Five years after the events of Night Fury's Lament, Umbra has settled well into her life in Equestria, tutoring Spike in the draconic arts and guarding Ponyville.

But one night, a strange instinct calls out to the dragons of Equestria, encouraging them to take flight to the west. Not wanting to ignore the call, Umbra and Spike join the flock in a voyage across the sea. Strange occurrences and even stranger characters surely abound along the epic migration.
