As I approached to the dark hallway, the screeching made a more significant turn, in a twisted way. The steel trap had worked.
Just some minutes more, and they’ll be right by my side, I must be careful with the shadows...
Some painfully large minutes happened while I change the oil of my lamp, hearing some hoofsteps quickly coming my way.
Screw the oil!
As I dropped the oil onto the ground, I started running, while trying to clear my mind from they poison. It was making effect more quickly than Doc have thought it would. Dammit’. I may not be able to get to the main gate. At least not as quick as I have thought on first place.
My pacing slowly started decreasing, as I felt the poison running through my veins, I waited a while on a little crevice on the wall, and as I waited, I saw them passing by, just missing me because of my gray coat.
I check to see if I got another shot. Looks like I’ve got another one. As I inject it directly on my neck, following Doc’s orders, I feel a presence on the room. I turn around, just to see one of them… a mare, white coat, electric hair, purple sunglasses.
I slowly walk towards the door, without breaking my lane of view. Just as I get to the door, she comes towards me, and grabs me by my neck.
I try to do something, but her movements are too fast for my weak eyes. One movement and I end up on the other end of the room, without my hat, and breaking a table.
She comes towards me, and grabs me again. This time she left my right side of the neck clear. I feel the ground again, feeling like I broke one or two bones this time. I see her moving her head towards my right side of the neck…
I close my eyes, waiting for the worst, but just as I felt her breath on my neck, I remember that I’ve not loose my grasp on the lamp. Quickly moving to one side, I hit her with the lamp, breaking the lamp and setting her on fire with this movement. I get up as she tries to roll on the floor. I come closer to her and kick her stomach, grabbing her and throwing her body into another table, breaking that one too. It was too late for my neck though, blood running down it. I get my trenchcoat upper, and trot to the exit.
But before turning on the hallway, I felt a charging body coming towards me.
I turned, but it was too late, she got me on a grasp, falling down the window, from a three story house…
I assumed the worst yet again, as I see her skin and fur burning to the simple sight of sunlight. Unfortunately for me, she got enough time to get inside the obscure mansion again.
My entire life passed before my eyes, showing the best and the worst of everything. I remember my wife’s warm smile and her pleasant way to speak…
But before I could think of anything else, my fall was stopped by a car. Yet again, looks like the HCS doesn’t want me to die. With one or two broken ribs, I hear the analysis that the HCS gives me… yeah, just as I thought, two broken ribs. I walk down of the car, painfully and slowly, I start walking towards mine. I get inside it, trying to avoid the contact with the sit. I try to start the engine, taking a few tries, and finally having it ready for a go. But I remembered my neck, and as I searched on the little box for bandages, I look up to the mansion, yet again, I feel the shivers running down my spine.
Another failed mission.
With this pacing, I’ll have no money at the end of the month.
