“We’ve been over this before, son. Your father and I think it’s for the best for you to go.” Twilight Velvet replied.
“He’s not my father! You two are just sending me off to boot camp so you can be rid of me!” Shining said. He frowned, and looked away from his mother and towards the ground.
Twilight Velvet used her forehoof to touch Shining’s head and steer his head back towards her. “He’s your new father. I know this must be difficult for you, but you need to accept that.” Twilight Velvet patted her bulging stomach with her hoof. “I don’t know if I’m carrying a little Twilight Sparkle or Nite Sparkle, but it’s almost time. Between your father and I, we simply won’t have enough time for both you and the baby. And we’re not sending you to a boot camp, we’re sending you to the Royal Military School.”
Shining frowned. “That’s boot camp…” He replied flatly.

Twilight Velvet opened the door and gestured her son to walk outside. A camouflaged green and dark green carriage waiting directly in front of their front door. She kissed her son on the forehead before he boarded the carriage. Night Light stood behind Twilight Velvet, and never said a word.

“Enter!” Replied Stone Flank.

“Yes?” Asked Stone Flank.
