Chapter One: I’m not his girlfriend!
Fluttershy was worried. No one has seen Flash Sentry after the musical showcase. Fluttershy, being kind by nature, was trying to find the probably depressed boy to help him in ANYWAY possible.
The first place she was going to search was his house. She knew that if someone is depressed, he or she would possibly hide in his or her room and hardly ever come out.
Fluttershy’s plan was to find Flash’s house, knock on the door and ask his parents nicely to tell her where is he. Then she was going to meet Flash, and try her best to cheer him up. After all, he was their friend.
Fluttershy knocked on the big door of Flash’s house and took a deep breath. After a few seconds, she heard footsteps and the door opened; revealing a tall woman with orange skin and a hair of different shades of green. She scanned Fluttershy carefully with her dark blue eyes and then she smiled.
“Hello darling,” She said in a cheerful motherly tone. “Are you Flash’s friend?” She gestured for Fluttershy to come in.
“Yes…” Fluttershy said shyly as she walked in the big house, finding this a lot harder than she thought. “Is Flash here?”
“Sure,” Flash’s mother said with a grin. “I’ll call him.”
“Thank you,” Said Fluttershy, now a little more comfortable. Flash’s mom was sure kind and sweet! “I’m Fluttershy.”
“I’m Emerald Flare, Flash’s mother.” Emerald Flare put a hand on the girl’s shoulder. “Call me mommy.”
“Ummm… Okay… if you say so.” Fluttershy was confused. This was strange. “Nice too meet you, mommy.”
Before Emerald Flare, or mommy, could say something, a girl same as Flash’s age or maybe even older ran downstairs with a smirk on her face.
She was wearing a plain orange top, with a black short skirt. She had light blue skin and jet black straight hair with a strip of green in it that matched her playful light green eyes perfectly.
“Hey,” She said to Fluttershy, still wearing her smirk. “I know you! You’re the cute girl that Flash talks about all the time! Nice to meet you; I’m Diamond Danger but you can call me Dia.”
Fluttershy blushed. They had definitely got her wrong. She opened her mouth. “I’m not-…” she turned to see Emerald Flare but she was gone. Diamond grabbed her hand and pulled the poor girl to Flash’s room while giggling all the time.
“Flashy,” She yelled, knocking wildly at poor Flash’s room. “YOUR GIRLFRIEND IS HERE! WON’T YOU COME AND SEE HER?!”
Poor, poor, REALLY poor Fluttershy…
Fluttershy was praying to be melted into the ground and never be seen again. Why were they acting like that? Why did they think that she was his girlfriend?!
“Ugh,” Fluttershy and Diamond Danger heard Flash grumbling. “How many times did I tell you that I don’t have a girlfriend, airhead?! Now, shut up and lemme get some sleep!”
“I… I…” Fluttershy tried to say something to Diamond. “I’m…”
“You what?” Diamond Danger said kindly with a smile.
Taking a deep breath, Fluttershy exhaled. “I’m not his girlfriend!”
“What?! Pffffft!” Diamond started to laugh wildly. “Hahahahaha, sweet, innocent Fluttershy! Don’t you even try to say that! Haven’t you seen the way he looks at you! Don’t make me laugh!”
“But…” the corners of Fluttershy’s teal eyes were already stinging. What would Flash think of her? He’ll probably think that Fluttershy has told Flash’s family all this to really become his girlfriend! Fluttershy was pretty sure that Flash will hate him.
Diamond didn’t seem to hear Fluttershy’s ‘but’. She opened Flash’s door and pushed Fluttershy in.
“I’ll leave you two alone now,” Diamond Danger said to Fluttershy. “Bye!” and with that she closed the door.
With the sound of the door closing, Fluttershy snapped out of her fearful thoughts. She looked at Flash sadly, discovering he is already sleeping heavily. Fluttershy was going to wake him, but decided against it; Flash was looking like an angel in sleep. Besides, with a sister like that, this is his first good sleep after a long time and Fluttershy wasn’t going to ruin it.
Fluttershy sighed and took a view of Flash’s room. It was big; and to neat for a teenage boy in Flash’s age. There was Flash’s blue bed, His desk, his red guitar, an old acoustic guitar too, a family portrait, a few posters and a comfortable looking chair, waiting for Fluttershy to sit on it.
Fluttershy sat on Flash’s chair, hoping he wouldn’t mind. With another sigh, she put her right hand under her chin and resting her head on it. She looked at Flash. He was sleeping peacefully in his bed and his perfect blue hair was messy.
Fluttershy, to be honest with herself, always thought that Flash is really handsome. He was perfect in everything. She liked his eyes; she liked his voice, his hair, his skin, his guitar playing skin and… everything.
‘No, Fluttershy.’ She thought sternly as she mentally slapped herself. ‘You cannot love Flash. Twilight is a princess; and she deserves to have one of the best boys as her boyfriend. Flash loves Twilight too, silly girl. He will never love you.’ A tear escaped her sore eyes. Why was everything for Twilight?
Fluttershy took a breath in. She could not love Flash and she won’t for she knew that Flash will never be hers.
