Just like her mother

Twilight had three choices one slam the door shut two tell the truth or three invite them In and make Shadow sleep in the basement for a few days. Aurora rushed down stairs and hugged Twilights leg her mother and father looked at it shocked 'well looks like option two is the winner" she says to her she picks Aurora up and kisses her cheek leading her parents sibling and sister in law in the living room.

"Mom Dad Shining Armor Cadence..,,this is my Daughter Aurora ." All there jaws dropped but shining being a overly protective brother burst in anger.

"Where's the FATHER is he in town is it that flash Sentry guy!" He yells Aurora buries her face In Twilights face scared Twilight comforts her.

"Shining your scaring her no her father is not Flash....Shadow can you come down here for a second." She calls He walks down and then spots her family staring him down.

"Everybody this is my husband and Aurora father Shadow Magic."

They all stare at him he sheepishly smiles Velvet walks up to him staring him down and looks looks at Aurora eyes.

"I can see the resemblance she has her father eye's and his hair style."Twilight puts Aurora down and she hides behind Shadows leg still scared Cadence notices it and kneels down before her.

"Aww what's wrong did the big meany scare you?" Cadence says she nodes and punches shining in the arm. "Shame on you scaring your own niece half to death." She turns back to Aurora and holds her arms out wanting to hold her Shadow motions her to go Aurora takes scared steps but makes it cadence hugs her and lifts her up and tickles her causing her to laugh.

"Awww she likes you Cadence." Shadow leads cadence to Auroras play room and then comes back he Twilight and her family sat at the dinner table.

It was silent for a few Twilights dad stared Shadow down so did Shining Twilight and Her mother felt uncomfortable with it when a fight could break out any minute. Twilights mom spoke first.

"So....Twilight how did you meet Shadow he's....unique?" She says trying to find the words Shadow stared both her father and brother down Twilight spoke up next.

"Well he was a close friend of Rarity's husband Skull the microphone they're actually in the same band together he moved here a few months after terik was banished and we talked and he kinda asked me out." She says Twilight's dad broke the ice.

" I don't like him at all Twilight I think you could of done better then a musician." He says Shadow then finally speaks.

"I love her for who she is I don't care if you like me Mr. Sparkle I will still love her." Shining stood up and outs his fist in the air.

"Talk to my father like that again and I'll...." he was cut off by Twilight sealing his mouth with a spell.

"Or you'll do what I am adult now I love him and you can't stop me for it he makes me happy he makes our daughter happy." Twilight father stands up to hit Twilight but Shadow stops it in a heart beat standing up and pushing him back down on the coach.

"Touch her like you were gonna and I will end you." He says plainly twilights dads  eyes widen as he knew the threat was indeed a promised.

"It's men like you who make me sick beating on there wife and children Twilight told me about it and I am not gonna let you hurt her again." He says he walks out of the room her dad got back on the coach speechless.

"I'm so sorry about him Dad he's overprotective when it comes to me and Aurora Flash tried the same thing and well he was put in the hospital." She says Shining was shocked 'He put flash in the hospital.

Cadence was playing with Aurora as the rest talked Aurora would get fussy here and there but Cadence

Knew the library inside and out she got what she needed in case of she needed to be feed or changed  Shadow walks in the play room and Aurora ran up to him he scoops her up and kisses her forehead and sat on the couch as Aurora snuggled into him Cadence sat beside him and watched.

"She has your beautiful blue eyes of must be tough to see her cry." She says he looks at her and speaks up."

"Yeah...my little princess get what she wants cause she knows her daddy will get it for her." He says holding Aurora closer to his chest as she falls asleep Cadence awes.

"You make a great father Shadow I know your dad maybe proud." She smiles Shadow looks down at the sound of that word.

"Yeah....if I knew him." He says it took her awhile to think and it hits her.

"Oh I dint know I'm sorry Shadow I dint mean to bring it up." He nods forgiving her as he sets Aurora in the play rooms crib and sits back down.

'No no its okay but I never knew my father he bailed when my sister was born when I was three" He says showing little emotion.

"For years I was raised by my mom and sometimes her boyfriends were like father figures growing up in Manehatten was hard enough." He adds looking out the window and then at Aurora who was fast asleep

"I pledged to myself that I was not gonna be my dad, when I was old enough I left home and moved here I met Twilight and instantly fell in love with her." He says sniffing Cadence walked up and hugs him.

"You have a very big heart one that anyone would kill for." She says whipping the tears away "One that Twilight is lucky to have" she adds hugging him tightly.
