Assassins Creed: Redemption
Beggining
Load Full StoryIt was a dark day in Boston. Even darker, if you knew what was coming. Connor sprinted, from roof to roof desperately trying to stop this new scheme the Templars had forged.
"Where is Charles Lee?" Connor shouted at the captured spy, twenty minutes earlier. The spy coughed, as Connor tackled him off the rooftop. He was going to die, but not without giving Connor his information first.
"I'll tell you nothing." He said between breaths. Blood dribbled from the corners of his mouth, and he tried to cough it up.
"I will let you go" Connor began "but only after you tell me your plot." The soy nodded which pleased Connor. 'I will have my vengeance, regardless of the Old Man's doubts.'
"Charles Lee meets with Haytham Kenway, Thomas Hickey and Benjamin Franklin at the house of congress. George Washington is being brought to them... they're going to have him killed in a display of power." His breathing ended and Connor closed the man's eyes.
He stood up, put his hood up and ran for the house of congress as fast as he could.
Twenty minutes later, he was closing in on his target. Thoughts raced through his mind 'Templars always work in secret pulling the strings in plain sight, yet they go unnoticed. Why would hey murder Washington publicly would give them away...' This idea troubled Connor, and he doubled his speed.
He descended to the ground, and noticed the people running from the house of congress. 'Something has already happened...'
He noticed a golden light coming from the windows as he approached so he kicked in the door and ran upstairs only to be greeted by a host of Templars. The spy told the truth, as the men in front of him were Hickey, Franklin, Lee and Connors own father, Haytham. Washington lay at their feet, unconscious while Haytham was holding a golden, spherical object. This object was causing the golden light.
"Ah, Connor!" said Haytham, in mock surprise. "Have you come to see the beginning of a new world? Of a better world?"
"I have come to stop you." Connor said flatly.
"Always the same, you see." Haytham told his brethren. "Straight to the point. Very well Then. You think you can stop this? You are a fool boy." Haytham finished, in a much more aggressive tone. Suddenly he was greeted by an arrow piercing his leg, as it came through the window. He shouted, fell to his knees and dropped the object. As it rolled toward Connor, Lee shouted
"Do not interrupt the ritual, beast!" They both jumped for it, but Connor grasped it first. There was a blinding light eliminating from the object the sound of a large explosion and Connor felt himself flying backwards.
Connor re awakened on cold stone. His hood had been knocked down, and it took him some time to adjust to the light. He sat up, to see a burning house. Connor was many thing, but at that moment (as confused as he was) he had to intervene. It was in his nature.
He stood up, and tried to run to the house but his right hip had been impaled by a stray piece of wood. Still he continued walking toward the house. Soon, his hearing returned and he heard screaming. His eyesight began to turn blurry and eventually he was bumped into by a running woman. He fell due to the impact and saw no more.
