Twilight's years at Princess Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns
Chapter 1: School orientation

Twilight Velvet and Night Light parents of Twilight Sparkle,
Twilight will be starting school on 10th August, there will be an orientation on the 3rd of August from 8.30 am to 10.30 am in the school, although it is not compulsory to attend, I highly recommend that Twilight be acquainted with the school before her semester starts. If she has decided not to attend, you must go to the school on 4th/5th August to collect Twilight's school supplies, she would be given her school supplies at the orientation if she attends.
As I'm extremely busy, Twilight will be schooled as a normal student on weekdays and I shall personally teach her on weekends.

Twilight Sparkle's P.O.V
Oh no! Today is the 2nd! The orientation is tomorrow! I'm not prepared! What am I going to do?! Oh no oh no oh no!
Author P.O.V.
Sensing the panic coming from her filly, she immediately said that she had absolutely nothing to worry about, an orientation was just for her to know the school better. "No need to fret dear." After seeing that gentle smile on her parent's faces, Twilight felt much better, telling herself to try to make some new friends at the orientation and get acquainted to her new surroundings for the next few months.
Day of orientation
Twilight felt a hoof on her cheeks, disturbing her peaceful sleep, she tried hiding under her blankets but these hooves just won't give up. ".... or you'll be late." LATE?! Late for the orientation?! Twilight jumped out of her bed and raced to the kitchen, gobbled down her breakfast and nearly charged out of the door, only to realise that it was only 7.55 am
"Calm down little one! You have plenty of time to get to the castle, but we can go now if you want to."
After 20 minutes of walking they finally arrived at PCSGU's main foyer. When Twilight saw a group of unicorn fillies around her age, she gallops off to join them, leaving her father in the dust. The teacher at the front, who later introduced herself as Miss Daisy, told Night Light that he may leave and then told Twilight to take a seat on the floor while waiting for the rest of the foals.
Twilight sat down next to a dark green filly with a curly light purple mane.

"Hey, I'm Ivy Blossom, what's your name?"
"I'm Twilight Sparkle. So you must be great at Magic huh?"
"I'm alright, I only know simple levitation spells."
Confused, Twilight asked about her entrance exam, only to be shocked by the answer.
"Those examiners had me levitate a piece of paper for 10 seconds for my entrance exam, what did you have to do?"
"They had me hatch a dragon egg!"
They looked at each other with bewildered expressions on their faces.
"Hey what's new?" Asked a voice from behind them.
"Who are you?" They asked, seconds apart.
The light pink filly with a straight neat white mane said "oh I'm Peachy, Peachy Charm. You?"

"I'm Ivy Blossom and she's Twilight Sparkle."

Meanwhile with the teachers and the principal, Mrs Devin
The principal appeared from the side of the foyer and whispered to Miss Daisy, "has she arrived?"
"Yes, that purple filly with blue mane, Twilight Sparkle."
"Twilight Sparkle?"
Twilight looked away from her friends and trotted toward Mrs Devin.
Mrs Devin's voice turned into a low whisper, "I see that the Princess has sent you the letter?"
Twilight nodded with a semi-confused look.
"So I trust that you know you will only receive lessons from Princess Celestia on weekends only?"
"Yes. But I heard from my friend that their entrance exam is only a levitation spell, why did I have to hatch a dragon egg?"
"The Princess requested it, if you did not pass that test we would have given you the levitation spell for you entrance exam. Any more questions?"
"Oh, um no, thank you." After that, Twilight trotted off to join her new friends.
As Twilight neared her friends, they had a curious look on their faces, as Twilight was within hearing distance, they immediately bombarded her with questions.
"What did she tell you?"
"Why did she take you so far away?"
"What did she ask you?"
Twilight sighed at all the questions "Well... Mrs De-"
"Come on little fillies and colts, we have to begin our tour of the school." Miss Daisy shouted suddenly.
"Well you see, after I passed egg hatching exam, I sort of lost control of my magic and-"
"Woah, that's pretty cool!" Ivy and Peachy cried out.
"Yah, so I levitated all the examiners, turned my parents into cacti plants and turned the hatched dragon gigantic... that it tore a hole in the ceiling..." she ended with a rueful smile.
"Wow! Then what happened?!" Ivy was extremely thrilled, listening to this story.
"I guess Princess Celestia saw the dragon through the roof and came over, the second I felt her hoof touched me, all the pain disappeared and everything was returned to normal."
"Fillies and colts please listen CAREFULLY!" Twilight and her friends looked up "Please collect your uniform now, all have been sorted according to your name, so if your name starts with an A please head to the front, if your name starts with a Z, please proceed to the back. Go on now!" The students all went in different directions to find their names on the plastic covering their brand new uniforms. There were only 3 bags of school supplies at the T section, including Tango Popfizz and Tesha Lavendar. Then she saw her own name, she picked up her bag, which was seemingly larger and bulkier than the rest of the bags.
"After you get your bag, you can go to the cafeteria to have some breakfast if you want." Twilight looked around, trying to find Peachy and Ivy, they were sitting with another filly
"Hey can I join you guys?"Twilight asked.
"Of course Twilight, by the way, this is Waterfall Heart, she has her cutie mark too! OHOHOH continue the story Twilight!"

"Where was I?"
"When the Princess calmed you down, everything returned to normal." Waterfall looked confused and ask what was going on "don't worry I'll tell you everything later."
"Well... I calmed down and the Princess, luckily, didn't look angry, she told me I was talented and asked me to be her personal protege... Then I earned my cutie mark for magic."
"You're the Princess's personal protege?!" they all said at once.
"Uh-huh" Twilight nodded modestly.
"So why are you here then, shouldn't you be at the castle?" inquired Ivy
"Well the Princess is extremely busy, so I'll only study with her on weekends."
They sat there for the rest of the break, chatting about their lives and any other topic that pops up.
"Alright little ponies! Assemble here to continue the orientation, now we will get to know your teachers. Now come along."
They found out that Miss Daisy, was their form teacher and also their magical arts. Mrs Fern, their Math and Science teacher, Mr Lotus, their Equestrian Language teacher (a.k.a. their English teacher) ,their PE teacher was Mr Ruby and (using the cliche saying) last but not least, Miss Caydranth, their History teacher.

"See you guys on the 10th! Bye!" shouted Waterfall to her new group of friends.
"Bye" they all shouted together.
"I see you've made some new friends?" said a deep voice.
"Dad! And yes, I made some new friends, Ivy, Peachy and Waterfall. They're really nice."

"Mother! Guess who I became friends with!"
"I hope it is somepony worth your time. You are part of high society, I do not want you messing with riffraffs like those ponies over there," pointing to Twilight and her parents.
"Well actually, it is that fi-"
"I WILL NOT HAVE YOU MESSING WITH PONIES OF THE LOWER CLASS! I EXPECT YOU TO ABANDON YOUR FRIENDSHIPS WITH HER IMMEDIATELY!" her mother shrieked, loudly enough for Ivy to get intimidated, but softly enough for nopony else to hear her.
"Mother, it is not what you think, that filly is very special!"
"Unless she is of high society or have any connection to the Princess, she is nothing in my eyes." said her mother unenthusiastically.
"That filly is Princess Celestia's personal protege. Is that special enough?" Her mother's eye lit up and she grinned, "The Princess's PERSONAL PROTEGE eh? Well good job Ivy Blossom, this is the kind of fillies you should be friends with, maybe that way you can become Princess Celestia's student yourself, or become in someway connected to the Princess. Which reminds me, why aren't you Princess Celestia's personal student? I expected nothing less from you, you have disappointed me once again Ivy Blossom. We will have a talk about this later. Let's go home"
Ivy just groaned.

"Mom! Mom! I made friends with some fillies today! There was one filly that was really special, her name is Twilight Sparkle!"
"Oh? Have you my dear? I am just so proud of you for making it into this school, so who is this Twilight Sparkle?"
"She is Princess Celestia's personal pro-do-jey!"
"What's a 'prodojey'?"
"I think it means her personal student."
"You will definitely be the one to become of high society!"
As the Peach Farm on the outskirts of Canterlot came into view Peachy told herself that she would be the one that pulled her family out of the lowest rings of society in Canterlot.

"How was your day kiddo?"
"It was pretty good Dad, made a few friends and got my books"
"Tell me about your friends"
"There was... Ivy Blossom, Peachy Charm andddddd OHOHOH, this filly named Twilight Sparkle, she the Princess's personal student!"
"Wow, good friends you have huh?"
"Yeah, they are pretty great..."

Chapter 2: First Day of School
It was as if there was an alarm clock in Twilights head. The second it turned 7 am, she bolted out of her bed and rushed towards Shining Armor's room, which was just next door. She unlocked the door with her exceptionally powerful magic and shook her big brother until he woke up.
"Huh...wha? Oh hey Twiley what are you doing up so early? School doesn't start until 8 Twi."
"I know! But I'm just soooo excited! Can we go earlier today? Please!"
"Alright then, I'll get the chance to talk with Princess Cadence, she's really nice." With that said, Shining Armor rolled off his bed and trudged sleepily to the toilet. Seeing that he was in the toilet, Twilight raced to her own bathroom to get ready for school. She brushed her teeth, took a very quick shower and put on her brand new uniform, which was a light golden sleeveless shirt. Twilight then triple-checked her saddlebag, making sure she did not forget anything. She threw on her saddlebag and pranced out of her door and trotted down stairs.
When Twilight reached the bottom floor, she found Shining Armor already seating there, eating his breakfast.
By the time both of them were done, it was 7.20 am. They trotted out of the door and headed towards the school.

After 20 minutes of walking, they finally reached the main foyer. Shining Armor saw Princess Cadence and asked Twilight to follow him.
"Hey! Cadence! Wait up!" Shining shouted to Cadence as he galloped up to her, with Twilight struggling to catch up.
"Hello Shining, who is this little filly?" Pointing at Twilight.
"I'm Twilight! Shining Armor's brother. Aren't you Princess Celestia's niece?"
"Yes, I am. How did you know?" Cadence said with small smile.
" She's Princess Celestia's personal protégé Cadence."
"Wow! Not just anypony can become my Aunt's personal student! Your very good at Magic I presume?"
"I'm okay"
"How modest, I'm sure my aunt will love you. Bye for now!" With that, Shining Armor and Princess Cadence trotted off for class.
"Hey Twilight! Over here! Time to go to class!" yelled a familiar voice. Twilight turned around and saw Peachy, Ivy and Waterfall.
"Coming!" When Twilight got close to them, she ask how their past few days.
Ivy sighed and recalled her past few days

"Well? Explain yourself! Why aren't you the Princess's student?"
"But Twilight becam-"
"I don't want any excuses! Tell me why you aren't Princess Celestia's student?!"
"Mother, let me explain, Twilight Sparkle got to become Princess Celestia's student because she got a different test. Instead of the levitation spell, she had to hatch a dragon egg!"
Her mother had a shocked expression on her face. "Why didn't she give it to you?"
"She only gave it to Twilight and no one but the Princess knows."
"Fine Ivy Blossom, I'm glad you're friends with her, maybe I can persuade the Princess to teach you too, or maybe you can persuade the filly to bring you with her. Am I understood?"
"Yes, Mother..."

At dinner with some nobles
"Well, I have heard that you have a filly, Ivy Blossom? Which school is she attending?"
"Princess Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorn, best school for unicorns."
"Hmm, not bad, not bad at all, my filly is studying there as well, my little Eleanor Matilda Upperhooves."
"I am surprised that my Ivy Blossom has not became friends with your Eleanor... Did she attend the School Orientation?"
"No we didn't, I don't want her to attend such unsophisticated events like those."
Ivy's mother sighed and said, "Even though Ivy Blossom has disappointed many times, she did become friends with somepony special."
"Hmm, I hear the Princess has a niece, is it her?"
"No, it isn't bu-"
"Then she isn't special."
"She's Princess Celestia personal protégé, Twilight Spokle or Sparkle."
"Hmmm, good."

"Yeah my mother is quite demanding... She might want to meet you one day Twilight." she said while walking toward their classroom.
"I can tell, I don't think she'll like me, she sounds like she's from the upper class. Probably not my type..."
The clock tower chimed at exactly 8 am and all the fillies and colts that were in the canteen and courtyard galloped toward their classrooms. Twilight was put in Class 1A together with all her friends. As they turned into the classroom, they found a fillies with a lot of foals surrounding her table.
"Oh, who have we got here? Ivy Blossom, is it? I hear that your mother hosted a dinner at your house, my mother said the food tasted like that out of the dumpster, what kind of cooks do you have at home, hmm? Peachy Charm is it? how is life on a rotten Peach Farm? And Waterfall Heart, how does it feel to be motherless? And you? You must be a nopony for me to not know you as I am The Queen of everything, Eleanor Matilda Upperhooves and this filly here is The Great and Powerful Trixie!" A few snickered at the bullying. Twilight and her friends took a seat far away from Eleanor and Trixie.

At the canteen, during recess
"I can't believe her! Who does she think she is?!" Peachy shouted in frustration
"Can't you just... I don't know, complain to the Princess or something?" queried Ivy Blossom
"I don't know, should we tell Miss Daisy?" suggested Twilight.
"NO, if you tell her, she would probably bully as more."
"Hey look at these losers over here!" said the sudden voice of Eleanor.
"Who do you think you are?" said Twilight
"I'm Eleanor of course, idiot. Who do you think YOU ARE?"
"I'm the Princess's personal student, Eleanor." They was suddenly a shrill noise. Eleanor was laughing and so was her guards, along with Trixie.
"Ahaha, YOU? The Princess's personal student? Don't make me laugh, what a likely story. AHAHA."
Twilight groaned to herself.

Twilight was bored out of her mind, Mr Lotus was not the most interesting teacher in the world.
Knock Knock Knock
Mr Lotus sighed loudly, that was the 5th interruption today. He muttered, just loudly enough, "Enter." At the doorway stood a white mare, much taller than any stallion, she had a flowing rainbow mane and had a couple of regalia of her.
"P-Princess Cel-lestia... Wha.. What are you... d-doing here your highness? Class, the Princess." The entire class bowed to her.
"Well actually I'm here for my student Twilight Sparkle, I'll be taking her for an hour if you don't mind."
"Of course not. Twilight."
"Princess!"
"Hello Twilight." Twilight caught a short glimpse of the class. Everyone looked bewildered, The look on Eleanor and Trixie's was just priceless.
"So, um Princess, where are we going?"
"Oh we'll have a short 30 minute lesson since I have a couple rare free hours. And for the rest of the 30 minutes, we will have fun, how does that sound?"
"Great!" Twilight followed the Princess to a wide open courtyard at the castle.
"Hmm... Twilight, have you ever tried teleporting?"
"Well, I've teleported a book before but nothing more."
"Try it with this twig here. Teleport it next to that guard over ther." She said, pointing to the sone-faced unicorn guard.
"Here goes nothing!" Twilight concentrated all her magic on that twig and pictured the space next to that guard. She heard a pop and next thing she knew, there was the exact same twig right there, who her shocked that guard. Princess Celestia chuckled at the surprised guard, looking at the twig.
"Wonderful! Now since you have never tried teleporting yourself, I reccomend that you teleport a short distance only, from here to me." Princess Celestia said as she moved back, now she was a few metres away from Twilight. She concentrated all her magic on herself and imagined the space next to the Princess. She felt herself engulfed in magic and when she opened her eyes, Princess Celestia was right next to her.
"Hmm not bad at all Twilight, you are probably the most talented student I have ever had. Most could barely teleport a metre on their first lesson.
Twilight suddenly decided she could teleport to her classroom! "I'm going to teleport to my classroom!"
"You are very talented Twilight but your classroom is pretty far away, are you sure?" Twilight, once again concentrated on all the magic and imagined her classroom. There was pop. And she was gone.
"And that was how Equestria was made!" POP, Twilight opened her eyes and there she was in front of all her classmates. They all stared at her and she shouted, " YES. I did it! I teleported from the castle to the classroom. Suddenly there was another flash of light and there stood Princess Celestia.
"C-class." Stammered Miss Caydranth.
"It's quite alright little ponies, and Twilight that was very impressive, I didn't think it was possible to teleport so far when you are only a filly. Now let's get back to the castle." The Princess said with a smile. Twilight nodded in agreement and they both teleported back to the castle. "I think you've earned yourself a treat, what would you like?" Princess Celestia asked Twilight.
"Oh uh where's the menu?" questioned Twilight
"You can get whatever you want."
" Really?!" As they sat down on the chairs in the dining room, a waitress came and asked what they wanted. Twilight immediately said, "can I have a strawberry-banana smoothie with whipped cream and oats on top?"
"Of course Miss Sparkle, anything for you, your highness?"
"I'll have the 'Nymph of the Nile' tea please. Thank you." The waitress left and just one minute after they had placed their orders, the drinks came. "A strawberry-banana smoothie with whipped cream and oats on top for Miss Sparkle and a cup of 'Nymph of the Nile' tea for the Princess." Said the waitress.
"Thank you, Minty Breeze." The waitress bowed and left the dining room.
"Mmmmmm, this is good!"
"You wouldn't expect anything less for a princess, would you?" she asked jokingly.
"Of course not!" replied Twilight, in the same joking matter. As she sipped the last bit of her smoothie, Princess Celestia suggested that she went back to the class.
"Why don't we just teleport?"
"Teleporting that far more than once can really strain you. Let's just walk there, I'll accompany you."
"Alright, thanks for everything Princess."

Ivy's P.O.V.
"LIFT UP THE BOULDER, YOU RUNT!
"I'm trying my hardest, Mr Ruby!"
"WELL TRY HARDER! I DON'T CARE IF YOU CALL PRINCESS CELESTIA HERE! GET BACK TO WORK YOU LITTLE BRAT! Unfortunately, Princess Celestia witnessed everything.
"You asked for Princess Celestia?" said the Princess with a tinge of coldness and anger in her voice, which was rare for anypony to here, but if you ever do something that made the Princess speak in such a tone, you better pray to not get banished to the Everfree Forest or thrown in a dungeon.
"Princess? What are you doing here, your highness? Heheh..." Mr Ruby said with a nervous chuckle.
"You just asked for Princess Celestia, so she's here." said the Princess nonchalantly.
Mr Ruby running out of things to say, saw Twilight next to the Princess, and shouted, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? GET BACK TO WORK KID!"
"SHE IS WITH ME." Princess Celestia was angry... It has been so long since Mr Ruby was scared by anything, he was always seen as a 'Tough as nails' pony.
"Mr Ruby, follow me please."
"Princess, no disrespect, but I have a class to tea-"
"NOW!" After that, he followed meekly behind the Princess.
"Hey Twilight! What happened? We just heard a lot of shouting and a really loud NOW... And SHE WAS WITH ME or something...." asked Waterfall. Twilight explained what happened, and once again they were fascinated by the story.
"Woah, who knew anypony could break Mr Ruby." said Peachy. All of a sudden, the loudest noise record in the whole of Equestria was broken.
"ENOUGH!"
"The Princess is scary when she's angry. So scary..."

Mr Ruby P.O.V.
"I am trying to whip these wimps into shape!"
"But not like that"
"That's what you think..."
"You will not do that to those fillies and colts..."
"You will not tell me what to do, I am their teacher."
"And you will not tell ME what to do, I am your ruler."
"I will teach them the way I want, I have the right, no one will tell me what to do, those wimps need to be whipped into shape, they have to become real mares and stallions when they-"
"ENOUGH!
"I am sorry your highness..."
"I'll Mrs Devin decide what to do with you." She was too tired to deal with him. She asked Mr Ruby which class Mrs Devin was currently teaching, and not wanting to anger his princess anymore, told her that she was in 3A. Princess Celestia walked towards the direction of that classroom which was on level 3, followed by a scared Mr Ruby.

Mrs Devin's P.O.V.
Hearing a knock on her classroom door, Mrs Devin used her magic to open the door. Although she planned to go back to teaching the class, he immediately forgot that her class was there when she saw Princess Celestia in the doorway, wearing an extremely rare, angry face.
"Violet, I'm so sorry to interrupt your class but I need you to deal with a situation." said an annoyed Princess Celestia.
"Yes, Princess? Class, give me a moment."

Shining Armor P.O.V.
There was a knock on the classroom door and Mrs Devin seemed completely uninterested, wanting to continue teaching our class, but she opened the door anyways with her magic. And there stood Princess Celestia herself with an angry face... ANGRY FACE?! I hope she doesn't make the sun explode... I wonder what happened.
The second Mrs Devin stepped out of the classroom, I leaned over and whispered to Cadance, "Any idea why Princess Celestia looks so angry?"
"No, but whatever it is, it's probably not good. To be honest, I've never seen my aunt so angry before..."

Back to Mrs Devin
"Oh, of course Princess, I will cancel all PE lessons for the week. And Ruby will be sacked."
"I have to get back to the castle now, Violet. I trust that you will deal with him?"
"Of course your highness."

"I am sorry any of you had to hear that. I have to leave now Twilight Sparkle, goodbye for now." With that, the Princess spread her gigantic wings and took off towards the castle.
"Hey Twilight Sparkle, we were wondering whether you wanted to join our little gang, actually you have to. We are the most importing ponies here, so join us."
"What made you two change your mind?"
"Well you have relations with the Princess of course! That's why!"
"No thanks."
"WHAT?!"
"I said, No Thanks."
"Your lose, not ours. You'll regret that!"" Shouted Eleanor and Trixie, as they walked away with their noses in the air.

The rest of the day passed by relatively quickly. Miss Daisy reminded the class to bring all the clothes and items they will need for the semester as they will each be assigned to different dorms and will be told of their roommates the following day.
"Bye Ivy! See you tomorrow! Hope we get into the same room!"
"Yeah! That will be nice."
