Long ago, the land of Equestria lived in peace, until a group of earth ponies called the Equalists, rose up and declared that unicorns and pegasi would be wiped out, leaving Equestria a non-bending nation, and Sozin's comet is coming in a month. Only the avatar, the one pony who could bend all 5 elements (fire, water, earth, air and magic) could stop them. The problem is that Twilight Sparkle does not know her destiny, until she is told by a certain pony, that she is in fact the one, but has a lot to learn before she can save Equestria.
