So much beautiful light...burning air I am born. The air goes into my lung's, filling me with beautiful energy. I look around, seeing other Drakon's. Smaller. Weaker. I look up, and see the biggest one. Strong-Red. Her tail reaches through the cave-hole, bringing a large cow for us to eat. The other Drakons lunge at the cow, ripping it to shreds. Strong-Red watches us wound each other to get the biggest piece of the cow. I roar, making all of my brother's look at me. I lunge, ripping through the biggest one's scales. He howls in pain, and I grab the biggest piece of the cow. I rip through it, then another piece. They eat the rest in silence, acknowledging that I was their leader, their master. I was learning to fight, being personally mentored by Strong-Red. "First, look at your foes advantages, and your own. Compare them, see who has the upper-hand and adjust your battle-style to fight them properly. Example." She said, waving her claw. Two illusionary marklings (Ponies) appeared infront of me. They were thousands of feet tall, far bigger then Strong-Red. They had both horn's and wings, and only two were known to exist. King Titanius, and Queen Varmix. I gasped, sensing massive amounts of power rolling off them. "It's just an illusion, their magic is an illusion too. The real ones, however, are far more powerful. And smaller. Or larger somtimes.." They both flew into the air, the female being faster. I took a mental note of that. Sending a wave of power at the male, who deflected it with seemingly no effort. I took a note of that. Varmix moved faster then I thought possible, having her horn sticking out of Titanius' throat. Titanius pulled away, sending fake-magic through his system, healing the wound instantly. The illusionary figures disappeared. I spoke out loud and clear. "The Female was far faster, being able to cross kilometers in nanoseconds, the male was more magical, the females horn was sharper, and the male could heal"' Strong red nodded, happy with my analysis. "I reason that the female is stronger, because she could dodge all his attacks and inflict so many so fast he wouldn't be able to heal them fast enough." Strong-Red nodded, then spoke. "In reality, Queen Varmix could no doubt kill her husband with a single thought, for their race grows more powerful with age, and she is the oldest being I know to exist so far. 100,000 to be exact. Good job, my son, we'll do this again tommorow." She said. I nodded happily, flying back to the cave. I was in the cave, using magic to research Titanius and Varmix. Strong-Red mentioned them once or twice, but nothing concrete. I was deep in research when I heard a growl. I lashed out with magic, sending the source of the growl to the ground. I looked away from my magic-research spell and lunged at the growling creature. Then I gaped. It was a Drakon, but not of my family. It was slimmer, but had more muscle and seemingly tougher scales. A female drakon. They were rare, some males having to go through magical metamorphasis in order to reproduce with a male, the reason why the next generation was slightly weaker then the last. But this one wasn't metamorphisized, it was too young and had no trace of magical changes in it. "Why are you in my cave!? How did you get in here!?" I growled. She squirmed underneath my grasp. I let go of her, and she gasped for air. "I..I got lost." She says, embarrassed. "...Ugh. Lets get you home before anyone notices." I sigh. She smiles, thankful for my help. With a spark of magic I teleport us out of the cave. "So where do you live?" I ask. "Uh...Big mountain. Near a huge crystal spire thing." I gasp, then bow down immediantly. "Your highness. Im sorry if I showed any disrespect earlier, I was not awa-" I began, then stopped as she slapped me. "Everyone does that. Just because I'm part of the royal drakon family, doesn't mean I want to be treated like one." She says angrily. "Now, can you teleport me home?" "Sorry, I can't do long distance teleport's. I can fly you there to make sure you get home without dying though." I offer cheerily. She sighs, then flaps her wings. We take off and begin conversation. "So, whats your name?" I ask her. "Ista Pulchara." She replies. "And yours?" "I don't have a name yet." I say sadly. "Well, they usually give you a name based on your talents, or what you like. So..?" "Well, Im good at battle magic. And I like Storm magic." I say. "Hmm..Storm? No, too feminine.. How about Tempest?" She asks. "That sounds nice." We land at the mountain entrance, and I wave bye. "Hey, Tempest? Maybe we could meet again? But I'll get to yours cause the royal family will kill you. Oh, and I didn't answer you how I got in. I flew in. Duh." I nod, then fly back to my cave. Its been a few day since I've met Ista, and yet I have matured so much. My brothers say lightning dances in my eyes, and when I use magic, my horns glow with silver energy. We're doing a hunting exercise, Strong-Red is going to form a dome over the forest and let us hunt, and also form a mind link to communicate. I'm in the forest with one of my brothers. He flies overhead, while I use magic to search for sentient beings. 'Brother, I've found one!" He shouts mentally. I flap my wings and use my magic to search for his mind. I find him and fly towards him. I look down at the prey and see two small beings. Marklings. Young marklings. My brother grins with brutal delight as he goes in for the kill. Flashback I roar, making all of my brothers look at me. I lunge, ripping through the biggest ones scales. He howls in pain Tempest I grab my brother, noticing a familiar scar from his shoulder bone to his foreleg. I reopen the wound, then smash him into the ground. A surge of magic hits me, magic unlike I've ever known. I blast the shield-dome that prevents prey from escaping with lightning, shattering it easily. The fillies run for dear life and my magic leaves me. I vaguely hear a voice. I'm trying to make out the words. "TWO FILLIE-" "IDIO-" Thats all I can hear. I try to focus, but I'm only granted with a surge of pain. "ROYAL FAMIL-" It's getting clearer now. Then I hear a familiar name. "ISTA PULCHARA HERS-" Happiness fills my body. Ista was here. I focus again, fighting through the pain. I wake up screaming, being greeted by my brothers, Strong-Red, and Ista Pulchara. "Hi Ista." I say casually. 'Whats up?" Everyone gaps at me. "..Yes?" I ask impatiently. "...Coma....N..No magic...." Strong-Red stutters. Then she faints. Ista runs up to me and hugs me. "TEMPEST!" She shouts. She pulls away and hits me with her tail. "You IDIOT! That spell could have killed you!" She shouts. "Well, It didn't. So thats goo-" I begin, but then Strong-Red wakes up. I tackle her with a hug. I can feel her happiness oozing from her. She gives me a look, and smiles. "My Son, I name you: Titanius!" She declares, making the cave scream with pride. I look at Ista, then shout out a word a drakon has never said during a naming cermony: "No." The entire cave goes deathly silent. "I claim the name Tempest, Primo generatio altera of the Arcanius Clan." I continue. No one says a word. My brothers begin growling, knowing that it is tradition you never deny your name. Then Strong-Red shrugs. "I like that better." The growling stops and the pride shouting starts. I slip away from the crowd before anyone engages in conversation with me. I find Ista waiting in my room. She smiles at me, a sight that I always want to see. I curl up on the floor, Itsa next to me. We lie there in silence for a while. "You denied your name for me." She says simply. "Yeah. So? I like the name Tempest." I reply. "No one EVER denies their name. I think it's cute." She says. I blush slightly. (1) "See you, Tempest.' She says, teleporting away. I curl up tighter and let sleep wash over me. 1: How would a drakon blush, I wonder. The Death of WarChaos. That was the only word that could describe the utter chaos going on outside. Pieces of land floating in the air, weird creatures appearing. Everyone was required to go to the least affected place: The Royal Castle. I've never explained it to you, have I? Imagine a huge cave, made out of crystal, with a single room big enough to house a Titanwing. I'd never met King Bellum, but the tales I've heard about him scared me. They say he lost an eye fighting The Dragon King. That he had gone toe-to-toe with a Draconequus. That he had killed an Alicorn. When I met him, I could tell everything I had been told was true. He was white as frost, with a long thin scratch across his left eye. His tail was incredibly long, the tip larger then the main section of Stong-Red's body. Anger suddenly pressed onto me, and I remembered what his name was. King Bellum. In the tounge of the Alicorns, that meant King War. Maybe his presence alone could start wars? My mind began to wonder, but a word interrupted my train of thoughts. "Chaos." King Bellum said. Everyone turned their heads to look at him. 'That is one of the two words that could describe what is going on outside. The other, is Discord." That final word seemed to carry some meaning. I heard something in the distance: the clopping of hooves. I wasn't the only one who heard it, however. The King looked at the direction the sound was coming from. Two creatures burst in. They were both tall: 35 feet by my calculations. They had flowing ethereal manes, with huge wings and pointy horns. Their eyes were glowing. One had red eyes, a black coat, with a pure white mane. (1) The other one, the slightly taller one was glowing, mane and coat changing color every few seconds. Everyone in the room present began growling, but King Bellum let out a hearty laugh. "Good friends!" He boomed. The creatures nodded, appearing in a flash of light infront of the King. "We heard news of chaos. We figured it was Discord, so we came as fast as we could." The taller one said. Looking closer, I could see that she had the slightly rounder head of a mare. I racked my brain for knowledge of alicorn's. I then recalled a paragraph from a book on the subject. The Living Legends 50,000 years after the Great Cataclysm, only two alicorns remain. Their names, are King Titanius and Queen Varmix. Queen Varmix is the elder of the two, and far more powerful. The full extent of their power is unknown, only that they, along with King Bellum have the power to fight a Draconequus. I had little doubt that the alicorns near me were Queen Varmix and King Titanius. Later on in the book, the description of the alicorns matched the appearance of the ones in the same room as me. The alicorns spoke again, although this time mentally. "Drakons. The Chaos Bringer has declared war upon us: and we will strike back! To victory!" They "said", teleporting us out of the cave. It was even more chaotic then before. Exploding trees. Chocolate milk rain, and Hot chocolate lightning. Sneezing thunder and lava roads. In the center of chaos, there was a huge beam of chaotic energy pulsing out of a throne. A chimera-like creature was sitting on the throne, it's two fangs pulsing with energy. We all went to the center, the air crackling with energy. A wave of energy stopped the chaos for a second: Then it reformed at double the force. The chimera smiled. The alicorns blasted a wave of magic at it, but the chimera simply blocked it with a claw. "DISCORD!" King Bellum bellowed, both mentally and physically. It took all my strength not to be torn apart by the sheer force that Bellum's mental voice carried. "BELLUM!" Discord shouted back at him, laughing crazily. A sharp pop, and the creature was right in front of the King. "BY SECTION 9 OF THE IMPERIAL ORDER, YOU ARE NOT ALOUD ON THIS GROUND. LEAVE AT ONCE." Discord sighed, then pulled out a glass of chocolate milk. He then threw it at the King, the explosion sending Bellum flying backwards. "By Section -9 of the FUCK YOU chaos, I am allowed here." Discord replied casually. The alicorns growled, summoning their weapons. King Bellum pushed himself off his claws, glowing with energy. I returned my focus to the alicorn's weapons. Queen Varmix had a glaive, one that was twice as long as her horn. King Titanius had a pure black sword with a sickly white aura flowing around it. Discord smiled, summoning two razor sharp scythes. He wrapped his paw (and claw) around them, getting into a fighting stance. "B-B-B-BOSSS BATTLE!" The next few minutes passed incredibly fast. I saw a supernova of light, then felt a pulse of magic energy. I saw a literal hurricane of blade slashes. Discord was standing with a bored expression on his face, King Bellum was on the ground, half dead. Titanius had his horn sliced off, and his wings too. Varmix was the only one standing. "Tut, Tut, Tut. I thought you knew better then to attack me without Accord's help." Discord sighed. Varmix growled, lunging at Discord, about to pierce his heart. A scream. A sickening scream. It sounded like hundreds of creatures screaming at once. It sounded like death. Varmix simply disappeared, the only God-being remaining standing was Discord. He smiled, then cages smashed down upon the Drakon's. King Bellum tried to stand up, but Discord pulled out a huge fly swatter. He smashed King Bellum with it, and then there was a sickening crunch. And all was silent. Seconds. Minutes. Hours. Days. Months. Years. Centuries. Millenia. I don't know how long the silence lasted, but it was scarier then anything I had ever heard, seen, or even known. My mind and heartbeat were racing, and all I could do is stare in shock as the Blood of War (2) seeped into the earth. Then something interrupted the silence. A laugh. I was furious. No sane creature could laugh at the death of something so...beautiful. (3) The other Drakon's agreed with me. Then our power surged. It was as if every Drakon was focusing their power through me, and every Drakon was focusing their power through the one's who were focusing me. (4) We were an army of gods. And we were fresh out of mercy. A blast of energy erupted from me- No. Not me. From us. Discord's paw glowed, and the full force of an army of gods met with the force of a titan. Bones snapped. Horn's shattered. Life was extingushed. But it was worth it, just to cause that monster pain. The energy faded from us, and we fell to the ground. Discord wasn't smiling any longer. Streaks of red matted his fur. (5) He was shaking slightly. And he was missing a fang. His body was destroyed, bones pushing out of the skin. Blood pooling on the ground. He slowly began to repair himself. I looked at the others. They were almost all dead. Bones cracked, eyes exploded. Chaos in their skin. I looked down, and saw the mark of chaos upon my chest. I looked back at the dead Drakons. Then I began crying. Strong-Red? Dead. King Bellum? Dead. My entire family? Dead. And...Ista Pulchara? Dead. I howled at Discord, lunging at him. I wanted to rip him to shreds. To kill him. TO REND THE FUCKING FLESH FROM HIS FUCKING SKELETON!(6) But he was too good. He infused his claw with Chaos magic, stopping me mid-air. "Tell you what kid. As the only survivor who can still stand, I'll grant you ONE favor! Anytime. Anywhere. Almost anything." He said. I struggled, trying to slice his head off. He sighed at my futile efforts. He infused his paw with chaos magic, enhancing his strength. I was turned into a drakon-base ball, and he picked up a baseball bat out of nowhere. He hit me with enough force to kill an Alicorn, but it didn't hurt. Not in the slightest. Instead it healed my few wounds. I was sent flying. I landed head first in the middle of a forest, tears soaking my eyes. I looked up to see the moon in the sky. I sighed. Night was always my favorite time. (7) I gave into nights embrace, then wandered into dreamland. 1: color scheme doesn't matter character does...color scheme doesn't matter character does... 2: The blood of war. It is the very essence of war itself. Said to run through the physical, mental, spiritual, and magical body of the host, it grants the host extreme powers, both physical and magical. Along with the power to cause wars by simply strolling along the beach side. 3: Bellum means beautiful. It also means war. (9) (10) 4: I know this is sort of a paradox but...screw it. 5: Fur? Coat? Hide? 6: Tempest is related to a sailor. 7: Tempest + Luna = Tuna (11) 8: Celestia is around 10 feet in my world. Yikes, that's a long weapon you've gots, Varmix. 9: The latin peeps have a sense of irony. 10: I used google translate for the definition. Now that I used it again, it's something different. MAKE UP YOUR MIND GOOGLE. 11: Nope. I'm not shipping them. Well..maybe I am but..IT"S NOT CANON. The Journey Begins - Part one of Two Discord. That word haunted my every waking moment. Discord. The word that terrified me, the word that had killed my species. Discord. The word that kept me moving. I had to kill him. I had to. It was as simple as that, I had to kill him. But he was too strong for me to handle. It would take an army, strong enough to surpass that of two alicorn gods and a drakon king, and rival that of an army of gods. I didn't have the knowledge required to kill him. I didn't have the power. But I did have the want. The want to get that knowledge. The want to get that power. The want, to kill Discord. No, killing him would be too good for him - He deserved to suffer. I would bound him in chains, and make him watch as I burned his race to the ground. I would break his bones, again and again, torturing him for thousands of years until he begged me to kill him. I would rip him apart, limb from limb and watch the light fade from his eyes. But before that, I would keep him in those chains until they were fused to his flesh - Then rip them off. He would scream as I tortured him, using my magic to make his life a living hell. So I needed knowledge, and I needed power. There were ten spell casting races that I knew of, Griffins, Centaurs, Dragons, Alicorns, Ponies, Draconequui, Wolves, Daemons, and Gods. I was the last drakon, and there was no hope of finding or convincing a Titan to help me, so those were my options. I had my one request from Discord, but I would save that. Who knew what monster's I would find? Now, each race was specialized. So what kind of magic did I want? Survival magic. Healing magic. Combat magic. Order magic. Defense magic. So that meant I needed to see Wolves, Daemons, Ponies, and Dragons. The dragons were close allies of the drakons, so they would be most helpful. The ponies fear Drakons, so they wouldn't be much help, but If I could convince them... The Daemons guarded their knowledge closely, so I really doubt they would help me, but I would try. The Wolves respect Drakons. The Dragons that could help me were all asleep, and very far away. Now, where did Discord place me? I remembered I had a map spell. I called upon my magic, forming the twenty-eight krals necessary for the spell. It was hard work, taking up around half an hour, or maybe a few seconds. When you're performing the most beautiful and terrible thing to ever exist, time crawls or flies as it wills. A dark purple map appeared in front of me. Now, lets see... "Aha!" I shouted. I was in the Grisilne mountains, so I was still in Alicornia. The closest to me were...The ponies. I gulped. Ponies were terrified of Drakon's, and vice versa. The King of all Ponies, King Arbmos, was said to have a spell that could control any living being. But I needed their knowledge. I guessed that Castle Polaris was about 28 kilometers away. I spread my wings and took off into the air. So what would happen when I got there? I wouldn't fight if they attacked, but simply state my request. They'd probably see me before that though, My thoughts began to wander, and about 13 kilometers through the trip I was met with a large grumbling in my stomach. I realized that I hadn't accounted for food during my quest to kill Discord. Where would I get food? I searched the landscape for obvious spots of food. I had been searching for half a minute when I saw it - An eeline pod. An eeline pod was a small lake (1) that had water that amplified magic. However, if you used a sound spell while under the effects of an eeline pod, an eeline would come out. They were four times my size. They looked rather like eels with horns. (2) I didn't know a sound spell, but I knew how to amplify my voice with magic. I reached out with magical energy towards the water. Once the water lit up with a white glow, It had been linked. I then reached out to the air-ea (3) in front of my mouth. I roared, and with the water amplifying sent pieces of ground flying into the air. I unlinked my magic and watched in awe as a huge eeline slivered out of the eeline pod. I looked into the pod quickly. It was small, too small to reach up to my tail - How could an eeline fit in there? As I pondered this, the eeline fully slivered out of the pod. It roared, and snaked around me quickly. A horn prodded in my side as constrictive force began to envelop me. I tried to use magic, but the eeline's tail wrapped around my horns. The eeline's horn lit up, and the magical water began to flow into my mouth. I tried to spit it out but the magic forced my mouth open. The eeline was choking me to death! I couldn't use magic, and the eeline was stronger than me. Was this the end? Was this my death? No. I wouldn't let it. I COULDNT let it. I called on my magic, but didn't focus it through my horn. My entire body would be the magic conductor. My magic exploded out of me in every direction, and the eeline was sent flying, half of it's body burning. I choked and gasped for air as the water stopped. I flew into the air with what little strength I had, and breathed a great stream of fire. The eeline's face was set on fire, and my strength was drained. I was sent flying to the ground, crashing into the eeline. The eeline writhed in pain, and with the last iota of my strength, I bit into it and killed it. I gasped and fell down, on my back in pain. I cast the simplest spell of the entire medical branch - A diagnostic spell. It was only three krals, and thanks to hours upon hours upon hours of casting it, I formed the three krals effortlessly. According to the spell, there was a deep horn wound just above my hip. Four of my thirty six ribs were broken. My wing was splintered, I wouldn't be flying for a while. I was lying there on the ground for...Bellum knows how long. It might have been minutes. Might have been hours. Might have been days. All I know, is that every moment was agony. I waited, and waited, and waited for my magic to regenerate. When it finally did, I used what little healing magic I knew to fix my bones. The feeling of relief washed through me like water flowing over a burn. However, my magic wasn't advanced enough to heal my wing. I could form the bones again, but connecting them would take a very long time. I pushed myself up shakily, and looked at the sky. It was...It was night. I had been lying there since morning. I began to eat the eeline, tearing it apart and turning it into food. I cooked the meat with my fire. It was a delicious meal, but no way worth the cost. I would have to find another source of food. I could always eat surrounding ethermites, (3) but that would take too long and wouldn't sustain me well enough. I didn't have time to sleep, and neither was I tired. I decided to continue on my journey, hopefully no danger ahead. However, I had to continue on on land. I wasn't afraid of anything on the land - Except for Rock Dragons. Feral dragons made of rock that could control the world around them. We had a huge war against them, it was pretty bloody... Shaking off my darker thoughts, I walked forwards, proud and tall, ready for what tomorrow had to throw at me. Twelve rock dragons appeared out of nowhere. "OH SON OF A BI-" 1: A drakon is big, so their definition of small is not small. The lake is two Tempests wide and one Celestia deep. (2) 2: The eeline fits inside because of dimensional folding magic. It's pretty much bigger on the inside 3: Mana. Ethermites is what can be used as energy, Ethernites is the liquid form, Etherbites are the solid, and Ether is pure mana. The difference between ethermites and ether is that ethermites can be consumed and used in spells, while ether can only be used by gods/titans such as Discord or the ancient (4) alicorns 4: REMOVED 5: REMOVED 6: REMOVED 7: REMOVED The Journey Begins - Part two of TwoThe Journey Begins Part Two FDQ BRX KHDU WKH VFUHDPV? I attacked first. I lunged at the biggest one, and uppercut him. I opened my mouth, and let loose a stream of fiery energy. It screamed in agony as life faded from it’s eyes. Rocky chains covered me. Wait, that isn’t right. Shouldn’t the rock dragon’s obey me since I defeated the alpha? Or was that the Air Dragons? Ah, screw it. I cast a quick diagnostic spell for weak points in the rocky chains. The spell informed me that if I applied sixteen pounds of pressure to a spot on a link of one of the chains the entire chain would break apart. Did I have enough magic? Probably not. The rock dragons came in closer, earthen magic in their jaws. I tried a spell but no, I was completely dry. This was the end. I would die right here, right no- “ARHF!” One of the dragons roared. I opened my eyes, and saw that one of the dragons rocky arms had been broken off. It yelped and tried to run, but a large blast of golden magic destroyed the remaining dragons. I saw a unicorn with a scraggly beard and tired golden eyes limp towards me. He broke away my chains and looked me in the eyes, even though I towered twentyish feet above him. “Tempest Chronodonious….” He murmured. He healed my broken wing with a flash of golden magic. “Chronodonious? What?” I asked. “I’ll do anything!” “I was gifted with the charge of two alicorn children, who I would take care of while their parents did something. Not sure what, but that’s not my business. I woke up one day to find them gone. The next week, Prince Arbmos found out he could control the sun and moon. Something only an alicorn could do.” Starswirl said. “What?” I asked. When no answer presented itself to me, although I wasn’t really expecting him to pop back and explain it, I continued my journey. I had been walking for a while now, and no more rock dragons had presented themselves to me. My wing wasn’t broken, but it did hurt too much to, fly. However, the city was in sight. A huge spiraling city, three kilometers away. I ran the remaining distance quickly. “HALT!” I heard someone scream. I looked up, and on top of a huge wall, saw a group of markling. They had weapons pointed at me, runed staves glowing with mystic power. I charged up my precious reserves of magic, and teleported to the top of the wall. “WAIT!” I scream before anyone fires. The markling don’t lower their weapons, but don’t shoot. “The King will want to see him.” One of the markling said. He turned around, pointed at a tower, and shouted. The world around me warped. One moment I was standing on top of a wall, the next I was bound in chains and magical binding rings in the middle of a throne room. I was looking at a throne, the chains forcing me to kneel(1) The throne was dramatically cloaked in shadow, a markling shaped figure sitting on it. The figure came out of the shadows, and I saw him. A tall unicorn, a curved horn white as day, a beautiful white coat and red-silk cloak. His eyes, however, were the most striking thing about him. Grey eyes but there was something in them that made me feel insignificant. Like everything I would do is nothing compared to him. Like I should do anything and everything he says. "Sorry for the chains, but you can never be too careful now, can you darling?" His voice sounded so smooth, like silk wrapping around me, filled with the same something. "Why are you here?" "I am the last of my clan, and my kind. An attack by Discord has killed all others. I do not ask for your help, I only ask for this - A place to sleep, some warm food, and access to your magical knowledge. Please, I beg of you for this." The King considered what I was saying for a moment. "I agree. However, you will have to hunt for your own food, and you are not, I repeat, ARE NOT allowed in Section 5 of my castle. Understand?" I nodded happily. "I understand sir!" This was wonderful! All of the markling magical knowledge, shelter, and food! "If you need me, I'll be in the library." I teleported to the library, then - Wait. Not allowed in Section 5, and the Starswirl markling suspects that alicorns are somewhere in Castle Arbmos. I thought for a moment. If I was caught, I couldn't make use of this knowledge. I decided to use the magical knowledge to my advantage. I browsed through the library, and found a couple of books. I opened one up, and the first thing I saw was - A Guide to Growing Magic By Twinkle Shimmer "Magic. The most beautiful thing in the world, with infinite uses. In this book, I will list the best ways to grow your magical knowledge and might. It is incredibly rare for someone to have enough rage for a being to fuel rage magic. I zoomed down the list, and paused when I saw the Discordia. Maybe the Discordia would contain information I could use to defeat Discord? I continued down the list and broke out into a grin when I saw Hatred Magic. Discord! I hated him with every fiber of my being. Surely that was enough rage to fuel hatred magic. I lit up my horns with power and channeled my rage into them. I don't know how I knew what to do, I just did. My dark purple glow crackled and flickered until it was replaced with a blood red. I grinned and tried a few basic spells. Telekinesis? A red glow picked up a book. I didn't feel any drain whatsoever on my magic. Diagnostic? I tried a diagnostic spell. It worked! Was hatred magic just an alternative to regular magic that used no magic? I used a hatred fueled telekinesis spell to collect the books I needed. A few minutes later I had a pile of books. The books for Hatred, Dimensional, Divining, Elemental, Light, Dark, Defense + Healing and Combat. I opened up Healing, as that would no doubt be the most useful. "Three methods of healing...Transfer, energy, and telekinetic? What?" A few minutes later, after I absorbed the basic knowledge in the book I understood the basic principles. There were three methods of healing - Transfer, Mana, and Telekinetic. The transfer method was healing others - Transferring your life into them. Or, vice versa. Some necromancers used this to kill enemies while prolonging their life and healing their wounds. However, when used on Immortal/Ageless beings...It wouldn't turn out well. So the combat option of Transfer was out, but it was still an interesting concept. Mana was using your own mana pool to heal the wound. This was the most complicated one as it required knowledge in the medical degree. Telekinetic was the hardest one. Using telekinesis and mana to fuse together and regrow skin, it was painful and difficult but it was the best for healing broken bones. I think that was the one Starswirl used on me. Paper appeared out of nowhere and using magical writing I wrote down Healing Branch TransferManaTelekinetic Now I knew the basic principles I would move on to the most required one - Defense. I already knew the basic defense principles - You solidified your magic into barriers of solid mana. Or, if you had advanced enough psionics like a Wolfkin, you could make nigh-impenetrable barriers of pure thought. However, I wasn't aware that there were different branches of shields. Area (2), Specialized, Defensive(2.1), Reflective, Disarming. Area was projecting a shield over a big distance. It could be applied to any other branch of shield, and was widely studied. According to this book, there was an old legend that the first seven(3) could project a shield that could encompass an entire city, or with their combined efforts, all of the world. The other ones are self explanatory. I moved on to hatred, opening the b- The wall smashed open, a building going through it. My magic sparkled to life and I teleported me (and five of the books) out. I looked up and saw the huge corpse of a black dragon fall into the city. Discord appeared over his corpse. Three more giant dragons surrounded him. They opened their mighty maws, and let loose a blast of magical fire. Discord summoned a shield, and teleported on top of one of the dragons. He tapped the head of the dragon, and it screamed. Blood came out of it's eyes as it's skin/scales were turned into cotton candy. The blood turned into melted chocolate, and the other dragons withdrew. I stood gaping in awe. 'I have to fight THAT!?' I screamed mentally. Discord grabbed the two tails of the dragons and pulled up, up, up, and flew high over the city. He let go, and all hell broke lo- A white glow entrapped the dragons. They disappeared in a flash, and Discord flew down to a balcony, on which King Arbmos was standing upon. King Arbmos smashed his hooves down. "Chaos Lord! You are not welcome here." He boomed. Discord laughed slightly. "I was just coming to check on my two favorite children! Can't their unc-" A beam of energy hit Discord. He dodged, and growled. "Are you threatening me?" Discord asked calmly. Too calmly. King Arbmos growled in reply. "You have a week to prepare for total annihilation, or evacuation. Whatever suits your fancy. Have a nice week!" He said cheerily, disappearing in a flash. Did Discord say two children? Two children. Two missing alicorn children. I wasn't allowed in Section 5... Once I finished these books, I would need to do some snooping. I looked at the books and continued to read, expanding my magical knowledge. I would need it for my battle with Discord. All the spoilers will be in a spoiler text, of course. Tell me what you want me to talk about in the comments below, but lets cover some basics. Table of Contents - Lore A Drakon's Body Magical Workings More To Come, Suggest It! LORE Long, long ago, the first being crawled out of a hole. He was a pony, by the name of Chronodocious. He was the first being to lay foot on Eqa (The name of the world in MLP, in this lore.), and the first in his universe. His brothers and sisters came out soon after him - Ellie, Mistress of the Elements, the first Griffon. Tremorhoof, King of Stone, the first Minotaur. Pyris, the Molten Lord, the first Dracon. Pyris' offspring evolved into two races - The dragons and the drakons, but the dracons were the original. Nyx, the Nightmare Queen, the second pony and creator of the Nightmare forces. They wandered the world together, questioning their origins, and their purpose. The Dagus At'al bore upon them. The Dagus At'al are the supreme forces in KoS, the equivalent of gods, representing order. However, after a slaughter at the hands of their only rival, The Deathless Lord, Dracolich, they were weakened immensely. They offered the first beings powers beyond their wildest dreams - Mastery of Time (Chronodocious,) Mastery of the Elements (Ellie), Lordship of the World (Tremorhoof), Power over Fire (Pyris,) Dominion over the Night, (Nyx.) They accepted, and became the Ancients - Mistakenly called Titans, in the time of KoS, and forgotten in the era of MLP. Eventually, they all settled in, and created species in their own image. However, with the discovery of electricity, the industrial revolution began. They were more advanced then humans will be for millions of years, although they separated and tried to hoard as much knowledge as possible. Fast forward a few thousand years, and a pony by the name of Achos was born. He was corrupted, nay, tainted by dark magic as ancient as time and twice as powerful as it's lord, now known as Chaos Magic. He used it to "improve" himself, and went on a slaughterfest - Harvesting parts for him to use as his own. He became a mismatched being with extreme power, a Draconequus. This attracted the attention of The Dagon At'al, the chaotic rivals of The Dagus At'al. Their leader, Eris, offered Achos even more power, the power of the combined Dagon At'all, to cause extreme chaos. He did as such, but in order to accept this power - He had to kill his only love. When that dark deed was done, the Dagon joined Achos, reconfiguring him into a being of extreme power - Discord. The Ancients fought against Discord, but to no avail. When everything had been slaughtered at his hand, aside from Chronodocious - Chronodocious played his trump card. All the dead were resurrected, and beings of extreme power became Alicorns. He died with the effort. The leader of the alicorns, Discord's fallen love, became Accord. The Ancients became the New Ancients, or the New Gods. Discord claimed the title of Titan. He then created his children, mutated beings in his own image, created from alicorn corpses. Eventually, he was sealed away by the New Gods, but at the sacrifice of Accord. Varmix and Titanius took her place, years later. However, as both the Dagus and Dagon At'al were gone, The Deathless Lord was able to break free. His power is growing, and he has malicious intent. A DRAKON'S BODY Each drakon is a type, designed for one specific thing. Their scale color also affects them, along with their eye color and magic color. Let's go over some types. The most common types of each body part are Magus, Brutalis, and Aeris. Magic, Strength, and Speed. Speed types are thin and light, as to move faster. Their bones are hollow, and their wings are feathered. (Note: That's only if their wings are Aeris type!) But, they're elastic. They can take a hit and bend further without breaking. Strength types are thick and heavy, to prevent them from being knocked back. They are also rebuilt to be 50% drakonite at birth, refined metal fused with crystal and mana deep within the mines of Mt. Cathool, a drakon mine deep underneath the everfree. This is done because otherwise the bones are simply too heavy, and drakonite is oddly much lighter. Magic types are rare, because they are no naturally born magic types. In the case of Tempest, he was a Strength type until he broke the shield preventing escape, which changed his bone and physical structure to be lighter, somewhat hollow, and each bone fuctions as a magical storage device. Tempest, as of Sun and Moon, can store the equivalent of 187 megaliths (The equivalent of lifting an ursa major for four minutes, although it would still take a long time to generate that much energy, and would be difficult to apply. Twilight can store 200 megaliths in compare.) Tempest's is a Magus, as mentioned before. Strong-Red and King Bellum are Speed. Ista and the unnamed drakon are both Strength. MAGICAL WORKINGS/u] Magic. Oh diddly fiddly I've been wanting to talk about this since I've began the story. MAGIC. It originates from the core of Eqa, which is where the corpse of an ancient Dagus, the first Dagus and first Dagon lie, buried in magma. The magma and their corpses both generate energy, and are broadcast into the world via an interconnecting nearly impossible to detect network of crystals all around Eqa. These are known as Leylines. So, that's where magic comes from. The corpse of two dead gods and some heat. But how do people store magic? Well, when Eqa was created by the Dagus and the Dagon, the surface was covered in crystals. In a war against the Dagus and the Dagon, and later The Deathless Lord the crystal turned into powder that fused to the bones of the first beings, and transmitted down to their children, and their children childrens, etc. Bones are covered in some of this powder, and can be used to store power, which are measured in liths. 1 lith is 1 minute of lifting a pound with telekinesis. A megalith is 7000 liths. A gigalith is 7000 megaliths. The beings with the most energy storage include Accord, Discord, Deathless, and the Dagus/Dagon. There are more beings that will be added to this list. In comparison - Deathless - 80,000 tetralith (560,000,000 liths) Dagus/Dagon - 40,000 tetralith, all combined, both Dagus and Dagon. (280,000,000 liths) Discord - 20,000 tetralith, combined force of the Dagon (140,000,000 liths) Accord - 5,000 tetralith (28,000,000 liths) The reason why Discord fears Accord is because her magic is 17x effective against Discord, and twice as much because she's an alicorn. NMM - 100 Tetralith (2,800,000 liths) Celestia - 50 Tetralith (1,400,000 liths) Luna - 50 Tetralith (1,400,000 liths) MORE TO COME Attack on ArbmosKing of Storms WKHB DUH ZDWFKLQJ KLP Tempest I was almost bouncing in joy. The books I had managed to teleport out were filled to the brim with information! Spells of war and defense, life and death, everything I would ever need! Defense, Offense, Hatred, Healing, and Light! These books could teach me so much, and they did. It was everything I would ever need Until it wasn’t enough. I had spent a couple days reading the books but yet I still wasn’t any more powerful. Until it came to me. I’ve been spending too much time reading and not enough actually using the spells, or looking around in Section 5 like I was supposed to! I stood up in the tower that King Arbmos had gifted to me. I focused and began to cast the most simple of spells, a shield. A blood red shield flared into existence. “Fueled by hatred.” I murmured. It was a simple spell to cast, but how effective was it? That was the question. I turned the shield around and cast another spell. A red aura surrounded me. (*) I lunged at the shield, and sparks flew up into the air. The shield was losing it’s brightness, and the aura was almost fizzed out. More sparks flew up as I pressed against the shield. “ARGH!” A surge of hatred magic blasted into both the aura and the shield, and a wave of magic shattered the windows. Both the shield and the aura disappeared with a pop. A book floated towards me, and I scribbled down some notes in it. “Basic Shield...withstand Aura of War...20% power…” I muttered. King Arbmos entered the room. “Tempest, are you alright?” “Fine, had a magic accident.” “Ah. Well be a little more careful next time, this room is expensive.” “I will my King.” I replied. The King smiled and walked out. I continued to practice my magic, scribbling in my notebook once in a while. A couple hours later… I checked through the last spell on my To-Cast list. I had cast all the spells I needed to, and tested their limits. I was satisfied. I picked up all the books and cast a quick informational transfer spell into an empty one. All the information from the books went into that one, which I put in a drawer. A red glow enveloped all the books and they parted, making room for the ones I had gotten from the (destroyed) library. I stopped as I felt something that wasn’t supposed to be there in my aura. I lifted all the books away and I saw a little crack in the wall. I dropped the books down and applied some pressure to the wall. It split open with a crack, and a book with a storm cloud on it revealed itself. “Odd...it doesn’t look like anything I’ve heard off.” I noted. I pulled it out and opened it. The Tempesta Ultramagica, the guide to Elemental Magic… Elemental Magic? That wasn’t listed in that guide of magic. I turned the page and began to read. I had just hit a gold mine! Defensive magic, offensive magic, all schools of magic paled in comparison to this...to this Elemental magic! Everything I would need is in here. I transferred its contents into my book, then continued to read. So apparently there were five stages of elemental magic, and five branches, each with their own use. Earth was for defence, water for healing, fire for destruction and air for mobility. Then their was another branch, a mix of all of them. Storm magic. No, it wasn’t the tornado kind of storm, but an elemental storm. It was dangerous, and unlike the other spells that had levels 1-5, this only had level 4-5. A storm over a large area, that while the caster was in that area they would be nearly indestructible, constantly healing the caster, speeding them up and causing natural unnatural disaster. Now, let’s talk about the tiers. Tier 1 is a small effect, small area, but easy to cast and easy to control. Tier 2 is a medium area, medium effect, and not too difficult but not too easy to control and a little intensive on your mana. Didn’t need to worry about that though, considering I had rage to fuel me. Tier 3 is a large area, a powerful effect and very hard to control, draining through the reserves of regular magic users within seconds. Tier 4 and 5 were labeled as the Grandmage and Archmage tiers. Both incredibly hard to cast and mana intensive, a ridiculous area and an effect strong enough to weaken even the most powerful of alicorns. I began to test the magic after placing the books back on my shelf. I could tier 1 and 2 for as long as I wanted to, although control was a little problem, and tier 3 for about 3 seconds. Funny. I attempted a tier 4, but I almost blacked out simply with the charge up. I managed to stop it in time though. Before I began to try and attempt to level up my magical skills, I decided to look in the forbidden sector of the castle. Wait. What If I did some simple air magic along with some quieting magic? I could make myself invisible. I didn’t know any quieting magic though, but I did know science. So I cast an air spell to make myself silent, and warped the air around me to make me invisible(1) But I had to test if it worked. I pressed up against the door and warped through it. I gagged at the feeling of teleporting through something. A guard was posted a bit down the hallway. I flew over to the guard and began to wave. I roared silently. Well, I made the roaring motion but did not make any sound. The guard said and did nothing. I smiled and went back. I had my hand against the wall while looking for the section, something that I loved to do back...home. My hand slipped through one of the walls and I paused. What? I asked myself. I tried it again. The wall was an illusion! I stepped through it, and it lead into a long hallway. The hallway into a staircase. Quickly moving through the hallway, I began my way down the dark staircase. It was dark. Silent. And very very deep down. As I saw a ray of light deeper down, I also felt that something was wrong. Not wrong, wrong. Something that shouldn’t be was being. I hurried down and saw two barely conscious alicorn children chained to the wall, covered in cuts, scratches and bruises. In front of them was a very sickly, thin and pale looking King Arbmos. “Worthless, pathetic!” He said, pacing back and forth. “I-i’m so-” A whip struck the smaller of the two. “DO NOT SPEAK! YOU ARE WORTHLESS! REMEMBER THAT! YOU ARE BENEATH ME!” He roared. The small alicorn whimpered. His horn glowed with dark magic. “I need my subjects...I need more power. WHY DONT YOU HAVE MORE POWER FOR ME!?” Two tendrils of darkness reached into the alicorns, making them writhe in pain. The smaller one screamed in complete agony, and then something snapped inside of me. King Arbmos, a seven foot tall pony was standing one second. The next second, a drakon almost three times bigger than him covered in flames and earthen defense, going at many MPH was running at him. The final second, that drakon smashed into King Arbmos, sending him flying into a wall and no doubt breaking 16 of his ribs. He screamed in agony as I smashed into him, my stealth magic fading as I did. “BURN!” I roared, overcome with rage. Something primal awakened in me, and I let loose a giant blast of energy. It destroyed and hit Arbmos with force that could destroy something harder then dragon scales. It drained me, not magically but physically however. Arbmos was sent flying through the walls, out into the open plains. I flew after him, air magic boosting my speed. Simple tier 2 spells could so much, against a much older, wiser and more powerful foe! I rocketed down at him, coated in fire. He stood up, the fury and might of two alicorn children (2) radiating through him. He said nothing, but smashed his hooves down. My world went white as a beam of power enveloped me, breaking my scales and tearing at my flesh. It sent me flying down crashing. “You really think that you could defeat me Tempest? While I’m ashamed that I thought you could be a helpful ally in my war against Discord, I am not sad. Good-bye Tempest.” I groaned and realized something. I crashed next to a lake. “Arbmos…” “Last words?” He paused. “Rule 1. Don’t give me time to heal.” Water came up, and crashed down upon him. It pushed him far back, while healing my also. My rage (3) reserves weren’t dampened that greatly, so I could do this. I flew up high into the sky, up to the tallest tower of Castle Arbmos. He teleported on a slightly lower tower. “I’ll remember that.” He growled. A beam of white power was sent flying at me, but I was prepared. I formed the strongest shield I can, using earth magic and other defensive magic to create a barrier. The barrier began to crack under the force of the magic that Arbmos was sending at me, and some slipped through and reached my eye. I screamed as the magic blinded one of my eyes. But, for the first time in my entire life time… I saw. I saw it all. The magical threads connecting everything...A gold and blue thread from Arbmos to the Alicorns, scared citizens and guards being connected by threads… At where I was standing, thousands of threads were leading to places in the castle. . I reached out, not with my body but with my mind, and I pulled. The threads came flying into me, and then...Arbmos spell flickered out of existence. My shield went down. A storm, a storm of the raging elements, fueled by my fury, my hatred came into existence. Arbmos. I spoke not with my body but with my soul, my mind. “What...what are you!?” Arbmos spoke in fear. The threads connecting him and the alicorns snapped. The ponies looked up and they all heard what I said next. You are the Fake King. You have no real power. You are a liar, a schemer. That is what you are. Me… My name is Tempest, and I am the King of Storms. A lightning bolt struck him, raging thunder coming with it, and burning rain began to fall. He screamed, and I opened my mouth. I roared. It was heard for miles. The power felt even further. Pure energy struck him, and King Arbmos was vaporized. While in my state of power, I warped down through the floors, in the forbidden section. A crack of power, and the alicorns were freed. I warped with them, far, far away, as far as I could from Castle Arbmos. “Live for me…” I whispered, and my whole world went white. *: The Aura of War, invented by King Bellum of the Drakons in the year 200 in the war against Discord. It creates a powerful shell around the user that will increase the strength and resistance of the user, as well and try to shred anything that touches it. It was deemed too brutal after the war, after many unaware troops were torn to bits by it. However, older books still contain instructions on the spell. 1: I KNOW THIS ISNT HOW IT WORKS DAD GET OFF MY BACK 2: Alicorns are highest in their power at two stages. Early childhood, and late adulthood. So 1-500, and 2000-10,000+, considering Arbmos drained two alicorns in one of their highest stages of power...that’s a lot of power. 3: Infinite rage for discord should = Infinite magic, right? Yes, against Discord. And even then that would still tire Tempest. Tempest is just overall very, very angry and using that against Arbmos. But there’s a limit to how angry he can be against someone who isn’t Discord. Sun and Moon(IMPORTANT NOTICE: All lore has been removed, and taken a complete edit that will be found in Notes 2.0. I apologize for the inconvience." Tempest I groaned and pushed myself to my feet. That battle had taken everything I had out of me, and the added teleportation at the end had given me a rather irritating migrane. I looked around me quickly. I would need food. I heard that there were relatives of the eeline called swerpentin, around twelve times the size. A delicacy among draconic beings, best eaten alive. I had some swerpentin meat once, Strong Red had shared it with me and my brothers. My stomach rumbled, and I heard a high pitched scream. I turned around and looked at the source. Two fillies, barely the size of my cla- Wait. I looked around me. I now towered over the trees. I was far, far bigger. Had I got a growth spurt or something? Or something, likely, as growth this fast was unheard of. I looked at the fillies again. I tilted my head down and looked them in the eye. "Who are you?" I asked. My voice sounded deeper, more mature. (1) "P-Please don't eat us!" The smaller of the two said. "Eat you?" I asked, confused. Why in the name of Bellum would I want to eat them? "Why would I want to eat you?" "Your a dragon!" The larger one said, partially in awe, partially in fear, partially in interest. "Drakon." I corrected. It was easy to make the mistake, the only difference was that drakons had multiple horns. Well, visually at least. "Dra...kon?" She sounded out. "And...your not going to eat us?" I shook my head, no. "Now, who are you two?" I asked. My eyes widened in realization after I just said that. These were the fillies that I had rescued from Arbmos, the Alicorn fillies! I noted the wings and horns on both of them. "I'm Celestia, and this is Lu-" Celestia began, but was interrupted by- "I'm Loona!" Luna, she probably meant. "Alright." Wait, I just realized something - Starswirl never mentioned how he would know when I rescued them. Fuck! That was a major oversight. "A friend of mine was coming to pick you up, but he won't be able to, for the moment. Yet I need to keep you safe..." My horns lit up with arcane energies. I levitated them onto my back, in my riders crook (2) and left them there. "Your stuck with me for a little while, I guess." I sighed. I magically collected some apples and dropped them onto there. "Eat them when your hungry. Actually, eat them now. I need to get food..." I said. I levitated them off my crook, and searched the area with magic. I should be able to detect any swerpentin with a simple spell. The spell detected a great cavern underneath a nearby lake, filled with swerpentin. Hmm. They were rather large, about the size of trees. Would I be- Oh. Forgot that I was larger. I grabbed my journal from...Wait. Where did I grab them from? I looked back, but saw no clue as to where I had stored the journal. Odd, and somewhat headhurting. "Agh, that makes my head hurt..." I grumbled. I used my telekinesis, reaching through the barriers of rock in the lake, into the swerpentin lair. Four swerpentins burst out of the lake, as I smashed them through the roof of their cavern. Screaming and bloodied, thrashing and writhing, the swerpentin's attacked. I let out a stream of fire, cooking them alive. I then ate them quickly. Mmm, crispy. I grabbed another one, live, and gulped it down. The struggling made it all the more tasty. I turned around and saw Loona hiding behind Celestia, who was standing tall, looking at me fearfully. "I have to eat meat. I cant survive on apples." I said. Celestia didn't reply. "Hmm...Wait a minute." I would need a "lair" of sorts, one that I could use to practice my magic. More like a laboratory...A home base. I could fit in the cavern that the swerpentins had made, and it was rather roomy. Plus, came with a supply of water and food. It was also getting dark, and would be night in a few hours. "Stay here." A large quantity of apples dropped onto the ground. I dropped down into the cave, and looked around. The main room was large, and had multiple corridors that no doubt lead into rooms and other corridors. I smiled. "I can work with this." Within a few hours, I had removed all stalagmites and stalactites, smoothed out the entire cavern (well, the corridors and the main room,) and use some stone to create small furniture, larger furniture, and a holding tank of sorts for any water. I had also created a large slab of stone that I could sleep on, and using precision telekinesis created a leafy "bed" for the fillies. I levitated them in, and set them on there. "Alright. Go to sleep." I said, yawning. "We'll...live here for now." I yawned. I don't think that I would need to visit every species for magical knowledge, all I would have to do is improve my understanding and skill of/with magic. "Mr Dragon, what's your name?" I heard Loona ask. "Yeah, you didn't tell us yours, did you?" Celestia stated. "My name...My name is Tempest." I said. "Tem...pest..." Loona said. She closed her eyes with that, and dozed off to sleep rather quickly. Celestia then followed suite, and I closed my eyes, going into a dreamless sleep. I was awoken to the sound of screaming. I bolted awake, and was greeted by a swerpentin slithering through one of the corridors. Luna and Celestia were screaming as it came closer, hundreds of eeline children slithering around it. They were about the size of Celestia, but were in such large quantities... I grabbed the children with magic and levitated them onto my "bed." I stood in front of the eelines and the swerpentin. Jagged rocks from the top of the corridor suddenly jutted out, encased in a dark purple glow. I didn't have any rage fro the swerpentin, so I couldn't fuel it with my rage. I focused, and let loose a powerful tier 2 elemental fire spell. This one was of my own tinkering, that I had discovered while smoothing the cavern with fire. It was similar to my plasma beam, but 4 times at powerful. The swerpentin thrashed about, but that only served to further it's wounds as the jagged rocks continued to pin it to the ground. The plasma spell hit the swerpentin, and the eelines. The eelines were ground to dust, while the swerpentin simply died, going limp. I retracted the rocks and grabbed the swerpentin by the tail, swallowing it hole. I would need to clear out the entire cavern... "Go back to bed." I said, but was greeted with no response. I turned around, and saw an already sleeping Loona and Celestia. I looked through the cavern entrance. It was dark. Yet I was still completely awake...Time to get to work. At the end of the day, I had finished smoothing out the cavern, removing any and all stalagmites/stalactites that I came across. I had found the source of the swerpentin and eelines, and turned into a prison of sorts for the swerpentin/eeline. I had also used my magic to engrave a map of the cavern into the stone walls of the main room. I quickly went back to the main room, and went back to bed the second I got in there. The day was exhausting, and not that productive in terms in gaining more magic power. Hopefully tommorow, I would be able to accomplish more. I closed my eyes, and dozed off into sleep. I was woken by the sound of Loona groaning. "I'm hun-gryyyyyyy!" Loona groaned. Celestia sighed. "We can't get any food until Tempest wakes up..." Celestia murmured. "You woke me up." I said, yawning. I rose to my feet and stretched out my back. My horns lit up with arcane energies, and some grass and apples were brought down from the topside. "I don't like it here, it's too dark..." I tilted my head. Dark? It was bright thou- Oh. I had forgotten that drakons were more used to dark areas then ponies. Hmm... I opened up the Tempest Ultramagica, which was filled with blank pages for some odd reason. I had been using them for any of my own creations. I summoned a bit of elemental fire, and used telekinesis to mold it into a spherical shape. I moved it into the wall, and tried to keep it running. I let go of my spell, and it fizzled out. I knew that would happen. Now, how to make it run indefinitely, was the question. Hmm... I could make it draw ether from the air, but that could be dangerous. Grr, this is making me annoyed. I summoned the flame once more, and looked at it. Studied it. I looked through some notes that I had scribbled in the Tempest Ultramagica, and noticed that one mentioned something about a magelight. A magelight was practically a light that needed only an ounce of magical energy every day. Now, what was the kral formation? It was simple, by the looks of it. I quickly formed the necessary krals, and began to set magelights all over my cavern. I groaned and collapsed in the main room. I was exhausted, more mentally then physically. After bringing down some grass, some more apples, and some other plants for Luna and Celestia to eat, I closed my eyes...And slept. Discord Discord stood over his master's corpse. Emperor Blarg lay stricken down, his blood on Discord's paws. His guards lay slumped around him. He smiled, chaotic energy flickering around him. He opened his mouth, and devoured the souls of Blarg and his guardians. He was more powerful, then ever before. Accord could not match his might, and Tempest was not even an inconvenience. Why ever the First desired him alive was unbeknownst to him, nor did he care much. He was a true Titan now, more powerful then any draconequi. He flew outside of Castle Chaos, located wherever, whenever. The draconequi looked at him fearfully, and saw that he was their god - Their master. He stood tall above them. "Delicious..." He whispered. Their souls were devoured in yet an instant, thousands of infants and millions of draconequi dying in an instant, all over the planet. Power beyond that of any flowed throughout him. The draconequi race was extinct. Discord was the last, and the most powerful. Yet, with all his power, he never noticed the dark god feasting on his power, waiting to return. *: Sudden exposure to a large quantity of magic produced from...somewhere, accelerated his growth greatly. He's currently growing at x2.7 times the rate of a regular drakon. 1: Think Odahviing from Skyrim. 2: The riders crook is a little indent at the base of the neck, where scales are flatter and blunt, smooth and softer. It is the most vulnerable part of a drakon, save their eyes, and was often protected by saddles, used by the ancient drakon-riders of old. Note: Physically of the trio (Loona, 'Tia, Tempest,) Tia is the oldest, Loona is the second oldest, and Tempest is the youngest. Tia is 12, Loona is 7, and Tempest is 3. However, Drakons age differently from other species. The more powerful they are, the more mature they are. Of all the rulers, Bellum was the youngest, yet mentally the third oldest, around 100,000 years old mentally, yet a mere 10,000 physically. Note x2: An eeline would be around 15 feet tall, 7 wide. Tempest is now 97 feet tall, 28 wide. A swerpentin is 14 wide, 25 tall. Damn, Tempest got a helluva growth spurt. (*) Gods and TitansGods and Titans A side story to The Death of War Discord My name is Discord. I am sure your aware of that. All I was doing, is popping in to say hello to my favorite little orphan: But NOOOO, those fucking alicorns just had to ruin everything! So, back to the story. I pulled out my two scythes, feeling the hum of magic inside of them. Varmix summoned her glaive, and Titanius had his sword. Sword's are SO old fashioned. And King Bellum? He doesn't even use a weapon! I thought he would learn from last time, when I whooped his sorry ass. I summoned a hurricane of razor sharp knives, sending it to deal with the King. I lunged at Titanius and Varmix, the only real threats. I slashed, aiming to decapitate them. Varmix moved faster then even her predecessor, Ximarv could, stabbing me in the back with her Glaive. Titanius wasn't so lucky. His blade wouldn't be fast enough, so he had to duck. Which lead to the cutting off of his horn. Chaos magic surged through me, it exploded out of me. Varmix was sent flying back, and I went in for the kill for Titanius. Both his wings were cut off, and an explosion of Chaos turned his bones into pebble sized fragments. I turned back around just in the nick of time, as a glaive was about to go through my neck. I appeared behind Varmix; No flash of light, no sound. no whoosh. I was here, then I was there. I went for decapitation again, but King Bellum saved her life. He moved faster then any drakon I'd ever seen, and bit right into my shoulder. I'm sure I would have howled in pain if it wasn't for chaos. It exploded through me, healing my bones and skin, and most of Bellum to mush. I left him in a state where he could barely get up. The fight was over. Varmix was the only one standing. "Tut, tut, tut. I thought you knew better then to attack me without Accord's help." I sighed. She lunged at me, her glaive glowing with the force to kill me. So I tugged. Magic truly exploded out of me, it ran through my blood, through my body, through my soul. Every hole I had poured out energy, even my eyes. My body was converted into pure energy for a few seconds. I wanted Varmix to be gone, to disappear. To simply be not. So when I tugged on my magic, she obeyed. Being an alicorn, she could reconstruct her body. But it would take years and years. Thousands possibly. Then she would have to reconstruct as her old form, and slowly grow to her current level of power. So all my threats were gone. Except the drakons. Cages appeared on them, and then I fly-swatted King Bellum, putting an end to his life. I laughed madly, then a magical hum came from my right. I turned my head, to see an army of gods looking at me. And eventually, an army of gods could overwhelm a Titan. I gulped in genuine fear. A wave of harmonic magic was sent at me. I infused my paw with all my chaos magic at my disposal, and hit the wave. I willed it to disappear. It did, but I was truly damaged. My bones? Broken. My organs? Gone. Although I didn't have many. My flesh? Ripped from my fucking skeleton. (1) My magic? Nearly gone. All I had was a single scrap that I could only use to heal myself. My body was healed almost instantly, but that drained my magic to a mere trickle. The remaining wounds took time to heal. All the gods were dead. I gasped internally. I had killed many gods, three at once. But an army? Unheard of. Even my master, Emperor Blarg didn't have that much power. And my power regenrated quickly. One of the drakons lunged at me, still standing. Hmmph. I stopped him mid-air. Although I actually had to try. He had my mark on him, which meant he wouldn't be easy to affect. As a reward for the little guy being the only one standing, I granted him ONE favor. Then I turned him into a baseball and sent him all the way to Alicornia. I laughed as I remembered what Accord said all those years ago. "DISCORD!" She had shouted. Her mane had been floating in the storm of chaos. Or maybe that was just her magic. "YOU NO LONGER HAVE CONTROL OF THIS FOREST! YOUR INFLUENCE IS GONE! THE ENSLAVED FOREST IS NOW THE EVERFREE FOREST!" She continued. I was, for the first time in my life: horrified. I had felt fear before, but nothing like this. I knew she had the power to melt me, but she wouldn't. So instead, she summoned those accursed elements. The elements of harmony, as she dubbed them. I had forgotten what they'd looked like, since it had been so long. She focused her immense power through them: her ethereal mane becoming a jungle of individual hairs. Her once huge form reduced to the size of a slightly taller then average mare. Then, those accursed elements turned me to stone. Petrified me. But at that time, I was powerful. Not strong enough to fight Accord, but strong enough that my magic would be able to chip away at hers, even when petrified. I looked at the Everfree forest. Chains of chaos magic wrapped around it. The forest had been enslaved once more. "AND THUS, BEGINS THE DISCORDIAN ERA! 1: Yes. This is a reference to The Death of War A Rather Chaotic Interlude Discord I looked down at the scene. King Arbmos was beaten near to the point of death by that drakon. He could be a very...large threat to me. I watched as he was sent flying, with the two fillies I had given to Arbmos for safekeeping. Backstabbing little rat...I watched as he landed, the fillies beginning to stir. Might as well end it now. I opened up a rift and prepared a bolt of chaotic energy, enough to kill him. CHAOS LORD. A voice rumbled. "What in the void?!" I flew up and closed the rift. I looked around myself. YOU SHALL CEASE. YOU SHALL NOT DESTROY THE STORM KING. The voice replied. "Or what?" I asked. As if anything or anyone could do anything to me. Look behind you. The voice whispered. I turned around and I looked into the eyes of a god. Chronodocious looked into my eyes, and I looked into his. "Try me." He disappeared. I looked back down at Tempest and frowned. "Under protection, I see..." I cackled. "Soon, Tempest, I will be licking your blood from my claws."
Birth King Of Storms Rewrite Written by Equis Ferus Callabus Edited by God Of Physics Tempest who...what....am..i? what is that...that...is light. i must eat the light... what is this feeling. it is...strength.
The difference between ethermites and ether is that ethermites can be consumed and used in spells, while ether can only be used by gods/titans such as Discord or the ancient (4) alicorns 4: REMOVED 5: REMOVED 6: REMOVED 7: REMOVED
The Journey Begins - Part two of TwoThe Journey Begins Part Two FDQ BRX KHDU WKH VFUHDPV? The following is a table that has a type of magic, how to grow knowledgeable in it, and my own personal comments in it. There are many more branches of magic, but these are the core ones." Magic Where to LearnCommentsDefenseWorld of Defense - Clover the CleverDefense. The most basic of magics. Creating shields is not all that defense is - Creating resistance to magic, poison, hardening skin, etc.HealingA Healer's Guide - Clover the CleverHealing is no doubt the most useful magical skill. Practiced healers can regenerate lost limbs, and a few can even resurrect the dead without necromancy for a few minutes every day.CombatThe Magus' Guide - King Skardenfrost of the WolfkinCombat is the polar opposite of healing magic. While healing is getting rid of wounds, combat is inflicting it. Most magics can be used for combat, but combat magic in combat is often the most devastating.Dark MagicNecronomicon - Unknown Dark Magic is not inherently evil, and should not be treated as such. However, writers of dark magic tome books may include curses that will corrupt. Why? The reason has been long since lost to time. The Necronomicon's curse can be disabled with the words - "Klaatu, verata, nikto."Light MagicSolaria - UnknownLight magic, like Dark Magic is not inherently good, and should not be treated as such. Totes of Light Magic are often commonplace in unicorn households. The Solaria contains ancient knowledge older than the Necronomicon, and has been copied down. It is in 80% of all libraries.Chaos MagicDiscordia - DiscordChaos magic is widely unknown, and incredibly hard to use. The Discordia was written by it's most well known practitioner, the Old King, Discord.DiviningSeer - Delphi of the WolfkinSeer only describes how to make Divining more common. If you don't have the talent for it, your out of luck.Dimensional MagicDimonsacia - Delphi of the WolfkinDimensional magic is spells such as null-space storage and teleportation. The spells, while hard to use/maintain are incredibly useful.TitanomancyTitans - The ImmortalWritten by the mysterious immortal, Titanomancy is harnessing the very forces of creation to heal or harm. I don't know much about it, only that is is incredibly dangerousElemental MagicElementia - Delphi of the WolfkinIt seems all the books are written by Delphi, aren't they? Elemental magic is harnessing the four elements to do your bidding.Hatred MagicWar - King BellumAn ancient drakon magic that harnesses the forces of hatred to cast incredible spells that feed on rage energy. Notes V.2The home of backstory and information. NOTE: There will be some spoilers. NMM - 100 Tetralith (2,800,000 liths) Celestia - 50 Tetralith (1,400,000 liths) Luna - 50 Tetralith (1,400,000 liths) MORE TO COME
Attack on ArbmosKing of Storms WKHB DUH ZDWFKLQJ KLP Tempest I was almost bouncing in joy.
Gods and TitansGods and Titans A side story to The Death of War Discord My name is Discord. 1: Yes. This is a reference to The Death of War
A Rather Chaotic Interlude Discord I looked down at the scene.
