It was a rainy, foggy evening in Ponyville. Good ponies were settling down for the night, and the lights were turned off. A breeze washed over the town, and bare branches shook against glass. The dim lights cast shadows all around, and the stray foal would start to jog home. In one secluded corner of Ponyville, far away from the town, was a quiet cottage. A lonely, dim light was on in the home, and movement could be detected. Two Pegasi were moving about, and they had finally located the laptop.

"Are you, um, sure about this?"

"Yeah."

Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy were preparing to play a PC game of pretty paralyzing proportions. As they sat down, Angel was heading upstairs, remembering the noises and moaning from last time. It still sent terrors to him at night, thinking them to be a ghost. Back downstairs, the two mares were testing their hooves at a new game. Fluttershy had found it a day ago, and decided to give it a try. "This is the new game, Dashie."

"What's it called?"

"Slender: The Arrival, um, a survival horror game. You have to find the items and escape... and watch out for Slendy."

Rainbow raised her eyebrows. "Who's Slendy? Is he a baddie?"

Fluttershy just nodded, and turned her attention to the screen. The title screen rolled, and Rainbow stared with intensity, a vein in her face standing out. Images flashed before her eyes, and she clicked the start button. An interesting bit of reading passed the screen, and the game started. "Okay, so there's a car. And a path, which I'm going to follow. So what am I supposed to be doing now."

"You need to follow the path to the house over there, I think."

She walked down the path, marveling at the graphics. They were really good for a Punity engine game. As she advanced down the path, it became dark, and she wondered if something bad was going to happen. She looked around in fear, not knowing what could pop out at her. As she neared the house, she heard a crunching sound nearby.

"OHMYGOSH!! What the hay was that?"

"It sounded like hoofsteps, so I don't think you should go there."

Rainbow Dash saw the house, and made a mad dash for it. Inside, she wandered around, finding a flashlight on the table. She flicked it on, and continued throughout the house. She saw papers, a note on the fridge, and a phone, all of which she inspected. After the phone's message, she decided to go upstairs. But when she got to the hall, she was terrified. Pictures of a tall, slender figure were badly drawn to the wall, and trees were surrounding it.

"'Shy? What is all this?"

"Tartarus if I know, I, um... just bought the game."

Rainbow Dash sighed, and climbed the stairs. Looking through dusty rooms and broken bags, she found a key. She went to the next room and, upon finding nothing, proceeded to the next room. It was locked, so she tried to use the key, but nothing happened. Upon reaching the final door, she heard a music change. Looking around, she found a scrap of paper on the desk, and picked it up. She heard a scream, and ran from the room, and out of the house. She decided that going to the backyard was a good idea, and ran there. She found the gate open, and fear gripped her. She stepped through hesitantly, and continued walking. After a while, she found a building by some generators. She stepped inside, and found a piece of paper. Upon picking it up, another stupid title screen appeared.

"Dang title screens," said Rainbow. "get the hay away from me!"

When they disappeared, she found herself looking at a darker screen than before. It had a purplish tinge, making her eyes rather strained. Walking out of the building, she noticed that there was a beach here, and it seemed to be a park of some sort. An octagonal building was over a few yards away, so she decided it should be visited. The dark trees made her wary, but she finally found a doorway. After searching a bit, she found a note.

"Yeah. Seven left then? Let's go."

She exited the building, unaware of the figure behind the wall. Upon reaching a sign, she discovered another note. The music added paranoia, and she thought of running out of there. But when she turned, Slender was right in front of her.

"OH MY CELESTIA RUN!"

She ran, trying to escape the slender figure, and ended up at another sign, again with a note on it. After a little more of running through winding branches and paths, she found a broken car, with another note. She had to have been the cleverest sausage of all time, she had breezed through this. But that changed, as he teleported right in front of her, making her panic and run into him. She barely missed him, and ran towards what looked like a burning boat. Another note was found, and she gained confidence, thinking she would be the bee's knees at this. This proved wrong, however, when Slendy appeared right in front of her face again. Squeaking, she ran off in an unknown direction, and soon found herself at a tower. Another note was there, but Slendy was preventing her progress. She tried to circle around, but he was always right there. Rainbow Dash was wondering why this was so hard, when everypony else said it was easy against Slendyface. Then she realized why it was so hard.

She had put the difficulty on hard. She was doomed. She tried to get to the tower, but he just kept appearing in front of her. Frustrated, Rainbow decided enough was enough. She readied herself for her ultimate test: defeating this octopus guy.

"Die you octo bag!"

With her cry she charged at him, but her screen twisted and morphed, and soon she was at his side. But she fell down, and the camera looked up. A terrifying blank face appeared on screen, and then it was black.

"'Shy, that was ballbags. What was I supposed to do there?"

"Well, you weren't supposed to, um... charge him."

Rainbow Dash laughed. "Then what should I have done? Ah, that game was cool. Hard mode just sucks carrots. Anyway, do you want to have some "fun" now, or do I have to get out the whip again?"

Fluttershy blushed, and they commenced the ritualistic kissing on the floor with chips by your head. However, they failed to see a dark figure outside the window, pale as the moonlight itself, watching them. Its featureless face stared endlessly, and it decided it was their time to come. He tried to get through the door, but whacked his head. He tried again, same result. Finally, he just charged the stupid door, and fell flat on his back. When he got up, it was decided that those two weren't worth the effort, and he disappeared into the night.
