Quartz Fire sat at the window and stared out as rain hit the glass. He sighed, not caring as a blue flame snaked out.

"Quartz?" a familiar voice called.

Without bothering to look at her he muttered, "What is it Amethyst? Nothing's wrong."

"I'm not stupid," she snorted, "I know when my little brother's upset. Now what's the problem?"

"Just thinking," he said looking up to the grey clouds.

Amethyst hummed while sitting by the larger dracony, "Hmm..."

"It's not fair!" he exclaimed, "I'm going to outlive everyone I know except for Eris!"

"Told you I knew you were upset. Now, there, there big guy. It's alright. I know we'll live longer. You'll have your marefriend still if you stay with Eris but think about me. I want to stay with Thunder but he'll die far before I do. But do I mope around dwelling on that? No! It's in the future. It doesn't matter yet. We'll be there for each other though and I know Eris will stay with you. She's immortal Q. Sometimes life gives you a hard time but you fight back. Be brave dude, just flaunt it! 'Look at me! I'm gonna live longer than everyone but that doesn't bother me! I'm gonna push through and be the best dang stallion I can be!' So quit being such a buzzkill. You haven't been being yourself lately. If you need to see Eris, go get that girl! She loves you so much you might not even have to go to Canterlot! She'll come here! And you know how much Mum loves that you're dating royalty heheheh. Just sit back and have a ruby and enjoy your life," she grinned.

Quartz finally looked at her, "I didn't know you could talk to much."

"Oh shut up you," the purple unicorn stuck out her forked tongue.

"Whatever you say Princess," he laughed, "...You're getting kinda close Amethyst..."

She swatted her tail at his face, "I'm your older sister. It's my job to make you uncomfortable."
