He crossed the bridge over the babbling brook. He arrived. Here at Fluttershy's cottage. The stallion was anxious. He blew the hair of his short blue mane out of his face. He wiped a bit of sweat off of his dark blue coat. The excitement was getting to him. A slight hop came into his step. The air was crisp and clean, the forest was pure. He smelled the scents of the plants and animals. His eyes were gleaming. He was prepared. He brought everything he needed. He just needed to bait her. He grinned one crooked grin and looked around. Animals were everywhere. The trees surrounding the structure that was Fluttershy's cottage housed several bird's nests. Holes and burrows were almost everywhere there was soft ground. Food was laid out in a tray near the door, but the tray was empty. It was past noon. The animals would have already eaten and gone to take a relaxing nap. Perfect. He had taken extra care to make sure he hadn't been followed. He didn't want this to be interrupted by anything. He reached a hoof out to knock on the door. He hesitated for a moment. Maybe this wasn't such a good time. What if somepony had followed? He wasn't sure. His gut said "do it." and so he followed suit. Knock knock The pegasus could be heard from the other side of the door. There was a strirring, followed by faint hoofsteps. The noise drew closer and closer until it reached the door. She called out softly "Yes? Who is it?" He wasted no time "Fluttershy! I have an injured animal here! I need your help!" He had no animal. But he knew it wasn't easy for a stranger to draw this pegasus out of her home. "Shy" was in her name after all. The door was flung open, she was worried about the nonexistent creature more than a stranger at her door. She saw no animal and looked confused. He explained "I'm sorry for lying to you Fluttershy, but I knew this would be the only way to get your attention." He took a deep breath and continued "I've been seeing you here and there for a while, and I finally worked up some nerve. Here it goes... I really like you and...I was wondering...maybe we could... see each other more often?" "Oh...my...well..." she took a moment to look at him "Well...I suppose you can come inside." She waved in the stallion, and he obliged. He looked around the cottage. It was quaint. The forest provided a barrier from the noises of the town, so all was quiet. He smiled at the thought that his plan was coming to fruition. Now all he had to do was- He suddenly felt a sharp pain in his side. What was going on? It dug in further. He quickly turned to look at his injured side. He was shocked to see that the mare he had come to visit had plunged a knife into his side. His dark blue coat was wetted with his blood. He couldn't bear the pain, and collapsed onto the ground, still conscious. She stood over the pony. "You were the perfect victim." she spoke, with extreme malice in her voice. "Why?" "I needed to hurt something. I don't quite know why, but I got the urge to hurt something a couple of days ago. I had noticed how intently you watched me. I knew you would try some sort of advance soon, so I waited for a moment when I could have you alone." "Well -ngh- you got what you wanted" he raised his voice "now let me go!" "I don't think so. I'm going to cut off your limbs." "What? NGH!" Fluttershy raised the knife and brought it down on the stallion's front-right leg. It plunged into flesh, but lodged into his bone. With a frustrated sigh, she went into her kitchen for a short moment, then returned with a medical case. She opened it eagerly and pulled out a bone saw. With the hands of a surgeon, she carefully aimed the bone saw above his front-right leg near the knee. She began a steady back and forth motion, slowly cutting tendons and ligaments. She reached bone once more and her pace was slowed. She pushed harder on the saw, and finally, a satisfying snap resounded. The entire time she was doing these things, the stallion could not help but scream in pain. He felt tears slowly trickle down his face and off his chin. He screamed and cried as though it could save his life. Once his leg was removed, the screams grew louder and more agonized. Fluttershy held up the leg proudly. She grinned to the stallion, who in return, averted his gaze from his lost member. She lowered the leg to his head and struck him hard with it. He continued to cry pitifully. His blue eyes were now red and bloodshot. Fluttershy continued this process of removing his limbs and showing them to him until he was out of legs. The legs had accumulated into a pile. A bloody mess. The stallion was unconscious now, too shocked to scream now, and in to much pain to go on. Fluttershy gave another frustrated sigh, she wanted hi to suffer more, but now she might as well end it. She retrieved her knife from the leg pile and brought it near his face. She lowered some more, and finally cut his throat wide open. Fluttershy quickly looked out her window to make sure nopony was here. She saw none. She pulled the body slowly out the door and tossed it into the clear waters of her stream. The stream wasn't very deep, but the body still slowly floated away. She retrieved the severed limbs from inside and tossed them into the river as well. Soft splashes resounded from each one, followed by the staining of the waters, tinting them red. Fluttershy returned to the inside of her cottage. She retrieved a mop from a closet in her kitchen. She set to work removing the stains of blood, tears, and spittle from her floor. She thought to herself as she did so. What she had done was...satisfying...for now. She would need another. And another, until her hunger for others' pain subsided. That wouldn't be very soon.
