The Doctor Assassinby Dashie23ChaptersChapter 1: TransformationChapter 2: Back to the Future.Chapter 3: FinaleChapter 1: TransformationThe Doctor looked out of his window at Ponyville. The cool night air blew at him, chilling him slightly. He looked at the bed he had once shared with Derpy. It now lay empty and unkempt, devoid of his love forever. His normally well shaven chin was covered in stubble, and empty cider jugs lay around his floor. He had had a purpose, traveling throughout time. But he had made a mistake. The mistake cost him his life with Derpy, and as such, he lost all sense of responsibility. His friend Roseluck checked on him constantly, but the doctor still felt hollow. Empty inside. His soul was being eaten away by the emptiness that only losing one’s true love can cause. As he prepared to open a keg of cider, he heard somepony knock on the door. The Doctor walked over, only to find some pony he had not seen in some time. The pony’s long mane, a bright white that made him look old beyond his years, in the moonlight was a little calming to The Doctor. The pony’s dark blue body made him blend in to the night. “ What do you want from me, Edrick?” The Doctor asked. “I need you to go back to traveling. Gallopfrey needs you.”replied Edrick gravely. “I can’t. After what happened to Derpy, I can’t bring myself to even look at the TARDIS anymore.” “You must. Without you, Gallopfrey is doomed to the Daleks.” “I couldn’t even protect Derpy. How can I save Gallopfrey if I couldn’t even protect one Pegasus pony?” The Doctor shouted, angrily. “Look at me, Time Lord. What happened to Derpy wasn’t your fault.” said Edrick, his horn casting blue magic to turn the Doctor towards his face. “If I hadn’t brought her with me, she wouldn’t have been trapped in the ice prison on Karotock, and wouldn’t have frozen to death. At least, that’s what I figured, I couldn’t find her in the deep snow of her prison.” “You can save her. Go into the ice prison and free her. Using the TARDIS.” “Why hadn’t you told me that, you silly old unicorn! Let’s go!” “I’m afraid I cannot go. Gallopfrey requires my aid. I have brought a friend of mine, who wishes to join your quest.” said Edrick. As Edrick said that, a pony walked out of the shadows. Her yellow mane contrasted with the darkness surrounding her, and her light turquoise body made her simply beautiful. “Who are you?” asked the Doctor. “I’m Lightning Dust. I've been a companion of Edrick's for a while now.” said the pony, with a smirk. “Listen. You can save Derpy, and then help the effort. If you don’t help, the Time War will end with the Daleks’ victory.” said Edrick. “What good will it do? What good will any of this do? I am not a warrior, I am the Doctor. I will not go to war unless I have to. You cannot force me. I am taking the TARDIS alone, and saving Derpy. That is it. After that, I will forget the Time Lords.” said the Doctor. “I thought you would say that.” Edrick thrust a knife into the Doctor’s chest and quickly withdrew it. The pain. The horrible pain! The Doctor began to crawl. “How is he moving? You hit him in the heart!”Lightning Dust screamed. “Binary heart system. Two hearts. One was stabbed, the other has been broken!” said Edrick as he tossed the Doctor in a mirror across from the bed. Edrick forced a brew down the Doctor's throat. The bitter yellow liquid went down surprisingly easy. Edrick grinned. “Don’t worry. Once Gallopfrey is saved, I have a way to rectify this potion, and turn you back into your previous form. But now, a regeneration is being forced, and this particular regeneration will be a warrior. A powerful, willing warrior.” said Edrick, running the knife along the Doctor’s neck. The Doctor began gasping for breath, trying his best to stop the blood flowing from his neck wound, but failing. He felt the familiar glow emanating from his hooves and head. The pain began to fade. He struggled painfully to stop the regeneration, but his efforts were in vain, the regeneration already beginning. “No. What have you done? Damn it, Edrick!” The Doctor screamed. “I did what was necessary for my planet’s survival.” said Edrick. The glow consumed the Doctor. The force of the blast burned a hole in the wall and the bottom of the mirror that the Doctor had crashed into. The light began to fade, and from it emerged a different stallion. Over his previous hourglass cutie mark was a long sword. His mane was now a faint yellow, and didn’t extend down his neck unlike his last mane style, and was slightly neater. His eyes, a dark blue, was much darker than his body, and long wings extended from his sides. “So, Doctor, how does power feel?” said Edrick. “I am the Doctor no more. I am the ultimate warrior, defender of Gallopfrey. I bow to no kings or queens. I fear no shadows or death. My allegiance only lies in my best interest. I am the last hope of the Time Lords. I am the one hiding among the weak, yet towering over the strong. I am a fighter!” said the new stallion. “What is your new title then?” “I am the Assassin. And not once will I let anyone stop me from achieving my goals.” Edrick smirked. He had known that the solution was able to force a Time Lord into becoming a warrior, but not a warrior so strong that even Edrick would fear him. “What areas of combat shall I train in, Edrick?” the Assassin asked, interrupting Edrick’s train of thought. “Well, stealth and sword combat seem good fits for you. Aerial combat would work well with the new wings.” Edrick replied, rather unnerved by the raw power that the Assassin seemed to release with every breath. “Well, what weapons am I to work with?” asked the Assassin. “These will work nicely, I think.” answered Edrick, opening a case. A cloak, white with a white hood and a leather cuirass lay within, alongside two gloves with small blades attached, and two long, beautifully crafted swords. “Well, looks like this stallion is going to have some fun. Come, Lightning Dust, I have the love of my life to save.” Author's Note This is an Assassin's Creed, Doctor Who, and My Little Pony crossover, if you're wondering as to why I put the Crossover in the tags. Chapter 2: Back to the Future. The Assassin and Lightning Dust walked out to a dusty old shed that lay damaged and neglected from the Doctor’s previous pains of losing Derpy. As the Assassin began to open the door, he heard a branch snap in the darkness. The Assassin readied himself. A white pegasus, probably a member of the royal guard, walked out of the shadows. “Stop right there, criminal scum! What are you doing here on private property?” said the pegasus, aiming a pike at him. The Assassin rushed forward, at almost light speed, turned around after passing the guard, and stabbed the guard in the neck. The guard grabbed at his own throat, but the Assassin twisted the guard’s neck, breaking it, and dragged the body into the shed with Lightning Dust following. “Requiescat in pace.” whispered the Assassin in the dying guard’s ear. “Wow, harsh much?” asked Lightning Dust, folding her wings in tightly. “I do what is necessary. Come into the TARDIS with me.” ordered the Assassin. Lightning Dust walked into the shed, and saw a blue box that was tall and rather small looking. “Are we going to fit in that dinky thing?” asked Lightning Dust, skeptical. “It’s bigger on the inside, dearie.” replied the Assassin, adjusting his hidden blades so that they were less conspicuous. The Assassin opened the door. The walls were filled with odd devices and a command center of sorts went through the middle of the TARDIS. And the Assassin was right, it was definitely bigger. Big enough that there was a set of stairs heading down to other rooms. “Why do you use a TARDIS? Can’t you just use some magic or something?” asked Lightning Dust. “I’m not a unicorn. I don’t have that luxury.” answered the Assassin. He walked over to the control panel and yanked a lever, and adjusted the times and locations on the TARDIS. The TARDIS began to show flashing lights and an odd blooping sound. “We are going forward in time, to about 5000 A.D. and heading over to the planet Karotock. On that planet, our objectives are to kill Calias, a Templar Grandmaster and the killer of Derpy, and to save Derpy.” said the Assassin, pulling down his hood. “ We’ll do it with stealth.” The TARDIS stopped its noise and lights. “We should have landed in the middle of Derpy’s cell.” said the Assassin. The doors of the TARDIS were flung open. The Assassin looked around. The cell was dismal, bright white, and freezing cold. Snow fell down from the ceiling. Over on a cot sat Derpy, looking rather frightened. “Doctor, is that you?” Derpy asked, shivering. “I was at one time. I am the Assassin, and I came to rescue you. I can explain, but for now, I need you to go into the TARDIS. Lightning Dust and I have business to attend to.” said the Assassin, using a key his previous self had pickpocketed to open the cell. The Assassin and Lightning Dust walked out, sneaking along, making scarcely a sound. A guard was taunting a mare in her cell. “Tonight, I’m going to have a lot of fun with you. Considering that you are the new prisoner here, I’ll get to show you a good time first.” The guard taunted. The mare began sobbing, hiding her face from the guard. “Oh come on! I know you can’t avoid me.” said the guard. “No, it is you who cannot avoid me.” said the Assassin, snapping the guard’s neck with his hooves. He procured the key and unlocked the mare’s cell. The Assassin drew his long swords and snuck along the sides of the room. Another guard came into sight. The Assassin ran over and impaled the guard on the wall with his swords. The guard attempted to reach for his weapon, but the Assassin ran a wrist blade across the guard’s throat and then withdrew the swords from the guard’s body. The guard fell to the ground in a pool of blood, his wounds increasing the size of the puddle, and staining his yellow coat orange. Lightning Dust, flying lightly to not leave footprints in the snow, looked at the dying pony. A simple earth pony, looking weak and helpless in the pool of blood. She looked over at the pony with a broken neck. He had been a unicorn, and Lightning understood that his death had been necessary, but had the earth pony needed to die? “Come on. Calias cannot be left alive.” said the Assassin, beginning to fly himself. “Understood.” Lightning Dust replied, keeping pace with the Assassin. ***** The two pegasi had snuck up on the office of Calias. The Assassin opened the door quietly. Calias sat in his chair, looking at his computer, facing the wall. Calias was a unicorn, his mane hidden by his cloak. He turned. “Who are you?” asked Calias, his hoof reaching below his desk. “I’m a member of the order of assassins. Well, not officially, but after seeing what cruelty templars can do, I’m very tempted to become one. I am the Assassin. Prepare to die, Grandmaster.” said the Assassin, holding his sword in Calias’s face. Calias drew his own sword from beneath his desk, and charged at the Assassin. The Assassin took a deep breath, and then struck Calias with the sword, stabbing Calias in the leg. “Fuck! That hurts. You’re good, Assassin.” spat Calias. “Gratias tibi ago. Requiescant in pace, inferno daemonem.”whispered the Assassin as he prepared the killing stroke. A sudden pain across his back interrupted his attack. The Assassin turned to find Lightning Dust, gripping a blade taken from the wall, blood dripping from its edge. “You fool. Why would you kill a Templar? After all, I am one, and so is Edrick. And if you’re going to kill a Grandmaster, then I guess you’re on the chopping block.” said Lightning Dust. “What are you going to do about that, Lightning Dust?” asked the Assassin. “I’m going to kill you.” replied Lightning Dust, charging at him. “Damn it, why would you and Edrick be Templars?” asked the Assassin. Lightning Dust paused. “We have our reasons.” she answered. The Assassin had only asked that question to distract her. Before Lightning Dust could see the ruse, the Assassin stabbed her in the chest with his wrist blade. Blood flew from her chest, and turned the Assassin’s blade red. He withdrew his blade and Lightning Dust collapsed on the ground. “Damnit all! Why did I lay down my life for a Grandmaster I didn’t even know? It doesn’t matter anyways. Edrick will soon obtain what he needs to both end the war, and to control even the Time Lords…” said Lightning Dust to herself as the last of her blood pooled on the carpet, and her last breath was released. “I’m sorry.” said the Assassin, turning away from her lifeless corpse. The Assassin turned to face Calias, but a unicorn had already grabbed him and slit his throat. “Who are you?” asked the Assassin. “Sorry. My name is Rarity. My friends and I are members of the Order of Assassins. I used a time travel spell to get here. Come with me, and join our noble cause against the Templars.” answered the unicorn. “Alright. Then I need to give a lending hoof to the Time War.” “Ok, then. Get ready to head to our stronghold.” said Rarity. The room suddenly changed to a room with five other ponies. The Assassin recognized them from Ponyville. Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Princess Twilight Sparkle. “Now, let us begin the induction. Answer in turn with what I say. Where other men blindly follow the truth…” started Twilight. “Nothing is true.” answered the Assassin in turn. “Where other men are limited by morality or law, remember…” “Everything is permitted.” “We work in the dark to serve the light. We are Assassins.” Applejack readied a brand. “Why do we need a brand anyways?” asked Rainbow Dash. “Out of tradition, we brand our left forehooves.” explained Rarity. “Oh, yeah.” said Rainbow Dash, seeing her own brand on her hoof. “So what has made you Assassins?” asked the Assassin, mentally thinking to take a new name as the brand slightly hurt his hoof. “ We have information from Celestia that a Templar is trying to get a hold of an ancient artifact, and the Time War is being fought by Assassins and Time Lords against the Templars and Daleks. We need to stop the Templar from obtaining the artifact.” said Twilight, gravely. “Why?” “The artifact is a Piece of Eden, from our research. We need to find it before the Templar does, or all of ponykind is doomed.” Author's Note I had to make that reference in the chapter title. Also, please leave a like rating and comment below. Bye! Edit: major edits have been made to this chapter. Chapter 3: FinaleEdrick grunted. He took a swing at the rock ahead of him with a pickax. Bits of the rubble flung along the floor. Above, gun fire and lasers were heard. He hefted the pickax and swung again. This time, instead of hitting solid rock, he found a glowing object. “At long last. The Lens of Eden has been found.” Edrick chuckled, swiping the artifact into his pocket. ***** Twilight and the rest of the Assassins were almost ready. “Are you ready, Mr…” asked Twilight, pointing towards the Assassin. “Bolton. Call me Bolton.” said the Assassin harshly. “Okay then, Bolton. We’ve had Rarity bring the TARDIS, and Derpy is back at Ponyville , safe and sound. Let’s get going to Gallopfrey.” The 7 Assassins got aboard the TARDIS, all ready. Twilight handed out weapons to each of the Assassins, except for Bolton, who was already finishing adjusting his Hidden Blades. The TARDIS was beginning to slow. Fluttershy grabbed her crossbow and peeked out the door. “Umm, no pony firing on us, Twilight.” said Fluttershy, quietly. “Got it. Most of you will take the front lines, but Bolton and I will deal with the Piece of Eden and see who’s taking the piece.” said Twilight, pointing out positions on a map. “I think I have an idea on who might be taking the Piece of Eden.” said Bolton, adjusting his cloak’s hood. “Who would that be?” “Edrick. A fellow Time Lord, but a Templar. Lightning Dust mentioned Edrick obtaining something to control even the Time Lords. Which sounds a lot like a Piece of Eden. Where would the piece be located?” “Close to the core of the planet, if my calculations are correct.” “Let’s get going! I came here to kick ass and eat pie, and we’re all out of pie.” Rainbow Dash said, flipping her mane out of her eyes. The Assassins rushed out the door of the TARDIS. Rainbow Dash lead the others over to the battle zone, while Twilight and Bolton looked around from the air. “I see drilling equipment over there!” shouted Twilight as she flew towards a large hole in the surface of the planet. “Got you. We’ll have to go unnoticed. A stealthy slaughter, and then attack Edrick when the numbers have dwindled.” said Bolton, pulling down his hood. Twilight had a cloak and hood of her own, and put them on, along with two Hidden Blades. The two ponies landed. Bolton rushed at a worker climbing up to a dump truck, and slit her throat. Twilight snuck up on a guard on the working area, and slashed his head off with her sword. Twilight pulled a switch, and Bolton walked through the gate. Twilight followed, holding her sword with magic, and behind her, the gate shut. “Edrick should be far down the mine. Can you deal with some of the guards while I take care of Edrick?” asked Bolton. “Yeah. I’ve got some spells to use if worst comes to worst.” “Good. I hope the others are holding out okay.” ***** Rainbow Dash was readying a laser rifle, taken from a fallen Time Lord. The Daleks were less of a concern than the Templars. The Daleks’ shields had degraded from the constant fighting, and it only took a small burst of rifle fire to dispatch them. But the Templars were agile and swift, eluding the Assassin and Time Lord bullets. Rainbow Dash set a large group of Daleks in her sights, and opened fire. All the Daleks fell, broke into pieces, or malfunctioned. She cheered in victory, but not for long. The last few Daleks were running out of juice, or being taken out, but that only meant that soon, the Templars would be their main concern. Rainbow Dash checked the power percentage on the rifle. The rifles ran on a battery, which was charged through a onetime use clip. The percentage was only about 38%. Helpful, but not quite enough. The only other weapons that worked faster than the rifles were crossbows and conventional pistols. Rainbow Dash had acquired one of those from the same solider that had died with a laser rifle. She aimed and pulled the trigger, hitting a flying pegasus templar in the left wing. The pegasus attempted to brace for the impact with the ground, but he couldn’t, and he hit the ground with a sickening crunch. Rainbow Dash checked the pistol. Empty. Great. She had the feeling that it wouldn’t be the last time she had to reload. ***** Bolton was flying carefully through the tunnels. His eyes burned with a fury. He reached the bottom of the tunnel, and saw Edrick, examining his prize. Bolton swung his sword at Edrick, who retaliated by drawing his own sword. “I trust you saved Derpy?” Edrick asked. “I have. Surrender the Piece of Eden to me.” replied Bolton. Edrick answered with a swing of his sword, cutting off Bolton’s right wing. Blood flew from the wound, gushing all over the place. Bolton screamed in pain, but Edrick interrupted his scream by stabbing Bolton in the chest. Edrick laughed. “For an Assassin, you’re pretty weak. Just die.” said Edrick, walking past Bolton. Bolton swung his sword out of desperation, and knocked an item from Edrick’s pocket. A vial full of blue liquid rolled in front of Bolton. He uncorked it and then lapped up the liquid within. It tasted similar to the very liquid that forced his regeneration into Bolton. Bolton felt the glow happen over his body. He outstretched his left wing and what remained of his right wing, and they, along with his face and hooves, began to glow. The burst of energy burned Edrick’s skin, and Bolton’s fire faded. Out of the flames appeared Doctor Whooves, back to normal. The Assassin’s brand, cloak, and weaponry remained, along with a burning desire to kill Edrick. He rushed forward, and stabbed Edrick in the chest. Edrick lay on the floor of the mine. “ Well, nice to have you back, Doctor.” smirked Edrick. “Enough with it, Edrick. I’m taking the piece of Eden, and then letting you die.” said the Doctor, gripping his sword. Twilight came flying down the tunnel, hapharzardly killing any pony she saw, before landing in the tunnel where Edrick and the Doctor were. “Good job. Let’s take the Piece of Eden, get the rest of the group, and then go to Celestia so we can destroy it.” Twilight said. “What about Gallopfrey, and the Templars above?” asked the Doctor. Edrick coughed and then grabbed a radio from his jacket. “Templars, retreat. The artifact is not here.” said Edrick into the radio. Twilight and the Doctor looked at him. “I’m surrendering. Here’s the Piece of Eden.” Edrick said, holding out the ancient artifact. “But why, Edrick?” asked the Doctor. “Because if I have the Templars continue, my own planet will die along with me. There is no point if I’m dying anyways.” Edrick replied, his voice but a whisper now. “Good bye, old friend.”he whispered, and drew his last breath. “Goodnight, Edrick, heir to Grand Time Lord Dragonio, and Templar Grandmaster. Requiescat in pace.” whispered the Doctor. Twilight prepared for flight, and the Doctor walked over to an old elevator, starting it to exit the mine as Edrick's body felt a peace he had never had in life. ***** Rainbow Dash and the four of her friends who had stayed with her waited for Twilight and Bolton. The Templars had all retreated to Celestia knows where, and the other Assassins had left in pursuit. The Time Lords had gone into a grand hall to prepare a victory feast. Applejack was chewing on a piece of grass that had somehow survived the intense warfare. Pinkie Pie was bouncing as usual, wanting to throw some kind of Time War Victory party, while Fluttershy was preening her feathered wings. Rarity was complaining about the mud in her hooves, despite the blood soaked cloak she wore. Rainbow Dash was rather amused with this fact, and so was Applejack, who chuckled to herself. Twilight landed on the ground in front of her friends. “So, Twilight, where’s Bolton?” asked Rainbow Dash. “It’s actually Doctor Whooves.” said the Doctor, worn and weary, but still wearing his cloak. “Ain’t you the stallion Derpy’s had her heart set on for a while now?” asked Applejack. “Yes, I am. I’d like to go back to Equistria soon though. I’ve worn rather weary from the battle and regeneration.” answered the Doctor. “Let’s go to Canterlot, then we can go to Ponyville.” said Twilight. Her horn glowed, as did Rarity’s, and they were transported just outside of the Castle where Celestia and Luna resided. It was mid-morning in Canterlot, so Twilight rapped on the door. The Royal Guard approached. “What brings you here, Princess Twilight?” asked Flash Sentry. “My friends and I need to speak to Princess Celestia.” said Twilight. ***** “…So that’s what happened?” asked Celestia, holding the obtained Piece of Eden. “Yes, your majesty.” answered the Doctor. “Okay, then. The piece is to be destroyed now.” said Celestia, who then blasted the artifact to bits. “Wow.” said Pinkie Pie. “You want to see “Holy shit” too?” grinned Celestia. Before Pinkie could open her mouth, Twilight teleported the group back to Ponyville. ***** Derpy hugged the Doctor tightly, happy to have him back. “So what exactly happened?” asked Derpy. “Everything you’d expect.” said the Doctor, kissing Derpy with a passion that could never be matched ever again. Author's Note The finale. I'm pretty done for a while. I'll work on something new later.
