Zehren lived alone in the Everfree Forest. He almost never left his home, only to collect from his garden.

One day, Zehren left to collect his garden, his lantern set on the ground to do so. A strong storm wind knocks it over, the fire inside spreading everywhere. Zehren runs, luckily finding the exit and jumping for it.

Poor stallions hits his head a rock.

Zehren wakes up with brain damage and needs a helper with him. After going through fillies and colts, the last one in line is forced to be his helper. Much his expense, for the filly is just fine with it.

Zehren doesn't care for her help, but she is relentless. She doesn't stop until he accepts.
