The story begins with a fiction writer of some renown. He's drawn into the world of Equestria from the realm of dreams. There he meets the princesses and finds out they want to train him to be a hero. He'll face hardships, challenges, and possibly find love the longer he is in Equestria but all he really wants is a place to settle down with his dog and his daughter. Sadly that may not be possible because a great darkness is looming, and our writer turned Hero will be in the midst of it all.
