Equestria is slowly falling into darkness and six pony hybrids are chosen by Princess Cadence. This odd team cosists of Ling, the half changeling, Manti, the half manticore, Phoebe, the half phoenix, Scale, the half dragon, Timber, the half timberwolf, and finally, Ice Breeze, the half windigo. Will they be able to use their special abilities to stop this rising darkness, or will their constant rivalry with each other, and the constant prejudice by other ponies hinder them saving Equestria?
