Defiance

Hello my name is John. Well, I might as well tell my story while I can. The year was 2034 and a new land mass appears in the west coast. It was inhabited by ponies. No, I am not crazy. Now back to the story. There are three types of ponies, Pegasus, Unicorn's and Earth ponies. Yes, they are from tales of old. They said they came in peace. They were peaceful for two years, but then they attacked us and turned us in to ponies and this is where we are today.  We are the resistance, few in numbers, but in fire power we are unstoppable. Our army's are dead. We will forever remember the fallen soldiers lost in battle.

My best friend says, “John, get to the gate we are under attack. Go to the armory.” When I reached the armory, the supply Sergeant hands me my standard equipment.  My guns are a M4A1 and a P99. Five minutes later, at the gate, I hear an explosion outside. Then a private next to me says, “They can't get through that right, its five feet thick!” I say," I don't know". "Weapons tight", our C.O. yells at us.  Another three or four explosions and then we start to hear the gate groan from the pressure. After one final explosion, the gate flies back at us and we hear a voice like thunder yell “humans give up, being a pony is not bad. We are not the enemy but you are.” We all yell out, “never," and rush forward guns a blazing.  It was a massacre for us. The top scientists of Equestria made bullet proof armor for the army. They were ready for us. My comrades were falling left and right. The pony that yelled was Luna.  Crap I yell, as a spell whizzed by me. Gun fire rose over where I saw my best friend fall to a combat spell. I tell him he will be avenged. The C.O yells, "frag out".  Another spell went by my head. I fire back until my gun ran dry.  I yell. "Cover me, I am reloading". This went on for hours. I yell," I am out of ammo", and switch to my P99.  Finally my C.O. yells," fall back to the H.Q". We hold the line. There we either win or die. Here it’s up to you. "Now get to the H.Q. or be locked out." I run like there is no tomorrow and just make it. "Get the T90 out here now". The T90 is a WWII Russian tank. We hear rams starting to bang against the old wooden door. Just as the T90 rolled up, the door burst open. Combat spells and potions flew through the door. "Ready, aim, FIRE!" All of us fire at the ponies as they stupidly charge through the secondary gate.  After 30mins my guns run dry. I pull out my combat knife. "Come at me you ponies". "Incoming"!  A man pushes me out of the way, just in time as a spell hits were I was. “Thanks man”, I say.  All I see is his right hand on my chest.  I yell, “O.M.G. in my head"! I keep saying I could have done something, I am sorry. The last C.O. yells, "we are being overrun, detonate nuke"! "What nuke! We don't have one! Fuck!

The C.O. yells, "get him to the EVAC Choppers!" I feel myself getting pulled away and toward an awaiting Chain-hook troop carrier helicopter. We just manage to take off as a barrage of arrows just misses the chopper. It's taken us about eighty minutes to get to our secondary base. When we land the last C.O. jumps out of the helicopter just before it land. He runs over to a private and yells in his face, "Do we have any nukes here?"  "Yes sir, we have one,” he says. Okay, great, fire at our old HQ, but sir we can't we still have inbound troop carriers coming this way." I don't give a shit, fire that nuke private."   But sir! Do It! Yes sir FIRE NUKE! Then I hear a siren blaring T-minus 10 seconds to nuclear launch. 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1........then I see the nuke just leave it's silo!

                                                                                           Luna's POV

Your Highness, some humans have got away, nothing we can do at the moment. Ready the prisoners for pony-fication. Your Highness we have a nuke come at us, "EVERY PONY RUN!" I yell. Then I charge my horn for long range teleportation. One minute later at a safe forward operating base. Luna, Your Highness, “Are you ok.”  “Yes, I am OK, I teleported out just before the human weapon went off. “Any survivors”? “No, your Highness.”

(Five days after nuking old base.)  John, are you OK. "Yeah I'm just a bit shell-shocked."  "Besides we are under lock down." What dam base are we in?" "It’s Safe house 100432." “I thought it was destroyed." "It was but we repaired it."  "Okay now what now?" “We wait."  As the days go by, the pain from losing loved ones dies down but never goes away. Three years after pony war, I woke up to a sound I never wanted to hear again.  It was the pony alarm." All hands to battle stations." I rush to the supply deck to get my equipment.  Inside the supply depot it is complete chaos. I had to push my way to the front desk, I pushed people out of the way and I'm pretty sure I heard a cat on the way there. And I think, where did that cat even come from? When I reach the front desk the supply Sergeant give me my equipment and tells me to head to the front gate ASAP. Ten minutes later at the main gate, the C.O. starts a speech to get us energized for the battle. He says, " we have all of humanity here, if we fall, humanity falls with us" Just as the speech finished the automated defense turrets open fire on the incoming pony's. "So to victory, my comrades! ATTACK!" I put an entire clip into a pony, that pokes his head through the door, and move on for hours on end.  They keep coming. Sir, “is that Princess Luna and Princess Celestia?"  "Yes it is." Luna looks my way and runs at me. I pull out my sword and we lock in combat. I make a jab at her; she dodges just in time and attacks me head on. We attack for hours on end.  I jab at her she jabs at me. After an hour more, I run for it. I make it to my plane and try to take off.  I just manage to get off the runway and Luna flies after me. Come on baby, just a little more speed, I say to the plane. Once the plane reaches its full speed, I say, dam it, it's not fast enough. I switch to auto pilot and run to the rear turret. This is a WWII plane and load the duel M1919 Browning’s and open fire at Luna.  As I let loose a wall of lead, I did not notice Celeste go up front. I feel the plane going down.  (No I will not fall for humanity). I go to manual control, and go to a pony base camp and drop the bombs in it and say eat bombs ponies.  I feel the plane shudder and I see fire in all the engines. I yell in to the radio, mayday, mayday, mayday!   I grab a parachute and jump from the plane and pray for a safe landing. When I land I see Luna waiting for me and she yells to me to give up. And you know what I say back, never in my life! I will rather die than be a pony so go to hell! I see her pull out her sword and do the same and we attack, with wining on our minds. But for me it was not to be, as her sword gets me in the leg. I yell out in pain, but I get back up. She says, you yelled never I say and attack her. But before I get to her I see a rainbow coming at me and I yell at her for humanity and I say in my head is this the end?
