                         Chapter 1

Chapter 1
The colt felt as if he emerged, fully conscious out of nothing. Not out of darkness, light, chaos, or holy. He was positive that he came from nothing, and know he layed down with his head resting on a rock.
He started to feel different things at once. The pain in his throat, and how his body felt very damp, and how he couldn’t see at all, because there was something covering his eyes: a cloth, tied around his head. He reached up to take if off when he heard a voice.
“Don’t take that off yet”
That voice. It was unfamiliar to him, yet it sounded excited about something.
“Who is that? Where am I!” asked the boy as he pushed himself up.
“You will not need to know of me boy,” the voice basically sung those words sounds very excited about something, “I am wondering about you. How do you feel? Do you remember anything?”
“Do I remember anything?” The question to the Colt was strange. This was due to the fact that he did not remember much at all. As he sat things came to his mind.  What am I sitting on? A stone floor. What is around my head? A cloth of some sort. As he kept thinking a small thought sprung into his mind. A gasp escaped his mouth.
“I don’t know who I am!” The colt cried. “My name wha-”
“Quiet now!” the voice said hushing the colt “Listen.”
The colt heard nothing at first. As he focused on hearing he realized the sound was coming from in front of them as outside a room. A series of clicks as if multiple legs walking across the stone floor. The sound grew louder as it came closer to the colt and voice. After a few minutes the sound passed.
“Damn spiders. Hope they don’t eat them” the voice said.
“Eat who?”asked the colt.
“Why the ponies coming to get you. They should be here soon. Lets see...Ahh yes! They are almost here. And look! She brought her friends. Those ponies never seem to go anywhere alone do they?” The voice sound giddy with excitement. “Now don’t worry, these ponies are not going to harm you. You can trust them.”
“Wait who are these ponies?” asked the colt. The voice didn’t answer. “Hello?” The colt lifted the cloth off his eyes. The room was dark, but after a few moments his eyes adjusted. The walls were chiseled bricks and the floor had chunks of rock on it. The source of the voice no where to be found. At the end of the room was a small doorway with no door. He stood up on all four legs and saw a box next to him. He went to pick the box up, but heard voices outside the doorway.
“Are we there yet? You said this wouldn’t take long and you know I hate being underground. There is no room to fly.”
“Rainbow hush. The note said the room up here on the left is where we need to go. Besides we would have been done by know if somepony didn’t take forever getting up!”
“Um Twilight? As much as I am more than happy to join you, do you think we can stop looking at every other artifact. My mane is getting dirty from searching in this place.”
“Awww Rarity where is your sense of adventure? You never know we might be walking to a SURPRISE PARTY!”
“I do agree with them Twi. I did not stock enough rations for us to stay here longer than needed.”
“Ugh..Fine. Here this room right here is where the note said to go.”
A light floating in the air entered the room where the colt stood. In walked six ponies. All of them of different colors.  two unicorns, two pegasi, and two earth ponies. One of the unicorns must be making that light..
Once the six ponies saw the colt everyone froze. He took the moment to look over the ponies. Starting on the left stood an orange pony with a blonde main tied in a ponytail. It wore a stetson hat. Next to her stood a white unicorn with a purple curly mane. Above floating was a cyan pony with a bright rainbow mane. Next to the white unicorn stood another. Her body was a soft lavender color. Her mane was a dark purple with a lighter purple stripe going through it. On the right stood a very bright pink pony. Her main was very puffy and she stood with a big grin on her face. Behind the pink one hid a yellow pony with a soft pink mane. The lavender one stepped forward.
“Well we sure did not expect to see anyone down here” She looked down at a parchment that floated in the air held by her magic. “And this is the exact place we are suppose to be.” She rolled the parchment up and stuffed it into a saddle bag she wore.
“Hey Twilight, his mane and eyes” the orange earth pony said.
“Yes AppleJack I see. Don’t be rude though.”
The colt tried to look up to see his mane “Wait! Whats wrong with them?”
“Nothing at all. They are quite striking and very nice looking.” The lavender pony smiled while saying this.
The cyan pegasus flew up into the colts face “Hmmm you don't look that interesting to me”
“RAINBOW! Your manners? This is why we are here so please be nice.” Twilight turned to face the colt ”Since you are the only thing here you must be anyways. Whats your name?”
The colt went to open his mouth to reply, but was cut off “Call him Vince. That is the name I gave him”
The six ponies look around for the source of the voice. “Ahh so you are the one who sent us. Tell me who are you? We are peaceful.”
“I have nothing to fear from you…ponies but only just something I will lose. The colt I named Vince is what you are here for. You are to keep him since he will be useful in the future.”
“And what is that exactly?” Twilight asked the voice.
“Oh don’t worry about that. The time will come I am sure of it Twilight.” Tthe source of the voice seemed to have moved to another area of the room.
“You seem to know me, but I have not yet been introduced to you.” Twilight looking at where the voice came from.
“You have no need of that information. Just know that one day when we meet you will know then who I am”, came a reply.
“I am afraid I do not understand. Are you the one who sent the note and map?”
“I can't say. I can say that there is a box next to Vince that has things for you to look over.”, the voice seemed to move again closer to Vince “Boy I bid you good luck. Till another time farewell my little ponies!” The voice seemed to fade word by word till only the last word was barely audible.
The lavender pony look to the colt “So your name is Vince?”
“Uhhh I guess.”
The cyan pony came back into his face. “What do you mean you guess? What kind of answer is that?”
“RAINBOW! Please stop. He is after all our new friend!"

                         Chapter 2

Chapter 2
Seven ponies walked down a long corridor. Some of the doorways have crumbled down and section of walls have fallen over exposing the insides of rooms. The only source of light was a magic orb made by Twilight. Twilight tuned to Vince and asked. “So Vince. Umm are you ok with that name? It seems really short to me.”
“It’s fine to me for now. It doesn't have any meaning to me, plus I honestly have no other name to call myself.”
Twilight only nodded. “So you have no memories at all?”
“Well I can’t really describe it. As I see things or hear them I know what they are. For instance when you guys walked in I knew what types of ponies you were. I also know that the orb is made by you. Since its color is the same as your fur.” replied the colt
“Wait what you mean the color of my fur? It’s just a normal light.” Twilight stopped and asked the colt.
“Well around it is this lavender aura. Like it is holding the light up.” Vince said starting to think something was wrong.
“This is FASCINATING! Nopony has ever heard of such a thing! It must be cause of your eyes.” Twilight suddenly was holding paper and a quill in her magic and begun to write things down.
“Wait you guys said earlier that something was wrong with my mane and eyes?” Vince looked at the others waiting for an answer.
“Well...you see your eyes. One is a dark blue while the other is golden. Your mane is silver which for a Unicorn is not common. Only Starswirl the bearded had a silver mane.”
“Wait I’m a Unicorn?” Vince reached a hoof up and felt his forehead. There it was.  how did I know I was a unicorn? Surely the voice could have told me. “Umm I had no idea to be honest.”
Twilight put a reassuring hoof on Vince’s shoulder “It is fine Vince. Once we get back to the ship and to safety we will open this box and try to figure things out. For now let us get out of here.”
Suddenly a rumble shook the corridor they all stood in. Chunks of rocks came down from the ceiling, one dropped down on Twilights light surrounding everypony in darkness. Everyone screamed running around trying not to get hit by rocks. Vince on the other hand could see very well. As if Twilight’s light never went out. He saw the yellow one curled up trying not to get trampled by her friends, when out of the corner of his eyes he saw a large rock coming down about to land on her. Reacting quickly he grabbed her tail with his mouth and quickly dragged her into an open room. When he did she let out a loud  “EEP!”
After the tremors stopped and everything calmed down, Twilight relit her light. “Are you girls alright? Vince what about you?”
Multiple groans and “I'm fine” replies sounded. Vince said “Me and the yellow one are in here.”
Twilight and the others followed his voice into the room they jumped into. “What happened are you two ok?”
“Yea I saw her about to be crushed by a rock and I saved her.”
“Wait. YOU CAN SEE IN THE DARK!?” Twilight took her paper and quill back out and begun to jot things down.
A small voice behind Vince said “Ummm thank you sir.”
“It wasn’t a problem. Wait I don’t think I know you name?” Vince asked
The yellow pony hid behind her and muttered something. Vince not hearing her asked “Sorry what was that?”
“My name is ….”
“One more time? Please?”
“My name is Fluttershy.”
Smiling that he learned another name of his new friends “Ok Miss Fluttershy. Next time try not to get crushed by rocks ok?”
“I will try Mr. Vince.”
Twilight just finishing writing down her notes “Oh sorry for not introducing everypony, but if that tremor is anything its a sign saying we need to leave, now.” Twilight began to leave the room.
Following her Vince asked “Where are we anyways?”
“Oh right you have no memories. We under the city called Poneii. A few hundred years ago a volcano near by erupted and covered everything in ash. We are currently under the city.”
The orange one that Twilight called AppleJack came up next to twilight “I think we should be getting out of here soon Twi. This place is unsafe.”
“Oh don’t be so afraid AJ. The volcano has been dormant for over 100 years.” Twilight walked slowly looking around the ruins as she did so.
“Wait a darn minute. You want to see that giant spider don’t you?” She exclaimed.
Twilight tried to hide a grin but failed, “I have no idea what you mean. Vince do you know of a spider here in the ruins?”
Vince nodded. “When I first woke up the voice said something about one yes.”
“So there is one here! I knew it! Maybe if we are lucky we will get back to the ship before it finds us, but who knows maybe fate wants to be mean and force us to see a new creature that nopony has ever seen before.” Twilight grinned thinking about a new species and getting awards for such a discovery.
After what seemed to be an hours worth of walking Vince saw a bright light at the end of the corridor. “Is that the way our twilight?”
Twilight nodded. “Yes it is. Our ship is waiting outside for us.”
Once Twilight finished her sentence a loud sound could be heard behind them. When they turned around they saw a very large spider.
Everyone froze except Applejack who yelled “RUN!”
Realizing what will happen if they don’t everypony ran for the door. Twilight muttered about want to study it.
While running Vince saw ahead what looked like white strings crisscrossing their way. Everypony except ran into them immediately becoming stuck. Yells of fear came from the six fillies. Vince turned to the spider as it was the reason his friends where stuck.
“Vince! Use your magic and free us. Rarity and I seem not to be able to use magic to free ourselves.”
“Umm I think this is a bad time to say, but I don’t know how to use magic.”
Twilight’s eyes grew with fear and muttered  “Buck…”
Rarity turned to her and said “How unlady like of you Twily!”
“I ah think Rarity that at a time like this it can be excused.” Applejack said hanging upside down.
“Awww come on guys! This is fun. I’m sure the Mr. Spidey Widey just wants to play some party games!” Pinkie said while giggling.
“Pinkie if it were not for my wings being stuck together I would fly over there and punch you.” The cyan pony hung with her wings stuck in the web unable to move at all.
Twilight shouted “GIRLS QUIET! Vince you need to distract the spider long enough for us to get out. Fluttershy tell me all you can about this web and how to get out.”
Vince turned to face the spider.  Well ok distract the large eight legged hungry thing. Sure can’t be too hard right? “Hey ugly! 5 bits says you can’t catch me before I escape!” Vince then ran down a side passage followed by a very hurt spider.
Using his special eyes, he was able to see no problem. He kept taking passages to keep the spider from gaining and hoping his new friends would escape soon. Vince turned his head around realizing the spider was no longer following him.  oh no. When did it stop following me? I need to find the girls!
Vince ran back to where the girls were stuck and saw something awful. The spider held Fluttershy right above his mouth about to drop her into his mouth. “Hey ugly! NO ONE HURTS MY FRIENDS!” Vince felt heat near the center of his forehead and focused on it. He focused on Fluttershy who was about to be eaten. Then he let it go.
Leaving his horn a blast of fire went straight for the spider. Once it hit the spider he let go of Fluttershy who floated down using her wings. In pain the spider ran off afraid of the pony who just shot him with fire.
Vince felt very tired after that. The world around him was starting to spin. As the world started to fade, he heard a voice far off. “Brother no!”

                         Chapter 3

Chapter 3
Two words repeated over and over. Two words said in the voice from a small filly. Those words will forever be part of Vince and no force on earth will ever make him forget them again.
Brother no! Brother no! Brother no!
Vince was in darkness with only that voice saying the words. He knew who it was. He also knew that no force on earth will stop him from finding her.
Brother no! Bro- Vince! Wake up Vince.
Vince heard another voice. This one was much louder and closer than the first. It too sounded familiar, but not from a memory, but from someone he knew. Vince followed the voice trusting it. Slowly he began to regain consciousness. Vine slowly opened his eyes to see six brightly colored ponies around him all with worried faces.
Twilight saw his eyes opening up and immediately hugged him, “Vince! Oh, I am so glad you are ok.” The others all joined in with her hugging their new friend and hero.
“Hey easy girls I think I am bruised up a little bit.” Everypony backed up off of him and let him get some breathing room. This allowed Vince to realize that he was no longer in the dark underground city and now in a wooden room. “Where am I?”
“We are on the ship that brought us here. We haven’t set sail yet though.”
Vince sat up and looked around to get a better view of everypony, “Ahh thats good. How long was I out?”
“Only for a few hours, but Vince can we ask you something?”
“What is it Twilight?”, Vince asked wondering what it could be?  I bet it has to do with the box.
“Well um….” Twilight blushed with shyness unable to come up with a question.
Rainbow looked around and had no time to wait around, “Vince who is she”
“Umm can you be more specific?” Vince asked.
“Well when you were out, you kept saying  No, I can’t leave her. over and over again. Did you remember something in your sleep?” Rainbow asked since everyone was still embarrassed to ask.
Vince knew what she was talking about now. “I didn’t remember anything much. Just while I was out I heard two words over and over again. Brother no I think it was a sister I have or had. I don’t know who exactly, but that voice, I won’t forget it ever again.”
Twilight put a hoof on Vince’s arm, “Don’t worry Vince. We will help you find her. For now though why don’t we go eat? I’m sure you are hungry.”
Vince and the girls walked to a large room in the center of the boat where a table full of food laid out. As he saw the food he knew what it was and what it tasted like.
Twilight looked and saw Vince with a face full of pain, “Vince you ok?”
“Yea, I think so. When I saw all that food it felt like a giant wave of information flooded into my brain and it kinda took a second to digest it all. Also when I look at the food I have an idea what it tastes like too, and if that is true then,” Vince picked up an apple “apples are going to be my favorite food.” Vince bit into the apple and sweetness flooded into his mouth. After finishing the bite he smiled, “Yup, that is proof enough for me. These things are wonderful!”
Applejack took note of this and said, “They should be! Grew them myself on my farm. With the help of my family of course.”
“Well I might just live on your farm if it means that I can be as close to these red gems as possible.” Vince said finishing his second apple. “Anyways, Twilight what about that box you found with me?”
“Ahh yes I have right here,” Using her magic Twilight sat the box on the table. The box was five feet long and 3 feet wide. It was about three feet high also. Twilight, using her magic, undid the latch that held the lid closed. “You ready Vince?”
Vince nodded, “Yes. Hopefully there will be something usefull in here.”
Twilight lifted the lid allowing dust to escape into the fresh air around them. Inside was an assortment of different items. Twilight lifted each item out while writing them down on a parchment. The first item to come out was an envelope and on it said For Celestia’s eyes only. Twilight sat that to the side and brought out a book. The cover said  Magic 101
Twilight let out a slight giggle “I guess whoever left this for you didn’t expect the element of magic to be here. This is a book for young Unicorns to learn basic magic. You can look over this in your spare time Vince, but I can teach you faster and better than that book will.”
Next came out three stones. One was red, One was blue, the last was green. Each stone was perfectly smooth and to Vince had a small amount of magic surrounding them. A saddle bag came out next with Vince Stitched into one side. The saddle was silver with two buttons to hold each side pouch closed. One was golden the other was dark blue.
A small bag came out last. Twilight dumped the contents out of it and gold coins came falling out. “Ahh well Vince seems you have some spending money with you. I will look at the rocks latter to see if they are worth anything. You can put everything in your saddlebag for now. I will keep the letter for Celestia till we get back to Canterlot.
Vince turned to Twilight,“Umm Twilight. I have no idea who Celestia is or what Canterlot is either.”
“Ooo Ooo ME! Pick me! I haven’t had much dialog yet in this story!” All heads turned to a pink pony who had her hoof raised.
“Umm Pinkie was it? What are you talking about?” Vince along with everypony else had a very confused look on their face.
“Nothing just the author being mean and playing favorites. Anywho *inhales deeply* Celestia is the ruler of Equestria the land we are going to sail back to soon. She also controls the sun. She and her sister Luna both live in Canterlot city the capital of the land. They send us off to do things for them like destroying evil or following mysterious letters like the one that let us find you!” Pinkie had a big grin on her face.
Everypony except Vince face-hoofed. Twilight spoke up “Yes thats the quick version thanks Pinkie. Did you get all that Vince?”
“Yea I think so. Anyways when are we going to set sail?”
*1 hour later*
Vince was laying flat on the floor of his room. Next to him laid a bucket full of puke. "Ugh. Out of all the things that I could have remembered couldn’t I have known I get seasick?”
Fluttershy the only one with any medical knowledge sat next to Vince rubbing his back, “It will be ok Vince. It is only a two hour sail till we get to land, and we have only been sailing for thirty.”
“Just end my pain now! Doesn't Twilight know a spell that can cure this?” Vince did his best not to think about the moving ship.
Twilight took this moment and entered the room, “No such magic exists Vince. Healing magic of any kind has been lost for centuries. Only thing we can do is have Fluttershy take care of you till we hit land.”
“Ugh when we get there I will personally request the banishment of all sailing ever from Celestia. Also Twili-,” Vince took the bucket to his face puking more of his apples he ate earlier.
Fluttershy continued to rub his back,”Hush Vince, when we get back to land you can ask more questions for now just try to keep food down ok?”
