Chapter 1: The beginning
In an old abandoned arena, two figures were training. One of the figures was a small drake named frostbite, the other was his father eternal shadows.
The young drake picked up a purl white shield with a blue lightening bolt symbol in the centre of it, frost flung the shield like a frisbee straight at shadows, just before it struck the shadow lord vanished making the shield smack against a far wall of the arena and clatter on the ground.
"Resourceful, interesting.....but you must make the speed of the attack faster and stronger" eternal shadows voice echoed throughout the old arena as a shadow warrior appeared a few paces away in front of frost, "Now let's see how you do against a shadow warrior".
The shadow warrior smiled evilly and opened its mouth blasting grey fire out of its mouth at frost, "To can play at that game, DRACONIAN BLAZE", Frost blasts a large stream of neon blue flame straight at the grey blasts, making a small crater between the two opponents.
Eventually frosts flame began to weaken before finally dissipating and a fire ball struck frost right in the chest flinging him across the arena into a wall. Shadows shook his head in disappointment and appeared beside frost, helping him up."You did your best my son, but you are not ready to enter the death brawl yet.....your training is done for the day, go to your realm and get some rest......I think there's someone there waiting to see you" shadows smirked seeing frosts face turn a bit red.
"Well I'll see you soon father" Frost said before teleporting out of the arena leaving shadows alone shaking his head and chuckling softly not noticing a pink pony named pinkie videoing the whole thing with a large grin.
-Realm of order-
Frost appeared at a set of large gates with guards of different species including pony, dragon, and griffon alike. Frost walked over to the gate entrance as a griffon guard walked over with a scanner, the griffon guard raised the scanner to frosts face to scan his eyes, after a moment the guard lowered the scanner and saluted. "Sir, welcome back sir" frost nods the the guard as the gates opened and frost strode in at a quick pace.
Frost looked around seeing creatures of all kind, as his gaze drifted along he saw a large familiar shape within the crowd but frost couldn't figure out who, that was until he smelt the smell of an old enemy that nearly brought the draconian race to extinction.
Frost began pushing passed people as the figure looked back, as soon as their eyes met frost new for sure that it was him..... The demon of destruction.
The demon also began pushing passed the crowed as they entered a market, after a while the demon began gaining distance until finally he was gone out of frosts sight and long gone.
Frost stood in the centre of the market with both hands clutched into fists, eventually he sighed and walked out of the market, head drooped staring at his feet as he shuffled along with his tail dragging behind him limp.
After a while frost eventually arrived at his house that had sentry guards everywhere. Frost walked by a few and stepped into the house shutting the door behind him with a sigh. "It's good to be home......" Frost looked around seeing a light on in the kitchen and slowly walked towards the room.
Frost stepped into the kitchen seeing no one inside. "Hmm I guess I left it on when I left" Frost said while walking to his fridge and taking out a bottle of water and a small gem, he left the kitchen munching on the gem as the lights flicker and went out leaving him in the dark as a figure about his size came up behind him and pushed him up against a wall.
After a few he felt soft lips press against his making frosts eyes widen in shock and a moment later the lights came back on revealing a pink dragoness holding him up against the wall.
The dragoness finally broke the kiss and smirking at frosts stunned state. "What took you so long" she asked hitting him in the shoulder. Remembering what happened at the market pulled frost out of the stunned state as he looked away from her and began pacing with a hand holding his white scaly chin in thought.
The dragoness stopped smiling seeing frost in his odd state. "Frosty is something wrong" she asked as frost glanced at her for a moment before looking back down without a word.
The pink dragonesses jaw dropped knowing something wasn't right she quickly walked to a guard that was in the house, "I need you to send word to the family of insanity immediately that they must come to the realm of order......something's not right with frostbite...."
"Aye aye ma'am" the guard saluted and teleported away to send the message.
"Now to see what's bothering frosty" she said to herself as she went around looking for frost, finding him in his garage sitting at a table with old books and scrolls all over the room. The dragoness nocked on the open door making Frost drop his pencil on the table and close a book he was reading.
"Hey Tierra....I was just......doing paperwork" Frost said with a fake smile making Tierra put her hands on her hips and huff in annoyance.
"Your lying, you haven't been acting normal since you got home" Tierra said walking around frosts tail wrapped around his and stood behind him. Tierra knelt down and whispered in his ear, "Please don't be difficult* her tail tightened around frosts and pulled on his tail making him yelp in surprise and turn his face red.
Frost cleared his throat, "F-fine I-I'll talk....." He said with a shaky voice with his face still red.
"See that wasn't hard now, was it?" Tierra said with a giggle as she moved a chair over beside frost who set an old book on the table.
Frost opened the old book that showed a picture of an enormous being devastating an area, "years ago before eternal shadows found me, I was part of the last draconian resistance, and during that time there was a demon warlord that called himself demon of destruction.....he was the cause of the draconian down fall.....one day we heard news that destruction was going to make a final attack on us with his demon warriors, the few of us that could still fight were sent out on a mission to somehow take out the demon of destruction or somehow capture him....."
Tierra stared at frost stunned into silence. Frost took a deep breath and continued, "I was just a rookie, I never been Ina battle before and I wasn't ready for what was going to happen".
-Flashback-
"Hey kid get up we're moving out" a tall drake with silver scales spoke holding his hand out to frost and helping him up.
"How far are we from the demon camp sir"
"We're nearly there, just over the ridge" the silver drake said as he and the rest of the draconian soldiers continued on through a forest they had been traveling through for the last few days.
After an hour of walking through the forest they finally reached the ridge seeing a large garrison of demon warriors and leading them was their target, the demon of destruction.
Frost looked back seeing that the demons out numbered them. "Sir they outnumber us a hundred to one" one soldier commented as he stared at the demons.
The silver drake looked around at the draconian soldiers as they stood around him with worried expressions making him clench his fists and jump up onto a rock so all they could all see him as he spoke. "We may be few in numbers but we make that up for the fighting spirit in our hearts that burns brighter then any other and that's because we're draconians!!! If we die today at least we died fighting for freedom!!!." He looks around as some drakes start nodding.
"They think that we will just die out like a flame without air, well let's show them that our flame will never burn out, it's either us or them, now let's get out there and fight like True dragons born out of hells ashes!!!!" The silver drake yelled as drakes started roaring in approval.
Frost stared in aww seeing the fighting spirit in these few drakes that he thought was gone along time ago. The silver drake walked over to frost and put a hand in his shoulder, "Your brother was better at speeches then I was, it's hard to believe that he's gone.....but his memory will live on with you" frost looks up at the drake curiously.
"What do you mean sir, I thought this was a one way trip?" Frost asked
"For us it may be.....but not for you" the silver drake nodded to someone as a drake nocked frost out from behind, the last words he heard was roaring as the drakes started their attack on the demons.
-Flashback-
Frost looked at Tierra who was looking down in thought. "What happened to the drakes" she asked looking at Frost.
"Some survived, the demons retreated and destruction supposedly was killed, but now it seems that he has returned to finish what he started all those years ago." Frost sighed and looked down, "when I woke up I was in an old city where eternal shadows found me, I'm still trying to figure out how I got there....."
Tierra stands up and stretches, "Well I'm going to bed, if you want we can talk about this in the morning.......also I asked for your family to come over"
Frost looks up at her and nods slowly, "....I'm going to be up for a while.....I got some things I need to take care of, I'll be back later" Frost stands and walks towards a narrow object with a tarp over it, he pulls the tarp off revealing a motor bike.
Tierra watches as Frost gets on the bike and takes off out of the garage and down a street until she couldn't see him. Tierra sighs and looks around noticing on the far wall of the garage a calendar a few years old, Tierra tilts her head and takes down the calendar revealing the part of the wall full of notes and six pictures of six different creatures, each having a string connecting to each other and in the middle of the six pictures is a large photo of the demon of destruction.
Tierra steps back shaking her head. "Oh frost....."
-Frostbite-
Frost was driving through the streets, zipping by cars and tourists until. He came to a scratching halt in front of an old bar that usually occupied mercenaries, thugs, and criminals. Frost got off the bike putting on a hoodie and pulling the hood over his head as he walked into the bar.
Frost looked around from under his hood keeping his face hidden he saw mostly griffons, a few dragons, a couple ponies. Frost looked over to a booth at the far end of the bar away from everyone else, he looked closely seeing two figures both wearing dark cloaks with their hoods up hiding their faces.
Frost casually walked to a bartender ordering three drinks and pointing towards the far table, the bartender nods and disappears around the corner, Frost walked towards the table and stood by it looking at a picture on the wall with his hands in his pockets.
"This is a dangerous place to be for one such as your self Nova......"The figure closest to Frost whispered as motioned to the empty spot on the booth in front of him.
Frost nods slowly and slides into the seat keeping his head down and hands clasped together on the table. "That is why it's the best place to have a conversation in private......Stardust Speedster......but this is also a bad place to be for a vampony and a human..." Frost turns His head to the figure beside Speedster, "Right Marshall" Frost said in a hushed tone as a pony waitress walked over with the drinks smiling at the three.
Speed gave the waitress a tip as she left, after awhile Marshall laughed lightly. "At least it wouldn't be as bad for me if they new who you really were Nova, but this must be really important if you called for both of us."
Frost looked down as his hands wrapped into fists. "He's back......Destruction has returned."
"Are you sure....if he is back its only a matter of time before-" Speedster was cut off by Frost.
"Before he finds me to finish what he started with my parents and brothers.... That is why I called for you two, the only two that can hunt him down."
"We got company" Marshall said as he held a dagger under the table in his hands ready to fight if necessary.
Frost picked up his drink and looking back at the bars entrance as he took a sip, from his position he could see a large group of mercenaries looking around the bar for someone.
Frost glances back at Speedster. "Friends of yours?."
Speedster nodded slowly as his armor under his cloak began powering up making Frost and Marshall nod to each other, in one swift motion the three moved out of the booth and pulled off their cloaks, Speedster wearing an armor that looked like it was built like a tank for the lunar guards and on his shoulder was a large machine gun. Marshall was wearing armor made out of crystal and all his weapons were crystallized.
The mercenaries looked at the three and pulled out long swords and rifles, pointing the weapons at them. Frost stood behind Marshall and Speedster with his hood still up hiding his face.
A large mercenary stepped in front of the others, "Commander Stardust Speedster you have quite the bounty on your head, funny thing is, it's just for your head and more if your brought alive." The mercenary grinned evilly and raised his hand up. "Take em out boys!!!" The mercenary spoke as the other mercenaries charge forward tossing tables and chairs to the side closing the distance between them.
Speedster began shooting the mercenaries down with his shoulder mounted machine gun mowing down the first few down before the mercenaries returned fire making the three take cover behind turned over tables.
A while later the firing stopped as the mercenaries with swords swarmed in to attack. Marshall, Frost and Speedster quickly got up, Marshall was holding a dagger in each hand while Speedsters shoulder mounted machine gun turned into a spear attachment as he stabbed a mercenary in the chest.
Frost held up his arms in defence as a punch came at him from out of nowhere, he looked up seeing the larger mercenary from before holding a baseball bat in one hand and a pistol in the other. "I know who you are, why don't you take that hood off so you can show everyone who you really are Nova.....or should I say Frostbite, son of Eternal Shadows and the weakling in the family. That's all you are right....a weakling, no matter how much you train, you will always be under the shadows of the greats, and soon you will be nothing but a distant thought, your a nobody, and that's all you'll ever be."
Frost's shoulders sagged for a moment as he thought for a moment not noticing the bat being swung right for his face, and connected with the side of his face, flinging him onto the ground spitting out blood.
The leader of the mercenaries aimed his pistol at Frost's head and looked at Marshall and Speedster. "Surrender or he dies" the large mercenary barked as the few mercenaries that remained circled around the two aiming their weapons at them.
Speedster growled before sighing and shutting down the armor making Marshall drop his daggers to the ground in submission.
A mercenary shorter then the others walked over looking down at Frost and shaking its head that was fully hidden under a helmet with a full visor, the short mercenary looked up at the leader and handed him a letter. The larger mercenary read it and narrowed his eyes on the shorter mercenary before nodding and leaving with the few mercenaries that was left.
After the last mercenary left the short mercenary took off its helmet revealing Tierra who had a ticked off look as she glared at Frost and untied the three of them before slapping all three of them across their faces leaving a red hand print.
"You are such an idiot coming here, and without a plan of escape. I swear that one of these days....."Tierra stops seeing Frost barely paying attention. "Well time to try a different approach..." Tierra whispered to herself as she walked over and spun Frost around so they were face to face.
Speedster nudged Marshall with a grin. "Does your girlfriend do that"
"No, does yours"
" pff I wish"
Speedster and Marshall share a chuckle as they watched Tierra act seductive to Frost who was slack jawed and with a face fully red.
"So how about you tell me what you were doing here" Tierra said giving Frost a wink.
"Not until you tell me how you found us here." Frost said frowning
"I stuck a tracker on your tail back at the house" She said with a smile.
Frost grabs his tail finding a small tracker on it. Frost crossed his arms glaring at Tierra, making the pink dragoness giggle innocently.
"We'll talk about this later, but right now there is thing that must be done." Frost turns towards Marshall and Speedster. "Now let's get started" Frost spoke with a pure emotionless tone.
