The Pyro Maniac
By Dusty McBuck
Somewhere in alpha centaury was an odd alien named Blaze.
This alien enjoyed burning stuff; yes; the only thought of watching something get burst into flames made him shudder gaining always an ecstasy mode that drove him to the climax.
Blazes burned entire forests just for the heck of it, small wooden creatures, abandoned houses, everything that he could put his hands on and go unpunished. Well, that was until this mad alien decided that it would be a great idea to burn a bigger living being; One of his species.
Of course, like everything in life; he got his consequences. According to his home land’s laws; the punishment for taking another’s life would result on ‘dead penalty’.
So, he was on the ‘dead rode’ being escorted by other two uniformed aliens; cuffed and unable to make much movement.
They gave him ‘the chair’ for his acts after a failed trial that defined him as a mad alien who’s reason to keep living was the excitement of burning everything; for criminal who knew what was doing.
Sitting on ‘the chair’ now; looking in front of him all confused. He didn’t know why he was there or what was happening. All the mean aliens in front of him were staring at him with hatred. This actually activated something on his mind that could be described as sadness; he started to cry. This was so confusing and weird; why would they do such a thing to him?!
They putted on his head a wet sponge and just when they were about to put a black potato bag on his head he started to plead and question between sobs, “Please, stop… Why are you doing this to me? What’s happening? Why would you do this to me?”
Just when those words left his mouth a lady in the very front of the aliens screamed at him, “You are a monster! You deserve everything that’s happening to you! You have no right to plead and cry like a little girl!!!”
Just when she said that; the aliens activated ‘the chair’ sending hundreds of volts all around his body and brain causing him to die almost instantly.
One of the guards that was beside the corpse of Blaze whispered under his breath, “May god have mercy of your soul; rest in peace.”

Blaze found himself in a strange place. It was all white and full of fog that covered every centimeter of his being.
Blaze was scared of this place, “where I am?” He asked between sobs; still crying under his breath.
A strange voice that came out of nowhere answered with a soft and relaxing voice, “In heaven my child”
Blaze jumped slightly in surprise. This voice talked once again, “I have seen you on Centauri. I know that you never meant harm on no one but yet they punish you for your acts instead of helping you; guiding you to do the right thing. That’s why I forgive you.”
Blaze was out of words; really, not even his little vocabulary could manage to say a word.
God talked once more in a reassuring way, “Don’t worry my child. I’ll send you to a place where you will be happy and no one can hurt you very badly. I’ll even give you a great destiny to fulfill. You’ll be important to the beings around you and you’ll bring smiles to everyone.”
God snapped his fingers and a light surrounded Blaze; making him feel warm and relaxed with no worries on his mind anymore; no more pain.

Another light appeared before her eyes; it made her feel exposed and vulnerable so she started to cry like there was no tomorrow.
The doctor was holding her upside down as her mom was smiling brightly to her daughter in front of her eyes. The father was smiling with proud. There was a new member of the family. The nurses wrapped the baby on a little towel to pass her to her mother.
The father was cuddling beside her wife smiling at the now sleeping baby on the grasp of her mother, “How should we name her, honey?”
The mother though for a moment, “I think I’ll call her like my grandmother.”
The father smiled at her words, “That’s a beautiful name, honey.”
The mother looked at her child in agreement, “Isn’t it a cute name, ‘Pinkamena Diane Pie’?”
The little baby opened her eyes and smiled at their parents like if she understood what they were saying.
Mother and father hugged each other tightly; happy to see the miracle of life before their eyes.

In another plane of the existence god was looking at his did. He was happy to see the miracle of life, it always made him smile.
That’s when the archangel San Miguel decided to enter the room.
“Father, I have news regarding ‘The Fallen’”
God turned to see Miguel with a serious gaze, “I saw it coming, Miguel. Lucifer is coming to declare war on us.”
Miguel had a sad expression and answered, “Yes, father. He is coming and He will not listen to reason because he has lost long that privilege.”
God smiled, “Reason is not a privilege dear, Miguel; it’s a bless. The ones that lack of it are like misguided sheep that need a shepherd. Never forget that dear, Miguel.”
Miguel was smiling now, “Yes, father. I will never forget your words.”
God nodded, “Now, go prepare the troops, Miguel. And tell my son from earth to guide them on the battle ahead.”
Miguel bowed and said, “Yes, father; as you wish.”
Miguel immediately left the room where God was; alone once again.
He turned to see how the young Pinkie was doing. She was in that moments getting her cutie mark. God only smiled. When he promised something, it would always come true. That was his will; an infinite will. It made him the most powerful being in that part of the existence plane.
