Slipshod Barcilleo is a young colt with a deeply chiseled chip on his shoulder. Having grown up in a bad home has made him bitter on the inside and cheerful on the outside. He channels his bitterness into long cognitive rants within, or into the dark humor he uses to keep distracted from how much he hates himself. But, this isn't his fate. He befriends a lazy colt with a dismal outlook on life and a mysterious mare who takes a sudden interest in him. And together, the two knuckleheads learn that they must grow out of their self-loathing and bitterness in order to achieve their ultimate goal - happiness.
