The Executioner took a deep breath. Her next words would condemn the prisoner, regardless of what they both felt, they had failed. There was an enormous crowd awaiting the final result. The Prisoner held her face down, there was no more fight in her. The Executioner held back a wince.

"For your crimes against Equestria..." The Executioner looked around desperately, wishing and hoping that somepony would come to her rescue. She then remembered, she had crushed all rebellion, she had killed all opportunity for the Prisoner's salvation. Now there was only her. The crowd held it's breath.

"I condemn you..." She looked down at the Prisoner. She lay still on her hooves, unmoving.

"Do it." Spoke the Prisoner. The Executioner's eyes widened.

"I..." She repeated.

"Kill me! Do it!" Yelled the Prisoner.

"I-"

"Let this end Celestia! Kill me! Kill your own sister!" Tears fell from Celestia's eyes. They made a soft pitter-patter in front of Luna. She slowly looked up after realizing her sister truly was crying.

"Luna..." Luna grit her teeth against Celestia's soft words.

"Do not speak to me like you care, kill me like you have all my followers. End me like you have my ponies. Let me go to rest with those that I may truly call 'family!'" Fury mixed with tears in Luna's eyes. She had lost so much. They both had, and now it was supposed to be over. Life was truly cruel.

"I am truly sorry Luna..."

"Do not feel sorry for me Celestia, you made your choice. You caused this. Now kill your sister as you had so long desired." The crowd picked up. They whispered to each other in confusion and anticipation.

"Is she going to execute her or not?"

"Will she forgive her?"

"She cannot, she is a monster!"

"Kill her!"

"End the cruel Night!" The crowd kept to themselves but a riot would ensue unless a choice was made.

"This is not what I wanted sister!"

"Then what did you want? Power? Control? Adoration? Well gaze upon there faces and have it all to yourself as you have always dreamed dear sister. Continue your selfish tyranny."

"Kill her! Kill her!" The crowd began to chant.

"Give your people what they came to see," Celestia lifted her horn as Luna displayed her neck, "Show them the death of a God." Her horn glowed powerfully.

"Princess Luna, I condemn you to be banished to the Moon!" Celestia brought down her glowing horn unto Luna as she gasped in confusion. The sky opened above them as Luna was struck on the head. The Moon shown brightly and Luna was surrounded in light. Her form began to stretch vertically as the light grew harsher. A powerful gust picked up and the crowd cheered confusedly. To them justice was served, at least until they realized what she had actually said.

Luna felt nothing. There was only light. At first it blinded, then it was clear. It took a bit to process, but it was clear. Their castle shrank below her, it kept shrinking until it was a speck, then it was gone. She saw the continent of Equestria and all it's territories, it too came to a blur. The planet suddenly came into view. It was a small marble. So much trouble had come from intervening with that planet. So much pain had come from there. She was almost glad to be gone, but then she saw their faces. The Midnight Military whom bled for her, each one was there, each one believed in her. Atlas, the only stallion whom loved the Moon as much as she, and their child whom never took it's first breath. She then saw the little colt that had become her son, she saw as he became her General and fought to exhaustion to prove her right. In one move, Celestia had done the single most cruelest thing she could think of, she had taken away her family. Anger and hatred fueled her as the Moon engulfed it's Mother. It opened in an embrace and became whole. Luna watched the little blue planet as the Moon began to close itself around her.

"I shall return sister, know this. I shall take back what you have stolen" Darkness slowly pooled around her. She was cocooning. She was waiting. Next time she awoke, there will be a reckoning.
