Equestria Girls: A Christmas Miracle

"Hey guys!" said Scootaloo as she woke up Applebloom and Sweetie Belle, "We're entering a contest!"

"What contest?" asked Applebloom sleepily.

"The Sweetest Gingerbread House Contest!" said Scootaloo.

Hearing this, Sweetie Belle grew hyper and excited.

"Really?" she asked as she hopped up and down.

"Yeah really," said Scootaloo.

"Well, what're we wait'n fer?" said Applebloom, "Let's get goin'!"

When they arrived at the cafeteria of Canterlot High, thousands of students and small children were already in line before they did. Scootaloo's eyes shrank in shock.

"That's a bunch'a people," said Applebloom.

"Now what are we going to do?" asked Sweetie Belle with fear, "The poster said that the contest entry ends in two days!"

"Yeah," said Scootaloo, "We can't wait that long!"

After 5 hours of long lines, they finally can enter to contest.

"Finally!!!" Scootaloo exclaimed.

When they went to sign up for the contest, Watermelody told them that the sign-ups were closed for today.

"WHAT?!?" they shrieked in shock.

"We've been here for 5 whole hours!" complained Scootaloo.

"Yeah," said Sweetie Belle, "Just for us to sign up!"

"I'm sorry, girls," said Watermelody, "We, the staff of the contest, have to go home right now. You can come back earlier tomorrow."

The next day, Applebloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo tried to get in line earlier and it turned out better than they expected. They were the very first in line to sign up for the contest! Watermelody accepted their entry. Now that they were entering the contest, they needed to come up with an awesome design on the gingerbread house. It took them a few days to finish their gingerbread house by adding tiny candies for doorknobs, icing for texture on the house, and gumdrops for bushes. When the contest was about to begin, they carefully placed it on the table to be examined by the judges. After the judges examined all of the contestants' gingerbread houses, they wrote down some scores.

"Ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the awards!" said the announcer as the crowd applauded.

Applebloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo were kind of nervous, but hoping that their house will be the sweetest. The announcer continued on.

"The judges have made their decision," she said, "4th place for the Sweetest Gingerbread House, goes to Periwinkle Cupcake, Fudge Dripple, and Confetti Sprinkle!"

The crowd applauded as the announcer gave the 4th place ribbon to Periwinkle and her friends.

"3rd place for the Sweetest Gingerbread House, goes to Icing Frosting, Cinnamon Stick, and Licorice Twist!"

The crowd applauded again as the announcer gave the 3rd place ribbon to Icing and her friends. Applebloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo were even more nervous than before.

"2nd place for the Sweetest Gingerbread House, goes to Applebloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo!"

The crowd did the same thing as the announcer gave the 2nd place ribbon to Applebloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo.

"1st place and the grand champion for the Sweetest Gingerbread House, goes to Gingersnap, Sugar Rush, and Candy Crush!"

The crowd went wild when the announcer gave the 1st place ribbon and a trophy to Gingersnap and her friends.

"Congratulations!" she said.

"Oh well," said Applebloom, "Better luck next time."

"Yeah," said Scootaloo, "At least it's better than nothing."
