.: Chapter 1 :.
The sun was shining like a golden disk, the skies were clear and a light blue color. It was an absolutely flawless day to schedule out her evening. But, then she had realized she has failed to recall that she had to go out and purchase a bottle of midnight-blue ink.
As this thought began to race within her mind, another thought occurred:
Her number one assistant wasn't present.
"Spike!" Twilight shouted, hoping Spike wasn't taking another ten hour bubble bath. "Spike, Spike!"
But, after screaming her lungs out, nothing appeared and the library remained silence. She received no response or complaint as the lavender-coated unicorn had anticipated.
Twilight rubbed her chin and began to think aloud, "Spike must be at Rarity's home." She spoke aloud as she had recalled Spike mentioning he would be stopping by Rarity's earlier to assist her in designer her latest line of clothing.
Twilight then became aware that she had better hurry up and buy the ink herself, or else she would never get any work done at all. She raced out of her home and headed in the direction of the Pen and Quill store. Thanks to her magic, Twilight was able to arrive at the door of the small shop. "Stop, don't leave yet!" Twilight called out to the employee that was barely beginning to close up the shop for the day.
"What is it this time Twilight." The stallion replied with a heavy sigh, but before he could receive a response from the mare, she had already teleported to the stalls behind him. He sighed again when he heard her running up and down the stalls frantically searching for a bottle of midnight ink.
'Where is it! Where is it! WHERE IS IT!' She thought to herself as she began to grow more panicked.
Twilight was certain she had checked the ink and quills section twice, maybe they were out. But, Twilight Sparkle didn't give up, she desperately needed this ink.
"Twilight!" The stallion called out, his voice shook with laughter and this made Twilight furious.
"WHAT!"
The stallion levitated a fresh bottle of midnight ink in front of Twilight. He had a smirk on his face. "Here, it's the last one. So use it wisely."
She quickly grabbed the ink from his levitational grasp. Sweat poured down her brow, because of how nervous and worried she had become. The brand-new bottle of ink now became covered in her sweat, making the ink become more moist.
"I am sorry. I just recalled that I had forgotten to acquire a fresh container of ink. And without it I won't be able to finish writing my list." Twilight had to inhale after each sentence.
"That'll be ten bits." The stallion said, cutting their dialogue short.
"Oh. Here." Twilight said as she levitated a small pouch full of the required money.
Twilight immediately ran out of the shop before the stallion could utter another word. As she ran outside in a bug hurry, she noticed Rainbow Dash and Applejack speaking to each other. Twilight was in too much of a hurry to chat with them, so she continued her running pace.
As Twilight approached her destination she could spot Rarity from outside the Carousel Boutique, she decided she might as well stop in and say hello. After all, Spike said he was planning on helping Rarity at the Boutique.
"Hi... Rarity..." Twilight entered the fashionistas home, her face slightly drenched in sweat from earlier.
"Oh hello Twilight." The busy mare greeted. "Twilight, would you be a dear and get me the dress that is on display over by the window." Rarity said as she was walking to the opposite side of the room.
"Oh course Rarity." Twilight replied with a sincere smile. "I'm sorry for asking, but is Spike here? I might be needing him tomorrow." Twilight said as she retrieved the designer's dress and handed it to her carefully, trying to keep the new dress out of danger, and harm's way.
"Spike?" Rarity asked with a puzzled look on her face. "No, darling, I haven;t seen my Spike-wikey all day. I do apologize." Rarity replied.
"Oh, it's fine Rarity. But thank you anyways." Twilight exited the Boutique and waved back to her busy designer friend.
"Goodbye Twilight." Rarity said with a heartfelt smile.
When Twilight returned at the library she felt as if she might collapse, but luckily she didn't. Her morning didn't go as planned, and now she had no clue where Spike was. She was just hoping he was someplace safe, and out of harm's way.
"Today was such a dreadful day... I hope Spike comes home soon." As Twilight walked into her bedroom, she was about to lay down and fall asleep, but then a flash appeared in the middle of her bedroom.
"Where's that bright light coming from...?" Twilight's figure than began to get sucked into the bright, mysterious light source. The mare struggled against the mysterious force that was pulling her into this light, she began coming closer and closer to this odd force.
As soon as she thought everything was over, and nopony would be able to see or hear her, a loud crashing sound could be heard just next door.
A cyan-colored mare ran into the room, her mane was battered and her coat was covered in dust and cuts. "Twilight!" Rainbow Dash shrieked as she flew towards her struggling friend.
"Help me!!!" Twilight screamed worriedly.
Behind Rainbow Dash Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Pinkie pie entered into the bedroom. They all began to panic as they were slowly beginning to get sucked into the unknown light. Twilight was the first to vanish into the illuminating light, causing the mares to all scream in terror as each one began to disappear one by one, as the six suddenly disappeared from Twilight's bedroom they all were separated in the process, and before they could speak or even comprehend the situation they vanished out of Equestria.
The library door opened and a baby dragon entered. "Twilight, are you here?" Spiked called out as he entered the library and walked into Twilight's bedroom. He spotted nothing. The library was quiet. He was too late.
