Twilight Sparkle watches Lucky Star
It was a beautiful day in Ponyville. It was a dark and stormy night It was a beautiful stormy day in Ponyville. The rain reflected off the crystal castle on the edge of town, blissfully drenching any passing ponies. Ponies milled around the damp dirt roads, idly chatting and going about their daily business. One lavender unicorn alicorn in particular was pacing anxiously by her door, waiting impatiently for a very "important" package.
"Delivery for Princess Twilight Sparkle!" Derpy called, ringing the doorbell to the crystal castle. "One DVD of-"
"Thank you, Derpy!" Twilight said, quickly taking the package upon opening the door.
"Sign here," Derpy said cheerfully, holding out a clipboard and pen, which Twilight took to sign her name. "Thank you very much for using Muffin mail services! Have a nice day!"
"Thank you, Derpy," Twilight giggled. "I can't wait to watch this!" After Derpy left, Twilight closed the castle door and trotted into the other room to put the DVD into the player. The menu screen came up on the crystal television the Tree of Harmony was kind enough to provide, and picked up the crystal remote with her magic, clicking the buttons until episode 1 began playing.
"Hey, Twilight! Can I watch?" Spike asked, suddenly walking into the room, causing Twilight to suddenly pause the high-pitched voices singing.
"Um, sure, Spike," Twilight answered, though a bit unsurely. She pressed the play button, causing the theme song to continue. "Honestly, how does she manage to be so athletic with all that hair...?" Twilight muttered in response to Konata, whose blue hair reached her ankles, managed to break a track record. "And why do they find it necessary to have a seven-minute conversation about food?!" As Konata, Miyuki, and Tsukasa seriously did talk about food.
"Twilight, could you be quiet?" Spike asked. "I can't hear the dialogue..."
Twilight didn't seem to hear him, however. "Honestly, she's so lazy but so swift; why isn't anime more like real life?"
"Because it's anime-"
"And these characters are so one-dimensional; just anime character stereotypes!"
"Twi-"
"And their voices are kind of annoying, Konata and Kagami's are so nasally! And Miyuki and Tsukasa sound like they're whispering!"
"But Twilight-"
"And honestly, this episode has no plot at all! It's just-!"
"Twilight!" Spike finally interrupted.
"Er, yes, Spike?" Twilight asked sheepishly, her cheeks turning slightly red.
"If you're going to criticize it like that, then just don't watch it," Spike chided, turning back to the screen to continue watching.
"Sorry about that, got a little carried away..." Twilight muttered. "Let's... just watch it."
"Thank you," Spike said, focusing back on the girly shojo characters.
And what's with this little bit at the end? Anime makes no sense at all!
Spike, oblivious to Twilight's harsh thoughts, just continued laughing at the many shojo-ish jokes.
Rainbow Dash watches D. Gray-Colt
It was a gloomy day in Ponyville. The weather team had moved clouds around to mostly cover the sky, causing most ponies to stay at home lazily. One rainbow-maned pegasus, however, was on her somehow existent cloud computer, going onto Chia-anime.com.
"Urgh, I can't believe they took D. Gray-Colt off of Hoofflix..." She muttered to herself, clicking the 'dub' button. "I'm just glad I'm able to watch it here." She clicked on episode 8, since she'd left off on episode 7. She waited a moment for the theme song, then the "camera" closed in on the Black Order headquarters. The episode title read "The Black Order Annihilation Incident", which made RD's eyes widen (little did she know she'd soon be laughing her head off). She continued watching, as the main character, a gray pegasus named Allen, talking to another pony, a lavender pegasus with greenish hair, and the scene switched to the scientists and Komui, who had made a robot called "Sir Komlin II". Rainbow Dash began to smile as the robot went kuku after drinking coffee, and before she knew what happened, the robot was after the main character while Komui was trying to stop everypony from killing the robot.
"What... the... Hay...?" Rainbow Dash asked, gasping for breath after pausing the video. She played it again after laughing some more, and she found that the hijinks had only just begun (which she didn't expect considering how violent and dark the show was normally.) First, there was a quick sequence in which the robot chased Allen (which came up a few times) that Rainbow couldn't help but snicker at.
Next, one of the scientists brought out a cleaning robot, which was apparently also a fighter robot? Anyway, the robot was about to save Allen, when it started cleaning the floor! Rainbow, once again, needed a moment to catch her breath.
After that (and a few other funny things), the scientists were about to shoot Komlin, when Komui came out of nowhere to stop them. Rainbow Dash was already in stitches.
As if that wasn't funny enough, Kanda, the pony (stallion?) who'd destroyed the first Komlin, just came and then left Allen to die. Finally, the robot caught Allen, which was thankfully when Lenalee (who'd been asleep this whole time) finally woke up and destroyed it. "Yay!" Rainbow Dash laughed, still in hysterics.
"Rainbow Dash! Keep it down!" Twilight called through the door. "Your hysterical laughing is interrupting a funeral right beneath your home right now! It's making the ponies even sadder than they already are!!"
":rainbowderp:" Was all that Rainbow could say... Or do, I guess... :applejackconfused:
