Soarin woke up with a smile on his face. The sun shined brightly through the bedroom window of his Cloudsdale home, warming his body. Usually he woke up groggy in the mornings, but after a great night’s sleep he felt exceptionally good, especially since he had off today. Getting out of bed, he made his way to the bathroom to brush his teeth. When he was done, the perky stallion trotted out the front door to go collect his mail at just the right time. The familiar site of the klutzy mailmare greeted him on the edge of his Cloudsdale property, smiling softly.
“Heya Soarin, how’s your morning?”
“It’s going good, Derpy. What are you doing here so early?”
“I have a letter for you, special request to deliver by 7:00 A.M.!” She announced cheerfully, digging her muzzle into the brown mailbag strapped to her side.
“Looks like it’s from Rainbow Dash.” She told him, as she hoofed over the letter. It was a turquoise blue envelope with a big red paper heart taped to the front, with Rainbow’s scrawly signature written beneath it.
“Somepony’s lucky.” Derpy chimed, taking note of the romantic nature of the envelope.
Soarin couldn’t believe his eyes; was this real? A love letter from the mare of his dreams? He eagerly tore open the envelope and retrieved the simple white letter from inside and began to read.
Hey Soarin. I’m not one to pander around with all the lovey-dubby crap, so let’s be straight. I really like you. And I was thinking maybe we could go for a flight together, get to know each other a little bit more. You seem like a pretty cool guy. Soarin was awestruck as he read back over the blunt message a second time. He briefly questioned if the letter was some sort of joke, but quickly pushed aside the thoughts. He would find out soon enough either way, so it didn’t pay to dwell on it.
Derpy seemed to take notice of his giddy expression.
“I take it she likes you?”

Soarin arrived at Dash’s cloud home five minutes early. Celestia be damned if he were to miss an opportunity like this because of being late. He was pleasantly surprised to find Rainbow Dash already waiting outside, leaning patiently against the outside wall of her home with a playful smirk.
Soarin landed directly in front of her, leaving just a few feet of space.
“Hey Dash...”
“Whoa there, you seem eager this morning. Mind giving me some space?” She quipped.
“My bad, sorry...” He apologized, stepping backwards a bit.
“Congrats on showing up thirty minutes early. You really want to fuck that bad, huh?” She deadpanned.
“What? I-I thought... the clock said...”
Her expression suddenly lightened.
“Haha!” She started to laugh out loud, in her usual high pitched squeal. “Sorry, I couldn’t resist, you’re so gullible. It’s five minutes to 8:00.”
“Oh, good. I was starting to think every clock in my house would need replacing...”
“Hey, thanks for showing up early. That’s the first sign I made the right choice inviting you over here.”
“You’re welcome.” He muttered, blushing and ears flattening against his head.
After a few short minutes of chatter, the two lovebirds took off from her property.
“Betcha can’t keep up!” She bragged.
“You may be fast, but I’m a Wonderbolt. Of course I can keep up!”
Despite her taunts, Rainbow Dash kept a surprisingly relaxed pace. Soarin didn’t have any problem keeping up with her, not to mention that flying behind her gave him a nice little view of her flanks. The cool wind whipped through his mane, and for a few minutes everything was perfect.
“Hold up, I want to stop and rest a moment.” Rainbow suddenly slowed down a bit, steering towards a nearby cloud.
“Okay, sure.”
Truth be told, he felt like she was acting a little odd today. She hadn’t even been flying that fast, and now she already wanted to rest? What happened to the fastest mare in Equestria with her immense endurance? He was tempted to ask, but felt it would be rude to question something so trivial. Maybe she was just a little tired today.
Slowly, she came to a stop on the decently sized cloud and turned to face him the minute he landed.

“You let me worry about that, Soarin. Right now, you just follow me and enjoy yourself when we get to the ground.”
They landed in a grassy clearing near a small pond, set in a secluded area of forest. Rainbow lumbered around with a lustful gait, smirking at him and flicking her tail as she circled him. She slowly approached him and put her hooves comfortingly on his shoulders, staring into his eyes.
“I’m ready when you are, Soarin...” Her lips curled, letting the words slip off in a low, sexy drawl.

Beneath the water, he heard a grunt of pain as his limbs were released from their bindings.
Chrysalis was knocked into the pond as Rainbow Dash barreled into her side, plowing her over with fierce momentum. The queen was quick to recover, taking only a minor bruise from the impact.
“Looks like I will have to kill you too!” The queen yelled.
Ignoring her, Dash barreled forward and smashed her in the face with both front hooves, blowing her backwards with a nasty impact that nearly shattered her jaw. She turned around and raced back over to Soarin, grabbing under his front legs and scooping his limp body out of the water. She carried him up in the air and back to the grass clearing nearby, setting him on the ground. The minute she set him down, Soarin reeled over, coughing up murky pond water and shaking badly.
“Are you okay?!” She nearly cried out, distressed by what she had just seen.

He was cut off by Chrysalis’s low, imposing voice as she approached them.

Rainbow Dash felt a rage boiling inside at the horrifying being. She simply looked from Chrysalis, to Soarin, and back to Chrysalis with a deadly glare in her eyes. The queen’s threats didn’t even intimidate her.
“You’re going to be lucky if your legs are still attached to your body by the time I’m done with you!” Rainbow screamed in rage, flaring her wings and blasting towards her with a speed that made Soarin’s jaw drop. Chrysalis’s eyes widened as the speeding bullet slammed into her, jabbing a hoof into her gut.
Soarin and Rainbow Dash sat safely in the living room of her home, resting on her spacious and comfy cloud couch. Soarin simply sat motionless, unable to erase the gory images from his mind. She seemed to sense what was troubling him, and broke the ice.
“Look, I’m sorry you had to see that. I didn’t think her legs would come off that easily!”
“Haha...” Soarin stifled a dry laugh. Rainbow put a hoof around his neck comfortingly.
“Hey, the important thing is, she’s not going to hurt you anymore. Or any pony else. Ever.”
She bumped her other hoof to his chest, and her eyes fluttered seductively.
“Not to mention that now we can spend some real quality time together...” She leaned in to nuzzle him softly, her voice taking on a sensual edge. Soarin perked up at that.
