Journal Entry: Entry Number Two

Well damn, mister journal.  You certainly are gunna have an interesting story tonight.  I'd love to skip the mushy part of the day and get to the near-encounter with death, but that defeats the purpose of you, I guess.  I'll start with Summer Wind.  She's works a checkout line at a grocery store in Conestoga, and she's always been kind to me, tried to make conversation.  She's a few years younger than me, and I always contributed her kindness to pity for my sorry ass.  But today...she really was concerned about me.  I don't really know how to describe it, but it was nice to know there's somepony out there who doesn't want to strangle me.  ANYWAYS, to the good stuff!  I decided to skip the freeway and take the scenic route to Trottingham, and it was probably the smartest thing, and dumbest thing, I have ever done.  Ya see, mister journal, the countryside down here is covered in farms, more specifically, grain farms.  Along time ago they moved the processing centers to the cities, to help keep the dirt and fumes away from the food, but they left behind the buildings.  Me and Delly came across this massive processing plant, and me, being the idiot I am, decided I should go explore it.  But wait, there's more!  I, for some reason I have yet to explain, I decided to go up, walk across a rickety old grain escalator across a huge gap between two of the buildings, to get a nice view.  Aparently, I was too fat for it, because the entire thing ended up collapsing!  I still can't beleive I made it across.  Thank Celestia I did,  too.  The sky looks beautiful tonight, Luna sure does take pride in her work.  Usually in the city you can't see the stars because of the lights, but this...this is just magnificent.  Well, mister journal, I think I'll be turning in for the night.  I arrive in Trottingham tomorrow, and I want to at least have a decent amount of sleep.

G'night.
