A sickening crack reverberated across the room. The mothers body went limp and fell to the floor as the father cried out before he too was killed in the same brutal manner. The daughter sat there, her eyes widened in fear as the two males horses went up her. She tried to move backwards but found the walls pushing her towards them. "Mystic," everything seem to say. Her dead parents, the killers, the bed, everything. "Mystic," A chorus of voices continued before she shaken awake. "Mystic, it's time to wake up". The young horse jumped up out of wet bed, her entire body drenched with sweat. Mystic looked to her left to see a orphanage worker by her bedside. "Bad dreams again? I sure you get a better sleep tonight, but right now you need to get up and get to school". The orphanage left Mystic to do her business. The light pink horse pushed down the covers and got out of bed. She then made the messy bed, pulling the sheets tight, placing the pillows on top, and completing the process with hospital corners. Then Mystic grabbed the only thing that she could keep with her, a simple saddle, a midnight blue with clouds and stars scattered across it. After she was done cleaning her room, Mystic went to the bathroom. Grabbing a brush, she began to brush her tail and mane till it was a soft and silky purple-blue.
"I know, can you believe what Hopeful Heart is wear- oh. How about we talk later," The snooty horse said. Out of the corner of Mystic's eye she pointed towards her before snickering with her friend. The gold horse was a beauty, she was skinny, but not too skinny, and her face was perfectly formed with no blemish. Her icy blue mane and tail were in loose braids, decorated with silver moons, the eyes were the same color as her mane and tail. Though her heart was probably colder. The golden horse walked up towards me before saying,"Hi! My name is Golden Star and," She paused before changing to a darker tone,"you're in my bathroom."
"No, the orphanage owns the bathroom, not some air-head like you," Mystic retorted to Golden. Golden's follower had left the bathroom, leaving just the two of them. The two horses glared at each other before Golden smirked.
"Oh, poor baby. You don't seem to know who's boss around here. Well, you'll figure out that soon. Tell you what, I will give you a chance to leave now with your dignity
