up, finally cried, into my hands. I was glad to be away from dad. I heard a small, raspy voice. "Rainbow?" My heart froze. Scootaloo couldn't see me like this. I can't scare her. Scootaloo's POV When mom and I got out of the car, I saw Dash run up to her room. I was worried. She looked like she was gonna cry. I went up to her room and saw her sobbing into her hands. "Rainbow?" I called worriedly. She stopped crying and rubbed her eyes. She sniffled. "What's up Scootaloo?" she asked, as casually as possible. "What's wrong?" I asked her, sitting down beside her. "Nothing." she got up, and looked out of the window. "I know you're lying." I stated, seriously. "Dad slapped me twice. Nothing major." she said, as if nothing happened at all. "You crying is no big deal? You never cry! He hit you hard didn't he?" I said standing up, and walking towards her. She didn't answer me. "DIDNT HE?!" I shouted, crying. "Scoots. He did. Relax. He was probably just angry about moving." "Why does Daddy hit you?" I asked, crying. "I'm not sure." "Did you tell mom?" "No." "Well tell her." "No! Dad will beat me more okay. Please don't say anything." she begged me. "Okay. But only of you promise to tell me when something is bothering you." I made her promise. "I promise." she said. "Good." I said, wiping away my tears. "I wanna see your room." she said to me, smiling. We walked into my lavender room. It had two closets, a window, and a lamp that the people who used to live there, left.

I called, my voice at bit shaky. Mom was getting ready to leave to go get breakfast. "Yes?" she asked. I saw her smile fade away. I bet she saw how nervous I was. I had angry butterflies in my stomach. "Your cheek is swelling a bit." She touched my right cheek, and I yelled in pain. She quickly took her hand away and apologized. "How hard did you hit your cheek on the truck door?" "Well that's the thing. I didn't exactly hit it on the door. It was Dad." "You ran into Dad?" "Not exactly. He slapped me." I said, nervously. "He slapped you?!" she asked, seriously. "Yeah. It's not a big deal." "Not a big deal? NOT A BIG DEAL?! THIS IS A VERY BIG DEAL!" she shouted. "Please don't tell." I begged her. "I have too." "No! Please! He'll beat me to death." "That's more the reason to report him." she picked up the phone and dialed 9-1-1. My knees went weak. I fell down to the ground and sobbed. I was gonna get it good. Hopefully I wasn't going to get any broken bones. Scootaloo knelt down by me. She hugged me tightly, as I sobbed into her shoulder. Scootaloo's POV I let Rainbow sob into my shoulder. I didn't care my shirt was getting wet. She finally told Mom and I was proud of her. "It'll be okay." I whispered into her ear. She sobbed louder. As Mom got off of the phone, the door opened and shut. Oh no. Dad. He wasn't at his new job. Oh crap! He just went grocery shopping. "What's going on here?" he asked, calmly. "Don't act like you don't know." Mom said back, angrily. "What did I do?" he asked, trying to act innocent. "What did you do? WHAT DID YOU DO?! LOOK AT YOUR DAUGHTER! THE SIDES OF HER FACE ARE FUCKING BLACK AND BLUE! DONT ACT LIKE YOU DONT KNOW!" she shouted at him. "It's not my fault she's an idiot!" he said to her loudly. "Scootaloo. Run. Run!" Rainbow shouted to me. I ran upstairs. Dad was coming towards us. Rainbow's POV Scootaloo went upstairs. I was still on the ground. Dad kicked me as hard as he could, and I held my stomach. He kept kicking me. He didn't care that Mom was home and she saw. She tried to stop him, but he punched her and knocked her out. I stood up. He punched me in the arm and my mouth. Thankfully I still had all of my teeth. I was in the worst pain of my life. Then he picked me up by my shirt and threw me on the ground. He kicked me several more times, mostly in the head. I bet he wanted me to die. Just then we heard sirens and our door opened. It was the cops. Thank God. They handcuffed Dad, and he was taken away. I was still on the ground. It hurt to move. He kicked me in the head, and I was seeing things in threes. I felt tired. "Rainbow!" I heard someone scream. She cried. "Don't cry Scoots. I'll be okay." I said. Some blood came out of my mouth. She called 9-1-1. Then everything went black, as I closed my eyes. Scootaloo's POV I called 9-1-1, and an ambulance arrived in 10 minutes. They took Mommy and Dash, and were put in the back of the truck. I explained to the paramedic what happened. I felt like this was my fault. I prayed to God that they would be okay.

They looked blurry and there voices were a bit muffled. Mom said something to Scootaloo, but I didn't hear it that well. I closed my eyes again. Scootaloo's POV "Make sure she doesn't fall asleep." Mom said to me before she left the room. "Ok." I saw Dash close her eyes so I shook her a little. "No Rainbow. Don't fall asleep." she groaned and she looked terrible. Her hair was a mess and she was so pale, that she looked like a vampire. Two minutes later she got up and ran to the bathroom. Rainbow's POV A couple minutes later I felt really nauseous. I rushed to the bathroom. I didn't even bother to close the door. I got down on my knees and gripped the toilet seat. I started gagging violently. Scootaloo came and saw me, then she ran to get Mom. Scootaloo's POV I saw Rainbow go into the bathroom and start gagging. I ran to get Mom. She was making some soup for Rainbow. "Mom! Mom! Rainbow needs help!" I guess she heard Dash gagging, because she looked upstairs and ran. She went into the bathroom and held back Dash's hair. Rainbow's POV Mom came into the bathroom and held back my hair. She held onto my shoulder. It wasn't long before any food I had yesterday came up violently. My throat hurt more from gagging. "Scootaloo. Go get me the phone." Mom shouted. Scootaloo ran downstairs. After I finished puking, I still felt terrible. I kept gagging, but nothing came out. I flushed the toilet, washed my hands, and brushed my teeth to get the taste out of my mouth. I hugged Mom tightly and cried into her shoulder. I was scared and angry and sick all at the same time. She rubbed my back. "Shh. It's okay. I'm here. Everything's okay." I sobbed loudly into her shoulder. Scootaloo's POV When I came back upstairs I saw Dash sobbing into Mom. I felt so bad. She didn't deserve this. She never did anything to anyone. I put the phone on the sink, and hugged her too. "Scootaloo. Take your sister into her room, while I call the doctor." I lead a weak Rainbow into her room. She stumbled once or twice walking, and she was still crying. I helped her sit down on her bed. I hugged her tightly. She hugged me back and cried into my shoulder. I stroked her hair. "Don't cry Rainbow. Everything will be alright." I said, not sure that what I said was true. "Dad and Soarin' are gone. You're safe. You're just not feeling well. That's all." she eventually calmed down and fell asleep in my shoulder. I gently put her head down and walked downstairs. "Dash fell asleep Mom." "Okay. In a little while we're gonna go to the doctors." "Okay." I went upstairs and sat down on the floor in her room. She started screaming and crying all of the sudden. I shook her and shouted her name. Rainbow's POV I fell asleep and had a terrible dream. I dreamt that Dad walked up to Scootaloo and I with a knife in his hand. We couldn't move. He left me alone, but he took Scootaloo's finger and cut it, knowing she could die. Her finger started gushing blood. We could now move, but she fainted and I caught her. She was very pale. She died right there in my arms. I started screaming and crying. I got woken up by someone shaking me. It was Scootaloo. "Rainbow!" I was crying again. I saw up and saw Scootaloo. She and Mom looked scared. I grabbed Scootaloo and hugged her tightly, still crying. She looked confused, but then hugged me back. "Honey. Are you alright?" "Yeah Mom. Bad dream." I was losing my voice. It was cracking more and it hurt to talk. I rubbed my throat. I sounded like robot sort of. "Get ready honey. Were gonna go to the doctors in a little while." I nodded my head. I put in some black sweatpants, and a dark blue sweater over a light blue t shirt. I was freezing cold. I still felt really crummy, and felt like throwing up, but I didn't. My head throbbed a bit and almost my entire ached, shook, and/or felt weak. I felt really tired. When we got into the car, I rested my head on my hand, and closed my eyes. "How do you feel Honey?" Mom asked me, pulling out of the driveway. "Terrible and crummy. My whole body aches, I feel like throwing up, and I'm extremely tired." I said, my eyes still closed. My voice sounded like a robot, and my throat hurt when I talked. "I bet you're tired. You were up basically all night. I swear if I ever see Soarin' around here again, he'll be sorry. Why don't you take a nap? We still have two hours until we get to the doctors office. Were going by the old house." I nodded my head, closed my eyes, and fell into a deep sleep. I had a good dream this time. Scootaloo's POV I was in an orange t-shirt and dark blue, jean shorts, while Rainbow was in sweats. I knew she was really sick then. She cold and it's like 85 degrees outside! I put on my headphones and listened to Blackgryph0n and Bassik's album IMmortal. I kept a close eye on Rainbow, who slept peacefully. After a quiet two hours, we finally arrived. We woke up Rainbow, and helped her walk inside. She was in really bad shape. She was pale and kept dosing off. As we sat down in the waiting room, she started dosing off. Mom had to wake her. She was sweating and she looked like she was gonna pass out. Rainbow's POV I was freezing cold, but I felt myself sweating in my clothes. I was still super tired and nauseous. I felt super weak, and my legs were shaking. Mim felt my forehead. "Rainbow, you're burning up. You need to take your sweater off." I shook my head no, dosing off again, my head landing softly on Mom's shoulder. "Rainbow! This is ridiculous! You need to take the sweatshirt off! You're gonna overheat! And you can't keep dosing off like this!" "No. No. I'm fine." I said. laying down on Scootaloo's lap. Mom pulled me up. My eyes had been only half open the whole day. "Come on. Its our turn." she said, as she helped me walk.
Rough NightView OnlineCrappy LifeRough NightRainbow's POV After we unpacked a few boxes, and our beds were built and made, we had Chinese Food for dinner. Luckily mom found one, on the way here. During dinner, I didn't even want to look at dad. We ate on the floor and used unpacked boxes, as mini tables. Scoots and I sat as far away from Dad as possible. "Rainbow? How was the ride up?" Mom asked me. "It was fine." I said, giving dad a nasty look, and taking a forkful of rice. "What's the matter?" she asked me. "Nothing. Just a little tired." I said, calmly. After dinner Scootaloo and I got into our pajamas. I put on my black tank top and light blue shorts, and Scootaloo wore her orange t- shirt, and yellow pants. My cheeks still hurt so bad. I told Mom I had accidentally hit my face on the van door. At 10:30 pm, we went to sleep. Scootaloo's POV I couldn't sleep no matter how hard I tried. I was always worried about Dash. What if something really bad happens to her? I was terrified my dad was going to come into my room and try to attack me in my sleep. You never know with him. He could be totally happy, and then punch you in the face 2 seconds later. It's really weird, because he's not even bipolar! I was scared, so I eventually went into Dash's room. Rainbow's POV I felt someone shake me at night. I looked and I saw Scootaloo. "Scoots. What are you doing up?" I asked her, whispering. I looked at my alarm clock. "It's 2:30 am." "I'm scared. What if Daddy comes into my room and tries to hurt me?" she looked like she was about to cry. I sat up and hugged her. I rubbed her back. "It's okay. If he tries to hurt you, you know what happens. He answers to me." I whispered. "But what happens if he does something terrible to you?" "It's okay. Don't worry about me. I'm gonna be okay." "But you actually cried today. Your cheeks are black and blue. He hurt you bad this time." "Shh. It's okay Scootaloo. Relax. I'm gonna be okay." I let her go and she wiped away her tears. "Can I please sleep with you?" she asked me. "Sure." I scooted over, and let her climb in. She hugged me and I hugged her back. We eventually fell asleep that way. I was scared for her.

Please! NO!" she screamed over and over again. I shook her to wake her up. I was scared. "Scootaloo! Wake up!" I shouted, as I shook her. Her eyes shot open, and she was sweating. She sat up quickly, looked at me and hugged me tightly, while sobbing into my shoulder. "Shh. It's okay. You're safe." I said to her, quietly, while stroking her hair. I tightly hugged her back. Our parents were still sleeping. "What happened?" I let go of her, and looked into her sad, scared, purple eyes. She just sobbed more. I could tell this wasn't just any nightmare. She didn't speak. She just sobbed and sobbed, as she lied down and covered herself in my dark blue blanket. I rubbed her back as she sobbed. The poor kid was obviously terrified. I lied down next to her. I did my bet to comfort. "Hey. Hey. It's okay." I said, wiping tears from her cheek. She sat up so I did too. She just hugged me and didn't want to let go. After a couple minutes, I let her go. I wiped away tears from her eyes. "It's okay." I said to her, smiling lightly. Just then, Mom came into the room. "Are you alright?" she asked us, concerned. "Yeah. Scootaloo just had a nightmare." I said, even though I knew it was more than just a nightmare. She came onto the bed and hugged Scootaloo and I. "I'm gonna go get some breakfast in a little bit." she said, walking out of the room. She closed the door. "Now Scootaloo. Just relax, and tell me what happened." I said to her seriously. She was tearing up again. "I ha.... had a dream wh.... where Dad w.... was beating you u.... up. And th.... then he got a knife. And h.... he slit your throat. You scr.... eamed and bl.... blood was coming out of your throat and your mouth a.... and I tried to sa.... ve you, but I was bl.... ocked by a forcefield or.... something. And the l.... last thing I s.... saw after your dead body was th.... at the forcefield broke, and Dad ch.... charged at me, but then I w.... woke up." she said sobbing, uncontrollably. She hugged and sobbed into my shoulder again. "It's okay. Shh. Shh. I'm okay. I'm here." I said, holding her tightly in my arms. I stroked her hair. She didn't deserve this. Not at all. Scootaloo's POV That dream was the scariest thing I've ever experienced. Being in Rainbow's arms feels really comforting right now. I'm sobbing and probably looking like a fool. She seemed concerned though. Rainbow's POV I knew now was the time. I had no choice, but to tell Mom Dad's hurtful actions. He should be at his new job today anyways. He got a new job being a security guard at an airport, like an hour from home. I lightly tapped my cheek and it really hurt. I had a pained expression on my face. Scootaloo noticed. She looked unhappy. Alright. It's time to tell her. No more hurtful actions.
