Twilight yawned as she walked down the halls of her castle. Flash was behind her with SuperNova being dragged along. Super Nova had Flash's tail in his mouth.
"Twilight...do you want me to take him today?" He asked as he yawned.
Twilight shook her head as she put on her foal carrier. "No dear. There is playroom at the princess' castle. He can play with Whirlwind and Moonbeam while I go to the meeting."
Super Nova clapped his hooves together as he giggled, finally freeing his fathers tail.
Twilight smiled as she picked him up and placed him in the carrier. She handed him his favorite pacifier and he shoved it in his mouth. The pacifier was clear and on the inside it had fake fish floating on blue liquid.
Once outside Flash gave Twilight a quick peck on the lips and gave Nova one on his cheek.
"Behave for your mother. I don't want any bad reports solider," Flash said.
Nova just shook his head.
Flash patted him on head, "That's my boy." Then with that he spread his wings and took off.
Twilight smiled as she watched her husband fly away. She turned and looked at her son, "Ready to go?"
Nova giggled as he clapped his hooves together again. Twilight spread her wings and took off.
She landed softly in the royal garden. One of the guards nodded at Twilight as another yelled, "Princess Twilight Sparkle and Prince Super Nova have arrived."
Twilight started to climb the stairs and was met with Luna and Moonbeam. "Hello Twilight Sparkle. Whirlwind is already in the playroom and Celestia is waiting for both of us to meet her in the conference room." Luna began to walk with Moonbeam following her.
"So what is this meeting about?" Twilight asked.
Moonbeam smiled at Super Nova who smiled back.
"Celestia hasn't told me anything about it." Luna said.
"It's fine I guess, I just wanted to know why it's so urgent," Twilight sighed.
Super Nova then began to whine. Twilight turned around and noticed that he had dropped his pacifier.
She picked it up, "Let me wash it off and I will give it back to you okay?"
Super Nova wiped the tears from his face and shook his head.
Soon they were in the playroom. It was a bright and colorful room. There were seven ponies already taking care of little Whirlwind. He was floating around upside down and making it rain white milk.
"So young and already causing chaos." Luna smiled as she nudged Moonbeam on.
Moonbeam took off and pounced on her younger cousin. Whirlwind laughed as he made all of the toys in the room dance. Super Nova was fidgeting in the foal carrier. He was trying to pull himself out so he could go join the fun. Twilight noticed this and gently took him out of the foal carrier and set him on the floor.
Soon all three of them were running a muck in the playroom, toys were dancing, milk raining everywhere, and all three of them rolling on the floor laughing and giggling. Twilight and Luna just smiled.
"Oh I almost forgot."
Twilight made her way to the sink the was in the corner of the play room, right next to the changing station. She rinsed off Super Nova's pacifier and handed it back to him.
He happily took it into his mouth and sucked on it. Moonbeam grabbed the building blocks and brought them over. The three settled down as they started to build.
Twilight kissed Nova on top of his head, "Behave my little wizard." Nova shook his head and continued to build.
Luna and Twilight then left the room.
One pony was changing Whirlwind's diaper. Another was giving Moonbeam a bowl of animal crackers. Then another was making a bottle for Super Nova. He was laying down and sucking on his pacifier.
Once Whirlwind was in a fresh diaper he was laid down in the crib and given a bottle. Moonbeam finished her crackers and was getting her face wiped.
The pony with the bottle came over to where Super Nova was laying down on the carpet. He picked him up and laid him down in the crib. He went to give Super Nova the bottle but he didn't want it. The pony frowned, then reached down and took the pacifier from Nova's mouth.
The room begun to quiver. Super Nova screamed at the highest pitch possible for a little colt. He looked at the pony with a death glare. The pony back away slowly, his eyes wide. He dropped the pacifier.
Super Nova started to levitate. Moonbeam and Whirlwind watched in fear. Super Nova screamed and closed his eyes, as his horn started to glow. Moonbeam and Whirlwind started to levitate as well.
The other ponies watched in horror as Nova absorbed magic from both Moonbeam and Whirlwind. Nova opened his eyes and blinded the ponies as he smashed his two front hooves together and caused the entire room to shake. Finally he unleashed all of his energy into a huge energy blast that decimated the entire level of the castle.
Twilight, Luna and Celestia ran into the shattered remains of the playroom, which was now inside the kitchen. There they saw Whirlwind, Moonbeam and Super Nova all cuddling together and sleeping peacefully. Super Nova smiled in his sleep as he now had his favorite pacifier in his mouth.
The three alicorns looked around in amazed and a little confused. The pony that had taken the pacifier from Nova walked up to Twilight. Both his tail and his mane had been scorched off.
"Um next time we would like a warning about taking his pacifier away from him."
Twilight looked at the pony and then her son.
"Princess Twilight, what he meant to say is that your son is very powerful and almost killed us all. I honestly believe that blast served as warning."
Twilight's mouth hung agape, "You meant to tell me my son did this?" Twilight looked over at Nova who was peacefully sleeping with his cousins.
Apple Jack grunted as she bucked some more apples out of a tree. She had Redhot in the foal carrier. He was sucking on a gem. Sapphire was watching her mother work.
"Mommy can I help." She asked.
Apple Jack wiped the sweat off of her forehead, "I don't know sweetheart, I don't want you to get hurt."
Sapphire pouted, "But I won't get hurt momma, I promise."
Apple Jack sighed, "Alright, give it one good buck."
Redhot clapped his little claws together, "Saphy, Saphy." He chanted.
Apple Jack smiled as she stepped back. Sapphire stepped up to the tree. She took the position her mother takes when bucking. She pulled back her hind legs. She wobbled for a bit and then she bucked. She turned around and saw that not one apple had fell. Sapphire pouted.
"It's okay sugar cube, they don't always fall down." Apple Jack said as she patter Sapphire on the back.
"They fall down when you do it." Sapphire whined.
Apple Jack smiled, "That was still a great first buck for my little apple tart. While I bet if you keep practicing you will get it down in no time."
Sapphire smiled, "You think so momma?"
Apple Jack pulled her daughter in for a hug, "I know so."
The next day Apple Jack and Spike were out at the market and the kids were left with Apple Bloom. Apple Bloom was filling up Winona's bowl. Sapphire and Redhot were outside.
Redhot was relaxing in his baby swing and Sapphire was pushing him. Redhot was clapping his claws and laughing.
Sapphire sighed, "Little brother, do you think I will ever be strong enough to buck apples like mommy?"
Redhot just chanted, "Saphy, Saphy, Saphy!"
"Yes Red, my name is Saphy." Sapphire sighed.
Sapphire continued to push her brother for a little bit till she noticed her auntie Apple Bloom was setting up some buckets near some trees.
"She going to start bucking. AUNTIE APPLE BLOOM!" Sapphire yelled as she ran up to her auntie.
"Can I help you buck?" She asked.
Apple Bloom smiled down at her, "Not today dear, I don't need you parent to come home to you injured."
Sapphire frowned, "Oh okay."
She walked back to her brother who was just watching from his swing. She started to push him some more.
"Saphy, buck?" Red asked.
"No Red, Saphy doesn't get to buck." Sapphire pouted.
Red just yawned as she continued to push him in his swing.
"Apple Bloom, I need help!" Granny Smith yelled.
Apple Bloom looked at the kids, "You two behave yourselves. I will be right back." Then she ran off to the house.
Sapphire looked at the tree her auntie was about to buck. She looked at Red.
"You behave yourself Red, I'm gonna buck that tree and show them that I can be a strong Apple." Sapphire whispered.
She made her way to the tree. She took her position and pulled back her hind legs. She bucked with all of her strength. She looked up and one apple started falling her way.
"Look I did it I..." Sapphire was cut off by the apple hitting her square on the head.
She rubbed her head as her brother laughed at her.
"That's not funny." She yelled at Redhot who was laughing so hard that his flame started to grow.
Redhot continued to laugh until finally he stopped abruptly. Sapphire continued to rub her head as a small lump started to form. Redhot's cheek blew up until finally he gave off the loudest burp possible for a little dragon.
Sapphire laughed, "Jeez Red, you almost burped all of the apples off of the tree,"
Sapphire and Redhot both continued to laugh until Redhot started to hiccup. That made Sapphire laugh harder.
"That's what you get for laughing at me." She said as she wiped the tears from her face.
Sapphire stopped laughing and took a deep breath. Then she let out a hiccup. Red laughed at her some more.
"Saphy silly." He laughed as he hiccuped again. This time some smoke came out of his mouth.
Sapphire hiccuped and this time her blue flames came out.
"Uh oh...AUNTIE APPLE *Hic* BLOOM!" She yelled as she hiccuped again. This time she burned the bucket her auntie was going to use for the apples.
Apple Bloom ran back outside, "What is goin....AHH!" She yelled as she saw both little dragons hiccuping fire.
"What did you do?" She asked as she ran up to them.
"We were *hic* just *hic* laughing." Sapphire hiccuped burning the trunk of the tree.
Red hiccuped and burned the branch his swing was hanging from. Apple Bloom jumped and caught him just in time. Then he hiccuped and burned part of her mane.
"Apple Jack is going to kill me." She said as she looked at the tree which was now burnt to a crisp.
"Quick try holding your breath." She yelled.
Sapphire did as she was told but it was no use she hiccuped again this time striking a different tree. Red hiccuped and it hit the grass. Apple Bloom screamed as she ran and got a bucket of water. She threw it onto the patch of grass. She sighed in relief as she looked at the water.
"That's it!" She said as she ran and came back with one bottle and sippy cup filled with water.
"Here drink this." Apple Bloom said as she handed the two their water.
Sapphire and Red both finished their water. They looked at each other, no hiccups. Apple Bloom sighed in relief, that was until Red hiccuped again turning his bottle to ashes.
"Seriously!" Apple Bloom yelled as she tried to think of another remedy for the hiccups.
"We're Back!" Apple Jack yelled as her and Spike had saddle bags full of groceries.
"What smells like firewood?" Spike asked as he sniffed the air.
Apple Jack looked around the orchid and saw a red flame launch through the air.
"Oh no, "She said as she dropped that saddle bags and ran at full speed. Spike wasn't that far behind her.
Apple Jack and Spike froze when they froze. They saw Redhot laughing and hiccuping. Every time he would hiccup the flame got bigger. Apple Bloom was running around like a crazy chicken. Sapphire was laughing and hiccuping as well.
Spike chuckled as he watched Apple Jack run up and check Red's head for a fever and checked his body for cuts or bruises. She did the same to Sapphire.
"Spike, my babies; what do we do!?" Apple Jack yelled freaking out.
Spike caught Apple Bloom by the tail and calmed her down. He put a claw up the silence Apple Jack.
"AJ, just watch this." Spike said.
He roared and both Sapphire and Red stopped what they were doing. They both sat down and stared at Spike. They still had the hiccups. Spike reached out for Redhot. Redhot was still staring at his dad. Spike flipped him upside down and gently patted his back a few times.
Redhot's hiccups got faster and then he let out a little burp. Then the hiccups just stopped. Redhot cooed happily as Spike set him down and repeated the process with Sapphire.
"See no more hiccups." Spike said as he showed Apple Jack.
Sapphire hugged Spikes muzzle, "Thank you daddy."
"So wait that was it?" Apple Bloom said, "You just burp them upside down?"
Spike shook his head, "Yeah, Twilight taught me that the day Pinkie and Rainbow pulled that prank on me and gave me the hiccups."
Apple Jack sighed in relief as she grabbed Redhot and hugged him tight.
"Then why did you roar?" Apple Bloom asked.
"Well that gets the kids in order. When a dragon roars to his hatch-lings and it isn't a playful roar they know we mean business." Spike said as she placed Sapphire on his back. She smiled as she wrapped her arms around his neck and held on.
"But they aren't full dragon." Apple Bloom said.
"Yeah, but it is in their genes. There are three dangerous things a dragon does on accident. One, Snoring. Two, Sneezing. Three, Hiccups." Spike said as he surveyed the damage.
"Well at least they only got these few trees. What happened?" Spike asked.
"Well I bucked my first apple, but it hit me in the head and Red laughed at me and I laughed at him. Then we got the hiccups." Sapphire explained.
Apple Jack's face lit up, "What? My baby bucked her first apple. This calls for a celebration. Apple Cider Night!"
The kids cheered. Apple Bloom walked away to collect the saddle bags as Apple Jack and Spike took the kids to the house.
