Chromatic Bolt was having a rough day at school. Not only did he arrive almost an hour late to class, which meant that as soon as he went through the classroom door he would be laughed at, but his penis had also stayed very hard since the morning. He had heard his mom and didn’t bother taking a cold shower to make it go down, but he had been thinking through this whole morning that maybe he should have. Seeing mom doing those stretches had not helped his condition either. He wasn’t sure why, but as he stared at her doing her exercises his dick started feeling different than normally, pulsating and sort of tickling him, but not really. It was an odd feeling that he didn’t quite understand. It had stayed that way since then through the whole flight to school and until now, in front of the classroom entrance door. He was fortunately wearing clothes that covered it up well, much to Bolt’s relief. Sure, mom may have said that it was ok, but he assumed it meant that it was ok at home, not anywhere else, judging by the fact that nobody went around showing their penis.

“Well… best foot forward I guess.” he muttered to himself as he started opening the door.

“… and that is why parasprites are to be reported on sight… OH, if it isn’t Mister Chromatic Bolt. A whole hour late. I’ll be calling your home to inform them of this.” The teacher issued his standard threat. It didn’t really bother Bolt too much, since his mom already knew and all, but she would be mad he spent another ten minutes lost in his thoughts before making it into the classroom.

“Sorry Mister Noodles. Won’t happen again.”

“I’m sure it will. Just take your seat.”

“Overslept again, eh Chromy?” asked Selena Pie, one of his best friends, who also happened to sit beside him.

“Yep. Overslept and then stuff happened.”

“Stuff?”

“Will tell you on recess. For now just let me copy what the teacher was saying before I got here.”

“Sure thing Chromy.”

Class progressed normally after that. While his penis kept bothering Chrom as events of the morning kept playing on his head, it eventually softened up and he was able to sit comfortably again. Unbeknownst to him, Selena was keeping him in his peripheral vision, seeing him fidget on his seat.

“So what happened?” Selena asked half a second after the recess bell rung.

“Umm…” Bolt hummed, exiting the classroom with his friend “Sooo… This morning… Before I woke up… I mean, as I was waking up…”

“Jeez Chromy, haven’t seen you this nervous since we were planning how you were gonna apologize to Aunt Twilight for breaking one of those stained walls on her castle. This surely can’t be that bad.” Selena impatiently urged him. Then her expression turned into a stiff one. ”Can it?”

The memory of how scared he was at the time left Bolt shuddering “No no no no, it’s not something bad at all. It’s just… I was sleeping and having a dream about racing with Amethyst and then…”

“Ohhhh! Don’t worry Chromy my man.” Selena cut him off, quickly getting on his side and poking him with an elbow. “I’m sure that if you ask to smooch her she wouldn’t be too opposed.”

“SHUT UP SELENA!” Bolt yelled as quietly as possible, quickly getting a fierce blush.

“Sorry, sorry. You just set it up way too easy.”

“Thing is… this dream may have involved a bit of smooching…”

“Ha! I knew it! Now Angel Song owes me five bits!” Selena cheered.

“What? Did you two bet over this?”

“One bet over if you fell for her before or after the race, and one for whoever wins.”

“Who did you bet on for winning?” Bolt asked, knowing that Selena Pie’s luck was unmatched in Ponyville.

“Not telling you now silly. That would just ruin the race for you!” Chromatic Bolt just shot a dirty look at Selena. “But don’t let me take you away from your story, Chromy. Please continue.”

“Yeah yeah. Anyways, I had fallen asleep kinda late after hanging out with mom and dad, so I overslept…”

“…About an hour more than usual, no?”

“How did you know that!?” Bolt asked rather surprised.

“Uhh, because you arrived an hour late, dodo.”

“Oh. Yeah.”

“Stop beating around the bush and tell me whatever happened Bolt! Recess is probably close to over by now!”

“You keep interrupting me!” Bolt defended himself.

“Maybe, but you still have to tell me the whole story!”

“Ok, ok. So I was dreaming, then mom stormed into the room. Guess she had a long night with dad, because she woke me up like an hour later than usual. I woke up right away, but I kept my head under the covers. When I didn’t get up, she punched the wall of my room off…”

“Wait what?”

“House made of clouds, remember?”

“Oh yeah. Still though, mom has told me stories that involve Aunt Dashie crashing through bricks and rocks.”

“Anyways, punched the wall right off, then yanked at my covers so strong I couldn’t hold on at all!” Bolt theatrically finished his story.

“And?”

“And what? That’s it! I was so embarrassed I couldn’t even look her in the eye!”

“Uhh… mhhm. I guess it’s embarrassing to have your mom yank your covers to wake you up.” Selena tried reasoning. “Though I don’t think that that really counts as “Stuff happening”.”

“Yeah, but then she sent me to shower with warm water and then she stretched to fly me here and… and…”

At this point Selena had checked out of the conversation. Chromatic Bolt was a great friend and all, but whenever his confidence faltered, he tended to get very nervous over small things and act a little silly. But then she remembered his fidgeting on the seat in class.

“Wait… when you talk about your mom… and then you got to class and you couldn’t seat comfortably…”

“What? Oh yeah. I guess I couldn’t sit properly for a minute or so when I arrived.”

Selena opened her eyes as wide as she could, mouth hanging open too. “Was… was it because of… because of your mom?”

“I guess so!” Chromatic confirmed. “Why are you looking at me like that?”

Selena Pie’s mind was working a mile a minute.

“I’m not looking at you like anything.” She replied a few seconds after Chromatic asked. “I’m just… surprised you… well, surprised that you are so open about it.”

“What do you mean? There is nothing wrong with it, is there?”

“No… I don’t think so. Unless… Chromatic Bolt, is your mom touching you?” Selena asked with a very calm and understanding voice.

“Hmm…” Chromatic wasn’t too sure he understood the question, but the change in tone in Selena’s voice made him realize that this was serious talk now. “Not more than usual. She has touched me a bit more than usual this past week, but it’s because we hadn’t seen each other for a month. This morning… I think she just put her arm around my shoulders once, then I sat on her back to fly here. Oh and she kissed me goodbye.”

“Oh. Okie dokie! I’m glad to hear you two are getting along then!” Selena quickly responded. Maybe she was just imagining things. After all, mom wouldn’t be best of friends with someone that was touching her own child.

“Did I even kiss her good morning?” Chromatic kept going, trying to remember everything about the day. “I don’t think I did. She woke me up, then I covered up, we had a talk… Oh yeah! I did hug her while we were on my bed. I poked her in the belly too! She looked very embarrassed after that.

“You did WHAT!?”

*RING*

“The bell! Aww I didn’t make time to go buy something to eat! Selly, I’m going to dash to the shop, you just go back to class!”

* * *

“… and then, and then flipping Gilda’s kid came around with mom behind him!” Rainbow managed to say through the tears streaming down her face, her jaw pretty tired from laughing too much. “Talking how he’s the fastest thing alive, and that the Wonderbolts are so lucky he’s grazing them with his presence!”

“How is Gilda doing nowadays?”

“She’s doing well. I think she stepped down as captain of the Iron Talons, but she’s still involved somehow. Anyways, little Keporus tried out for our team rather than his mom’s, and Celestia as my witness, that kid has an absurd amount of potential, even though he took a pretty nasty fall by the end.”

“Oh my goodness, is he ok?”

“I think he hurt his wing something fierce, but I’m sure you imagine what his reaction was.”

“Well, he’s Gilda’s kid, so he probably dusted himself off and walked away proudly?”

“Nope, he yelled for his mommy and cried a storm. He’s still a young kid after all.”

“Oh Celestia.” Fluttershy said with a very worried expression on her face. “Was he ok in the end Rainbow?”

“Yes he was. Gilda knows a fair bit of first aid so she fixed him up real quick. Keporus got his little Wonderbolt diploma and salute from the captains, he looked real happy too!”

“So do you think Gilda going to let him join the Wonderbolts?”

“I talked to her and I think she wanted Keporus to be the future captain of the Talons, but she’s very proud of him and will support whatever his decision is.”

“Well that’s lovely. Gilda certainly changed a lot after she came back to apologize.” Fluttershy said, remembering the good old days.

The friends were sitting outside’s Fluttershy’s cottage, which looked basically the same as the first time Dash saw it, but it now had a tower that seemed to defy gravity towering from the top of the construction, an addition Discord put to house him when he first decided to move in.

“Anyways, I best be going Flutters, it’s getting a bit late.”

“Is it? Time does fly when you’re having fun, doesn’t it?”

“It sure does Fluttershy. Thanks for taking care of Tank for the month, too.” Rainbow said, petting the tortoise in the head.

“No problem Rainbow. You do know I love taking care of any and all critters by now, don’t you?”

“I had never noticed it. See you later Flutters.” Rainbow said taking off slowly, Tank under her arm.

“Goodbye Rainbow Dash. Have a safe flight. Send my love to little Bolt!” Fluttershy said waving her friend goodbye.

As Rainbow turned around to the sky she was reminded of everything that happened that morning. -Oh yeah. Chrom. I still gotta give him the talk. I guess I should do it as soon as he arrives. No point in postponing it any longer… What am I even going to tell him? Should I be direct? Ugh, maybe I just should…-

“RAINBOW DAAAAASH!!!!”

Rainbow froze in the air and turned around to see Fluttershy, flying as fast as her baby bump let her.

“Whoa! You ain’t supposed to be flying Fluttershy!” Rainbow yelled back at her, darting to grab her friend and carry her back to the ground. “Why were you chasing after me?!” She asked, as she descended back to Fluttershy’s cottage.

“I… I’m so… I’m sorry Rainbow” Fluttershy weakly apologized, color almost nonexistent on her face.

“Shut up!” Rainbow urged her, color now going away from her face in worry. “Tell me how to call Discord now!”

“Don’t… don’t worry Rainbow… I just need to… rest for a bit…” Fluttershy said, plopping herself on the chair she was using just a couple of minutes ago.

Rainbow was extremely conflicted. On one hand, this wouldn’t be the first time Fluttershy lied about her health condition to keep her friends from worrying, but on the other hand, Fluttershy was pregnant, and there was no way she would put the slightest bit of extra stress on the baby to arrive, and if that meant not flying, admitting illness or having to take care of only a small amount of animals so she could get enough rest, then she would. Rainbow quickly decided that Fluttershy was telling the truth, and that after some rest she would be A-OK.

“Do you need anything? Water or something.”

“A… another slice of cake would be great Rainbow…” Fluttershy replied, with a small smile in her face.

“You got it Shy.” She said as she dashed to raid the fridge. “Why were you chasing me by the way? You must have remembered something big. That was a really loud yell too.”

“I did call you twice, but you were absorbed in thought I think. You didn’t even flinch until I yelled.” Fluttershy said, fork in hand and cake in reach.

“Oh… sorry Flutters.” Rainbow apologized, feeling bad about not hearing her friend the first time she called. “You still haven’t told me why you were chasing me though.”

“Of course… umm. “Fluttershy started. ”I just thought you looked troubled Rainbow Dash. That’s all.” She concluded.

“Yeahhh no.” Rainbow replied. “It must have been something big to make you fly and yell like that Fluttershy.”

“No, I mean it.” Fluttershy repeated, this time with a more firm tone on her voice. “When you turned around to leave your expression was so troubled I just had to ask you if I could help you with anything.”

Oh. “Thanks a lot Fluttershy, but this is some mom trouble, I have to deal with it myself.”

“Don’t give me that Rainbow Dash, you know you can count on me for anything. Now what is the problem? Is everything going well with Soarin? Maybe little Bolt is doing poorly in school?”

“Well…” Rainbow hesitated. “I guess I can tell you Shy. Chromatic Bolt isn’t quite little Bolt anymore. He’s becoming a man. And you know what that means…”

Fluttershy cocked her head to the side and kept an impeccable smile, clear signs that she had no idea what Rainbow was talking about.

“It means I have to give him the talk Fluttershy.”

“What talk?”

“THE talk. THAT talk.”

“You haven’t talked to little Bolt about career choices yet? It’s never too early to start planning Rainbow! I knew you were less strict with your kid but you still have to…” At that moment Rainbow took a snap decision.

“I have to talk to Chromatic about sex Flutters.”

* * *

“Ok tell me everything that happened this morning, don’t spare details this time.” Selena told Chromatic Bolt as they exited the school grounds. They hadn’t been able to talk again after the episode of the first recess, as both had to catch up with homework they had left for the last hour and after that a long essay on why keeping anything that came from the Everfree was a horrible idea, included to but not limited to animals, plants, clouds and dirt.

“Can it wait a little? I have to go meet Amethyst now.” Chromatic replied. “The Fall of the Leaves is right around the corner! We can’t afford to skip a day’s training!”

Selena had had a whole morning to think about Chromatic’s words, and she was more or less convinced his friend was perfectly fine, so asking him about the morning wasn’t an urgent matter. She was, however, extremely curious as to what had happened. “Alright. I’ll ask you when you finish your running around then.”

“Great! Will you accompany me to Sweet Apple Acres then?”

“Surely durely!”

Chromatic Bolt had had a good school day so far, and he was at peace with the events that happened the morning. Her mom had told him that it was all ok, after all. But the chats with Selena Pie and his own first instinct told him that what had happened was hardly normal. The worry in Selly’s voice still resonated in his mind. There was probably nothing normal about what had happened, and his mom had just tried to calm him down. Thinking about his mom even now made him shake a little, his chest feeling like someone was pushing in.

“Are you ok Chromy? You’ve been awfully quiet and frowny this walk.”

“Just thinking about stuff.”

“Stuff eh?”

“Yeah…”

Selena stepped right in front of Chromatic Bolt.

“Are you sure you don’t want to talk about this? Maybe, if you don’t want to talk about it with me, you should talk to my mom?”

“Selly…”

“No, maybe you really should.” Selena started, with hints of tears forming on the corners of her eyes. “You look so troubled and I want to help you but you don’t want me to help you but I still want to see you doing better but I can’t help you and maybe my mom can help you or maybe…”

Chromatic took a step forward and hugged Selena.

“It’s ok Selena. I’m really ok.” Selena hugged Chromatic back. “Nothing bad has happened. I think I’m just a bit stressed is all.”

“Are you really sure Chromy?” Selena asked, not letting go of the hug, enjoying the contact.

“I really am. Maybe I should skip training today and just head home and have a nap. I went to sleep late yesterday after all. And the day prior. And the whole rest of the week.” Chromatic said, breaking the hug and mocking a small yawn, which then turned into a real yawn. Which in turn made Selena yawn.

“We have to go tell Amethyst that you’re taking it easy today then. I’m sure she will understand.” Selena replied, with a smile on her lips and a forearm in her eyes, wiping off the tears that had formed before and then ran a bit after the yawn.

“YOU’RE SKIPPING TRAINING!?”

“Sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry!” Chromatic apologized as he darted away from Amethyst Apple’s reach as fast as he could go.

“Well, I gotta go meet Angel. Gonna get paid!” Selena said as she ran alongside Chromatic. “See you later! Don’t let her catch you!”

* * *

“Oh… my…”

“Yep. You can see why I was not looking forward to it.”

“Can’t… can’t you wait for…”

“Nope, he gets back in a month. And there’s no reason for me to take longer than this afternoon, is there?”

“But… it’s not like you can’t wait, can’t you?”

“It would drive me crazy knowing that I can help him but I’m not doing anything.”

“Help… him?”

“Well, what would you call it?”

“I guess I’d call it helping him too. It just…”

“It just what?”

“It doesn’t sound right somehow. It sounds kinda… dirty.”

“Oh! Little Fluttershy! I would have never thought you’d think so lewdly!”

“Eeep!”

“Relax girl, I’m only joking! Besides, it’s obvious you have at least one lewd bone in your body, considering you’ve been preggers twice now!”

“Meep!!”

“And getting the business from Discord no less! I’ve honestly spent a night or two thinking how he looks down there…”

*Ooph!*

“Whoa! Calm down Flutters, I’m only joking!” Rainbow said to the red forehead buried within her stomach, something Dash thought was a poor attempt at a spear maneuver.

“You’re such a meanie Rainbow Dash!” Replied the voice of Fluttershy, considerably higher sounding than usual. “Besides, how dare you tell me I’m le… lewd after the time you and Soarin were just… doing it up in the clouds above Ponyville!”

Rainbow grabbed Fluttershy’s shoulders and pushed her off of her square meter. “You… you know!?”

“I think the whole town knows! You were making so much noise!”

Rainbow turned into a red so bright Fluttershy could feel the warmth of her face in hers.

*giggle*

“WHAT’S SO FUNNY! MY LIFE IS RUINED! IF WORD OF THIS GETS OUT…”

“Calm down Rainbow Dash. I was joking. I think I’m the only one that knows.”

“WHAT! WHAT.”

“I happened to be flying over there that day. I had to exercise as much as I could before I hit month eight. I thought I saw your hair, so I went close to say hi, but when I heard how… vocal you were, I went away quietly. I didn’t want to spoil the moment.”

Rainbow, still lit a bright red, let out a sigh of relief.

“Don’t… don’t scare me like that Fluttershy. Whoa…”

“I thought you enjoyed joking around with people, Dashie.” Fluttershy said, definitely amused.

Rainbow spent a couple of seconds silent, recovering her composure. She loved seeing this side of Fluttershy, so even if the joke was on her, she didn’t mind one bit.

“Well, I still have to go back home.” Rainbow said, getting back to the original topic of conversation “I was planning on giving Chromatic the talk today, and I wanted to get there and… I don’t know, plan whatever it is I’m going to tell him.”

“Why do you want to talk to him about that so badly anyways Rainbow? Did something happen while you were away at camp or something?”

“No, nothing happened there. It’s just that this morning… umm…”

“C’mon Rainbow, I think we’ve known each other long enough for you to hesitate at telling me anything, no?”

“Well… this morning when I went to wake him up I caught him naked. And he had an erection too.”

“Oh.”

“Yeah. And he was very ashamed when he realized I could see it, but I had enough time to tell him that it’s normal and nothing to be ashamed off.”

“Well, that’s good…”

“But it seemed like he had no idea what to do with it! When I told him to get rid of it he said that he wasn’t looking forward to a cold shower that morning.”

“Well, it’s not like they teach you how to do it at school, I guess.”

“So… I just want to teach the kid. He’s growing up, and I want to help him become the best person he can be. I want to help him in anything I can.” Rainbow said quietly, with her fists closed and looking down. This theme had gotten to her a bit harder than she originally thought.

“Well… Discord was the one that gave the talk to Angel, maybe I can call him so he can give you tips on how to do it?”

“I appreciate it Shy, but I’m sure I’m sure it’s different for beings that can shapeshift.”

“Well, that is true.”

Rainbow decided to let that slow ball pass. “It’s really getting lat. I appreciate that you went out of your way to find out what was up, but as you can see, this is something that I have to solve on my own, as a mother.”

“I’m just glad it’s nothing that can’t be solved with a little talk. Are you sure there is nothing I can do to help?”

“It’s ok Shy. You just go rest some more.” Rainbow said, concern for her health still in the front of her mind. “I’ll come back tomorrow so we can talk some more. Maybe invite one of the other girls if they aren’t busy?”

“Sure thing Rainbow. Be safe!”

“Goodbye Fluttershy.”

And Rainbow took off again into the bright sky.

* * *

Amethyst Apple gave chase to Chromatic until he arrived to his house. He hopped off the ground and got into his cloud made residence, effectively escaping the chase. This run was longer than the Falling of the Leaves route, and they both sprinted the whole way, so the day wasn’t completely lost, training wise. Amethyst must have realized that too, as she turned around with a smile on her face and stared walking back to the Acres, doing her best to mask how extremely tired she was.

Chromatic Bolt on the other hand was already spread on the floor of his home, eyes closed and his breathing hard and quick. The mad dash had taken quite the toll on him, but it helped him realize how much his physical condition had improved in the last month. He must have ran this impromptu race in a third of what it would have taken him before his intense training.

Chromatic had no real motivation to get himself up, and was way too tired to get to his room anyways, so he just rested on the comfortable and cool hard cloud floor, feeling his breathing get back to normal. Then he started reviewing the events of the day. And what a long day it had been.

The sun was already going down the horizon when Rainbow got home. Her son must have arrived a while back now, so that meant she didn’t get any time to plan what she would say. She could just wait until night, or maybe the next day though. Fluttershy was right, she didn’t have to talk to him immediately and the matter could wait a day or so. Better to make a good effort than a half assed one after all.

That sounded like a solid plan, Rainbow thought, as she opened the door.

To find her son spread eagle in the floor.

With another hard on.

This was becoming too common an occurrence.
