For the past few years I've been writing a post-apocalyptic novel Seventh Circle. It focuses on character development of a young soldier in a world devastated by the impact of a large comet. Against the backdrop of a war between two surviving groups, one soldier finds herself questioning her purpose in life.

Unfortunately I've not had much inspiration in the past few months. Recently, though, I've been wondering how I could adapt the story to fit into the MLP universe, considering there are some very similar themes (in terms of characters, morals, etc). This is my first foray into the world of both MLP fan-fiction, so I wish to use some familiar ground – consider this opening prologue a gauge of interest before I venture further and start introducing more recognizable pony-elements.
