And when she tried to report the robber to the police she just got shot at. Maybe it was just a misunderstanding. I mean I do look sort of menacing to some. I wouldn't harm anyone. Even when I stopped the robber I tried to make it as painless as possible. I just wish that someone, somewhere would look past my look and see what's in my heart. I shook my head and stopped my what ifs. I couldn't let one little town stop me. What was in my way was a huge steep cliff. I was about to take off so I readied my wings and jumped. I fell flat on my face. I forgot about my wings getting even more torn then usual. I still don't understand how I could fly before the gun incident. I thought about it a little and I just came to the conclusion that it's magic. Due to me being a young Nymph I still haven't learned basic unicorn skills like teleportation and telekinisis. This will take a while to climb. I looked around for a place to start and I had to go quite out of my way to get there. At first it felt really unnatural. As I went on I started to get the hang of it and soon I started to get half way up the mountain. I really wish my wings weren't damaged. I looked back behind me and the hive was but a little speck. I was three quarters of the way there when I saw a bright colorful rainbow shockwave. I was mesmerized. That shockwave came closer and closer. Soon after it passed me the rock I was on chipped off and fell. I hit some rock below and blacked out. "Do you think it's okay?" "I don't know dear." "We can't just leave it out here." "But it's a changeling. You know what they do." "Come on honey let's take it in just until it heals." "Alright fine but when it heals it is out." "Thanks honey."
Journey through dodge cityView OnlineA Changeling Through EquestriaJourney through dodge cityI walked outside and then I was stopped by Craig. "If you're going to be going out there just be careful." I nodded and continued on. As I looked across the horizon I started to see a city. It wasn't very big but it was still a city. I walked towards it but then I had realized that my previous attempt of entering a populated place had gone awry. I tried to transform and orange flames starting to cover me but when I looked at myself I was still well... me. I sighed as I continued my slow,treacherous walk. Who builds a city in between a mountain anyways. I devised a plan to get through the city. I would just hide in the shadows until I could get out. I picked a bush and waited for the ponies to move then I quickly moved alongside the bush. Just then I heard a bright, cheery voice. "I'm just saying that they should make chimicherrychangas!" I peeped my eyes out of the bush I was in and I saw a pink pony with a pinker mane bouncing cheerfully. I then saw her body twitching along with her tail moving erratically and ending with her jumping. She really needs to lay off the caffeine. I saw a purple one ask the pink one what was going on. "I really don't know. I've never had my tail twitch that much before." They started to walk toward where I was hiding and I started to get nervous. Luckily they were only talking. I could't move or I risk capture. I then felt a tickling in my muzzle. The tickling grew stronger and stronger and even though I tried to hold it in, it forced it's way out. "Aaa-aaaa-aaaaa-chooo!" Great... I just had to signal my location didn't I? The purple one went to my bush. I tried to crouch down to make myself a hidden as possible. It didn't work. "A CHANGELING!?" I was then covered in a purple aura, unable to get away. I could just barely move my own body. She pulled me in and took a good look at me. "What is a changeling doing here? They were all defeated back a couple of days ago." I tried to look around again and what I saw was kind of frightening. A blue pegasus looked like she was going to beat me up, the marshmallow was looking at me with disgust, the orange one was looking at me a confused look, the yellow pegasus was hiding behind her own mane and finally the purple one was giving me a scrutinizing look. I decided to speak, maybe I could clear things up. "Umm... hi?" "Oh my gosh, it talks!" said the purple one. "Why wouldn't I?" "You're a changeling. Changelings don't talk. They can't talk." "Can you let me go?" "Why should I? You haven't given me a reason to yet. For all I know you could be evil." I could kind of understand where she was going, me being a changeling in all. Still it was currently better then the griffons. They attacked me on site. I looked around again and I saw the cityfolk were gathering around me. Some had confused faces while other had angry faces. A few of them were just indifferent to me. "Spike, take a letter." "About what?" "About the changeling. I don't know what to do with it." "Hey! I'm right here you know." I saw the purple one tell the dragon to take a letter. I think his name was Spike. She was telling him to write a letter to Celestia. The queen always told us to beware of her. Celestia defeated her twice before so who knows what she would do to me. I saw "Spike" breath green fire on the letter and it being sent away. A few minutes of silence and "Spike" burped up a letter. "Ok girls, Princess Celestia told us to meet her in Canterlot along with the changeling. She will decide what to do next." I saw everyone else nod and they started to walk towards the train station. "All Aboard!" The purple one forced me onto the train along with the others. Everyone screamed and a pony ran into the purple one. The unicorn's magic was disrupted and that gave me a chance to escape. I didn't really care where I teleported it would be now or never. I focused my magic and the purple one along with the rest tried to stop me. Right before they touched me I was gone. I slowly waited for me to go back to reality. As the bright white flash of light faded I saw I was in a creepy, dark forest. I looked around and I saw an old, dilapidated castle. The sun started to go down so I decided to seek shelter in it. I would focus on getting out tomorrow when I can get some rest. Author's Note Well... this was a big chapter. Since my mac's computer power cord was destroyed along with my linux. A Rough Night's SleepView OnlineA Changeling Through EquestriaA Rough Night's SleepI opened my eyes and saw a very familiar sight. I saw the hive again, how I got here I really don't know. I tried to move but it seemed I was stuck in third pony perspective. I remember this time. I was 2 years old and that was when the nymphs could finally get out of the basic training camps. I saw me as happy as can be walk around when those 3 bullies came up to me to harass me. I cringed remembering how much I hated them even now. I am guessing this is a flashback? But this couldn't be a flashback it feels all so real. The past me was gazing off a cliff looking at the beauty of the hive when those 3 came up upon me and laughed with an pernicious look and then they pushed me off of it. You see back in the hive the females are considered a disgrace besides the queen. I was bullied a lot back then, even in the training camp. I remember there being one teacher who actually showed me kindness which in turn inspired me to be kind to others, even if they were mean back. I saw me tumbling down the rocky cliff and I could almost feel the pain of it all. The bullies flied down and started to torment me. "Face it scrub. No one will ever like you. You are a huge disgrace to the changeling name. I hope you fall in a pit and die." Those words had affected me so much even now. Even the queen barely likes me and whenever we get food it seems I always get the lesser amount. They has always treated me like I was the runt of the litter. Whenever I would cry my equestrian teacher would always comfort me and tell me everything would be alright. She was like a mother to me. No matter what she was always there for me. She even was there to give me extra food when I was starving. She was the only one who cared for me in the hive. The place started to grow darker when I remembered some of the worse memory's that had happened to me. Those 3 bullies all male decided to do something dastardly to me. When we had a public meeting for all the nymphs to go on their first hunt for love those bullies gathered pigs blood, went above the stage where we were given a certificate to be able to go outside and when it was my turn, right when I was about to get it they poured the blood onto me. It was then on that I was the laughing stock of the hive and I was never able to receive the certificate and making it where I could never go outside with the others. I had cried on the floor waiting hoping for my teacher to come comfort me. She never came. I had all hope ripped out of me then on. I couldn't even attend classes to improve my skills due to the teachers banning me when I tried to enter the classrooms. Not that I could of due to all my classmates laughing at me. I tried again to enter my teacher's classroom and it was locked and dark. As the world I was in started to break apart It kept growing lighter and lighter I finally woke up. I actually started crying when I recalled the nightmare I was in. I try so hard to forget it and it forces it's way to the top of my mind. I decided to get out of the castle. Everfree FilliesView OnlineA Changeling Through EquestriaEverfree FilliesI had gone out and saw the beautiful morning that was today. Even though the forest felt unnatural it still was gorgeous I decided to head north and when I encountered a raging sea. I had decided to turn back when I saw a sea serpent. I was about to panic when it talked to me. He said his name was "Steven Magnet" weird name I know but a name is still a name. I asked him if he knew where the closest way out of here is and he pointed me to the north. He grabbed me and gently placed me on the other side. I had thanked him and I continued on my way out of this forest. On my way I passed by a kinda creepy shack and when I looked inside I saw a zebra. I decided not to visit it due to me not knowing the place. I continued along and I saw some weird, blue plant. I avoided it just in case. After a few minutes of walking I hit a clearing. I finally got out of the forest. When I exited the forest I saw a small little cottage next to a stream. I decided to avoid it due to the possibility of ponies living there. I walked around on the outskirts of town and decided to take a small rest on the bench. Luckily there weren't any ponies around my vicinity so I could relax in peace. The sun was shining, birds were tweeting, sky was clear and a giant piano was coming towards my head. Wait a second A GIANT PIANO! I didn't move in time and I crushed me. Thanks to my thick chitin I was still alive although it still hurt. "Oops my bad" I looked up and saw a grey pegasus coming to me. "Are you okay?" "I'm fine although a bit hurt." "Sorry, I was helping somepony move." "It's okay just don't let it happen again." "I guess I should introduce myself, my name is Ditzy D. Hooves." "What does the D stand for?" "Derpy!" "Oh so I guess I should introduce myself as well. My name is Azalea." "Hi Azalea! Here have a friendship muffin." "Thanks Ditzy. I'm surprised you weren't scared of me or at the very least skeptical." "Why would I?" "Well I'm a changeling for one." "I really don't care what's on the outside. I think its what's on the inside that counts." "Thanks for the muffin Ditzy." "No problem see you soon!" Well that went better then I thought. I made a new friend and got a muffin. I decided to take a bite of it and it was one of the best bran muffins I have ever tasted, Or more like the first muffin I have ever tasted. Maybe things would't be so bad. I continued on and I saw 3 little fillies. I hid in a bush so that I wouldn't scare them for their screams would attract unwanted attention. "There has to be a way for us to get our cutie marks." "Come on think! what have we not tried yet that could earn us our cutie marks?" "Have we tried skydiving yet?" "And just how are we supposed to do that?" "Rainbow Dash could help us maybe?" "Scootaloo, Rainbow Dash is with Twilight and the others searching for a changeling. I doubt she could come right now." "You're right Applebloom I guess that we can't do that right now." "How about we hold a rock concert?" "We already did that Sweetie Belle" For what seemed to be an hour they argued on getting something called a "cutie mark" I know that changelings don't get cutie marks, they never have but it did seem to be pretty important to them. After what seemed forever reality appeared to fade out of existence and I realized I have started to fall asleep. I popped in the middle of a tree library where I then saw the purple one. "Aha I knew I would find you eventually. It's time for you to meet your destiny." I saw her horn have a purple aura and I heard a heavy metal clanking sound where I was standing. I looked down and saw that it was shackles." "Okay dragon contact the princess. I think she will be happy to see this changeling." I saw the dragon take a letter and burn it where it became magical smoke. "Ok done. Now what do we do the changeling." "Well while she gets her I never had a chance to experiment with changelings before." Wait a second did she just say experiment? "Dragon help me move this changeling to my basement." "Ok I got it." I saw as the dragon struggled to lift me and the purple one magicked me to the basement. I had to get away. I quickly thought of a way to get out and I remembered I could teleport. I gathered up magic to teleport and I teleported out of there. I felt free air for a second then I was forcefully teleported back down there. "Oh don't worry about getting free. I've learned from the past. Now how about you stop and let's do some experiments." She then had a horribly evil grin. "Oh Dragon can you bring my instruments down here?" "Which ones?" "All of them." "You got it" How could this happen to me. As the dragon approached I saw a variety of instruments all of them sporting incredibly sharp edges. "You know I always have been curious about a changelings anatomy. I say why don't we both find out now." "But what about the princess coming?" "Then I am going to have to be quick with the vivisection." It was at that moment I was basically the frog of every schools vivisection. I couldn't move. I couldn't scream. I could only watch in horror as she strapped me to a device which held my wings and hooves in place as it snapped shut. "Shouldn't we at least get it some propofol?" "I want it awake for the entire operation and Dragon, go to the roof and tell me when the princess is coming." "You got it." "Well changeling you are going to wish you never invaded Canterlot." "But I never did. You can't do this to me. I am just a nymph." "Oh is that your excuse? Just because you're a child that you can destroy homes and invade." "But I wasn't even allowed to go out of the hive to invade." "Well I guess you should of stayed there. Well I guess this is a learning experience for both of us." That evil she-demon grabbed a scalpel and place it at the middle of my chest. "Too bad I don't have an autopsy table. I guess I am just going to have to make you last." "How could you do this to me?" "The simple answer is for science!" "What ever happened to first do no harm?" "Don't you know what else that's called? It is referred to the Hippocratic Oath" I have to stall her until the princess arrives or otherwise I am screwed. "Now where is my sternal saw? Ah here it is now let's begin." She slowly came towards me with the instruments and started to tear me with the scalpel. I started to tear but I knew if I started to scream then she would win. "Interesting. Changelings still have hemolymph now let's see the rest of the anatomy. I saw as my hemolymph slowly drained out of my body and onto my chest, it glistening in the light. She grabbed another set of tools and oh buck me are those rib shears?! "Tsk tsk can't exactly examine you with those pesky ribs in the way now can we? Let me fix that." She grabbed the rib shears so I braced myself for the onslaught of pain. Just then a voice from the heavens occurred. "Umm... the princess is coming right now." "Grrr alright Dragon hide all of these tools and I will sow it back up." I heard a cluttering and the she-demon sticking a sharp needle into me and using magic to make the marks invisible. A couple of minutes later my body looked normal but I still felt pain. "She's here!" "Ok Dragon bring the changeling out and give it to princess." I slowly got picked up by Dragon and I came face to face with her. "Oh I'm going to enjoy this. Thank you Purple One for bringing me this changeling." "Sigh no problem princess I am just going to need to get another one." I saw as she levitated me onto the carriage nearby her and gave me an evil look similar to the she-demon's look. "I will make you pay for all the bad deeds you and your kind has brought upon Canterlot and all of Equestria. "But I'm innocent." "I think I might wake up the executioner. It's been too long since he has been used." I started to cry. I couldn't believe it. I am innocent and here she is executing me. I saw the world start to dissipate and I realized it was just a dream. It was then on that I knew I couldn't trust those ponies. I didn't want to die.
Shenanigans EnsueView OnlineA Changeling Through EquestriaShenanigans EnsueI woke up from that horrible nightmare. I really didn't want to die. I shakily got up from my bed and noticed something different. It felt soft a fuzzy but I couldn't tell what it was. I had to ignore it. I had to get out and get some food. For the last few days I have been so busy with the various events that I couldn't even get the basic necessities needed to survive. The problem is where can I go to get food? I can't go into the town or I might be dissected or experimented on and I can't exactly hunt without equipment and I barely know any destructive magic. I do sometimes wish that I knew about the arcane arts because that would really help me. I made a decision that I had to be stealthy and get some food that way. This time I will not fail like the last 2 times I tried to hide and got caught. I walked out the edge of the forest and explored a bit until I came upon and apple orchard. I swore I heard a theme song as I prepared to steal some apples. I don't know where that song came from but right now that was the least of my worries. I snuck up and saw that an orange colored apple pony with a huge red stallion bucking apples. She looked really familiar and then I realized she was with the others and she-demon that were trying to send me to Celestia. I couldn't let myself get caught and I couldn't let myself starve either. I needed to get just a few apples to sustain myself for a while longer. I snuck around to the barn and saw a few buckets of apples. "Hey Big MacIntosh do you hear some weird music playing?" "Eeyup" "I really wish that we could've found that changeling though. Twilight is really upset that she let the Princess down. I tried to calm her but Equestria is a big place and the changeling could be anywhere. It wasn't her fault he got away." Oh great they don't even know my gender. I sure hope if they somehow capture me they don't "check" to see what my gender is. I tried to grab a few apples but strangely my magic fizzled out. I noticed myself getting shorter and furrier which was strange. Last I checked I didn't use any magic to do this and there isn't another explanation. I looked at myself and I had white fur? I didn't have much longer so I just used my incisors to grab an apple and run. "What in tarnation? Hey! get back here with my apple." I hopped as fast as I could but it was no use. She ran faster then me. "Oh great another one of Fluttershy's animals got away. Well I guess I am just going to have to deliver it to her myself." Wait a second. That was what I was!? A rabbit!? I tried to struggle but I couldn't get of that pony's iron grip. I saw we got closer and closer to a cottage that I recognized before. It was the yellow one's house. I think her name is Shutterfly but I can't really remember. Kinda hard to listen to someone when you are in a panic. She spit me out and yellow for Fluttershy. "Yes Applejack?" "I found this varmint trying to steal my apples and retreat into the Everfree. I think he may be yours." "Oh my, Thank you Applejack for finding a lost animal. I couldn't bear to think what would happen if he got hurt or killed." The pegasus gently picked me up with her mouth and carried me to her cottage. Inside the cottage I noticed it was like a zoo. There were so many animal that even I couldn't name them all. "There you go little one. You shouldn't run off into the Everfree Forest. Dangerous creatures live there and you could be hurt." Wait a second I lived there for a few days and the most I've encountered was a sea serpent that I think was named Steven Magnet. I don't know if he told me his name or not but I am pretty sure he was called that. My stomach soon rumbled and the pegasus looked at me with worry. "Oh sorry. I was too busy talking to you that I never noticed how hungry you were. Here let me go get you some food." I wanted to escape, I truly did but I also really needed some food. I might just keep this ploy up for a bit longer. "Here you go little one a nice juicy salad. I need to go to the market to get some more food so I'll be right back." I looked at the salad and it looked delicious. Maybe it was because I was a bunny or maybe it was because I was hungry either way I was going to enjoy it. As I was about to eat it I noticed another bunny eyeing me evilly. I just ignored it but then it started to hop toward me. I kicked the salad out of my way and started to eat it. There was no way that that bunny was going to just steal my food. I kicked it back towards me and the bunny started to look upset. I quickly took a bite and then the bunny snapped. The bunny lunged towards me and attacked. It attacked with a flurry of kicks to my forehead and it really hurt. It finished with a jump kick to my chest and I was knocked down. The bunny jumped on me and I could almost understand him. This is my house and no one will get her. You will not steal her affection towards me or else. Now how about you give me that salad and no one gets hurt. I noticed the other animals backing away from us and I tried to tell him that salad was mine but nothing came out. I couldn't take this lying down. I haven't eaten in more then 3 days. I needed that salad. I was willing to fight for it. I opened up with a strong kick to it's chest and it got knocked upwards. It gave me a really mean grimace and all the animals seemed to gasp. I heard the door start to rumble and Fluttershy came home. "I'm back my little critters." She looked at me with worry and noticed that I was noticeably injured. "We need to get you some medical attention fast. Who could do such a thing." I noticed the bunny whistling and acting all innocent. "Angel do you know who could have done this?" I saw the bunny shake and gave me an evil grin. By that time I was kinda wanting some hasenpfeffer. She grabbed me up and quickly patched me up. She then grabbed me and placed me in her bed. "You need to get some rest so your wounds can heal up little critter." Since I had nothing else to do with her around I slowly slumbered back into dreamland once more. Her warmth and kindness basking me to sleep. Author's Note Welp Azalea is in another pickle. With Fluttershy mistaking her for one of her animal and having a demonic bunny after her it won't be good. You know I originally had Azalea's name to be Ebony but then I thought the name could be interpreted as racist so I switched it's name to a random flower name.
Sweet DreamsView OnlineA Changeling Through EquestriaSweet DreamsI nuzzled toward the yellow pegasus soaking in the warmth and love. I have never felt love like this before. I could tell it was real and it gave me a fluttery feeling in my stomach. For once in my life someone cared for me. Even if I was a rabbit now I still enjoyed being it around her. I am starting to think that not all ponies are bad. I nuzzled up to her soft warm tummy and slowly I slumbered of into a dream. I started in a town named Ponyville. I looked at my body and I was a small unicorn filly with a coat that was the color of azaleas with a midnight blue mane and a striped black and white tail that was kinda pointed. I looked once more at my mane to find that it was somewhat spiky and had a hint of purple which I will admit I do like this look. I decided to explore this place and for the first time ponies didn't run from me. I was normal I could actually live my life. I continued past a library which I still dreaded but when I walked up a purple pony came to greet me. "Hi my name is Twilight Sparkle what is your name?" "Umm my name is Azalea." I started to back away for I really didn't want a repeat of the last incident. "Hey don't worry I'm not going to hurt you." Yeah sure and she doesn't have a secret sex dungeon in her basement. "Oh come on Azalea I can see your new here and I once was too but trust me this town is crazy at first but eventually you get used to it. When I first came to Ponyville I met Pinkie Pie and I thought everything was weird. At first I didn't think I needed any friends but as time went on they became my best friends." "Oh ok Twilight so umm sorry about me being shy. I just have had some bad experiences with some other ponies." I felt something strange. This Twilight didn't feel like she-demon from my previous nightmare. It felt... Genuine. She actually had kindness in her heart. "Well good luck meeting new ponies in Ponyville Azalea!" "Thank you Twilight." I decided to go back to the cottage where I found something strange. I saw a rabbit that was lying down right next to Fluttershy where I was went to sleep. I turned it over and saw soulless eyes staring back at me. I jumped back a few feet and poked it again and it melted into black sludge which quickly disappeared under the bed. I walked over to Fluttershy and saw the the same thing happen. I ran out of the house to find that Ponyville was in ruins. Everywhere I looked I saw dead bodies everywhere. I ran back to Twilight Sparkle's Library and I opened the door. I saw her in a chair which I was relieved. "Twilight everything is going wrong. There are dead bodies everywhere!" "Of course everything is going wrong Azalea. This is all your fault. You should have never come here in the first place. You attracted the queen which now killed everyone. Face it you will never be a pony." She lunged towards me and pinned me down. I tried to escape but nothing worked. "And now you are going to pay for your crimes Azalea. You will become one with all the ponies you killed. Just then the library opened up and a black sludge with many lost souls came up to me and started to consume me. I saw in the many eyes of the sludge all the pain and suffering caused of these trapped lifeless souls. I gently cried as it consumed me as I would soon become one of them. "You should have never come here Azalea." I woke up from that horrible nightmare and cried into Fluttershy. It was nice having someone there to comfort me. At least while there was still someone. Just that thought made me cry harder. Is this all my life will amount to? I don't want these dreams to become a reality.
Azalea's LamentView OnlineA Changeling Through EquestriaAzalea's LamentI woke up with a silent scream escaping my throat. Why must I keep having these horrible nightmares? It's like a horrible god took control of my life and decided to torture me. The only bright side I can think of is that these dreams aren't real. It would be absolute discord if they managed to escape my mind. I looked around and saw that Fluttershy had a concerned look on her face. I might have panicked a little bit when I woke up from this nightmare. "Oh my you poor thing. You must have had a nightmare. It's ok it isn't real and it won't hurt you." She looked towards my leg and gasped. "Where did this black goo come from? Here let me wash this off for you." I don't remember there being an instance where I would get covered in black goo unless that that goo came from my dreams... Nah that can't possibly happen. It must have just come from somewhere else. I really hope that it didn't come from my dreams. Who knows what would would happen if they did escape. I hadn't have time to ponder what would or could happen for this mare seems to be able to read me like a book even though I speak no words I wonder how she does it though. I was lost in thought when I was brought back to reality with some cold water. "It will be just a minute before I get this sludge off of you. Just hold still and relax." No sooner after she said that had I saw the black sludge go down the drain with a gurgling noise with a hint of sadness as it disappeared from sight. She took me back to the bedroom and put me on the soft bed once more. She turned off the light and sung me a lullaby which started to lull me to sleep. NO I can't sleep again. I don't want to endure these stupid nightmares anymore. I won't sleep. I pretended to sleep and heard her say tell me good night little one and told me to have a sweet dream. I knew the irony was so cruel to me. I waited until her cute, quiet snoring began to take place and I quietly went to the kitchen to find some things to keep me awake. As I hopped along to the kitchen I heard a weird gurgling sound but when I turned around I saw nothing. I hopped along and found the multitude of animals and saw the devil bunny sleeping. He does look cute when he's sleeping but he still had invisible devil horns. I really didn't want to wake him or I might be beat up again. I hopped on the opposite side of the side of the room and found the kitchen. Now for the coffee and energy drinks. I found some writing which I couldn't really read in the dark but I think it was some kind of energy tea which would also help to wake me up. It said to seep it in warm water for 3 minutes then drink. I got a glass and poured a warm glass of water then ripped the teabag with my incisors then let it seep. I just waited while thinking about what might happen which gave me extra incentive not to fall asleep then I waited a bit more. The water gave a nice smell and which I think it was ready so I drank it. It tasted great and soon enough the glass was completely empty. I wiped off the liquid from my face and looked at what kind of tea it was. I saw on the packet "Extra Sleepy Chamomile Tea With Honey" My vision started to go blurry and my one thought before I faded to nightmare land was whoever is doing this to me should go screw itself to Tartarus. My favorite color is a color known as gloxinia, a very pretty flower color. What I hope will happen next is that I will get my original body back and for whoever is the torturous little son of a motherless goat will go to a mental institute. I looked around and saw some very creepy ponies with the same cutie mark. They all gave the same smile which gave me a very subtle message to screw everything and run. I ran farther and farther all the while the land growing darker and more desolate. I had to get out of there. Every single time I come in contact with other creatures they end up evil. As I continued from what seemed to be the edge of Equestria I found a thick, black fog that seemed to go for miles. I looked behind me and saw those creepy monotone ponies very slowly advancing on me. With nowhere else to go I went through the fog. As I entered the fog I realized that I can't believe that I was in the exact same place I had started. I heard a big rumble and the ground started shaking then I saw the fog come closer together. I was being closed in by some inanimate piece of water. I saw that all the ponies just slowly stood still staring at me with soulless eyes but this time with not a smile but deep regret. Every single one of them with sadness surrounding them. I slowly walked past them and I noticed murmuring of the ponies. They kept saying "I'm sorry" and "It's making me do this". I found a pony and asked them who was doing this to them and all I got was "Please help end our eternal suffering." I heard a rumbling again and fog drew closer again and the ponies seemed to be even more depressed. I just prayed that Fluttershy would wake me up soon. I had nowhere else to go now so I entered the town and saw a bunch of ponies mourning and several others which seemed to have the life sucked straight out of them. I noticed a laughter and all the ponies cowered and tried to hide as the place grew pitch black. I heard a bunch of soul piercing screams and then light came again. I looked around and saw a bunch of ponies that looked as if their life was sucked out. It was just like the others I saw. I looked back behind me to find that the fog started to destroy everything it came across leaving a trail of death and despair. I saw a huge castle which I couldn't make out the material it was made of. The earth rumbled again and the fog was getting dangerously close to the town. I started to climb the tower when I heard an evil laughter once more. The place blacked out and I appeared at the top of the tower and saw a demented looking creature which appeared to be made from the souls of all those ponies that were brutally killed. "Hello Azalea It's good to finally meet you." "Who are you?!" "My name is Somnium Scriptor Mortem but you can call me Somnium for short. I bet you are wondering what I am but right now that isn't important." "Why did you kill all those innocent ponies?!" I always felt like I was different from the others. While the others abducted ponies just to get love, I freed any I could find. It just felt wrong. Every other changeling thought otherwise and ridiculed me. I might have been because I didn't have any friends. Well... I did have one friend. We both didn't have names due to the queen not naming us. The hive was just empty minus a few remaining nymphs. I tried to chat but with no avail. I had decided that this wasn't the place for me. Every other changeling in the hive had a heart of black. How was I supposed to fit in. As I exited the hive for the first time I had gotten a chill. Everything was dead. There was no plant life. No living creatures besides me. I was alone. I continued across the badlands until I reached a small town with griffons. I decided to enter. I had to get away from the hive. OutcastView OnlineA Changeling Through EquestriaOutcastAs I approached the village I heard a scream... Probably not my best idea to go here undisguised. Why couldn't I just get disguising down. Even the littlest nymphs could do basic transformations, and yet I couldn't even come close. I looked around and to my surprise the scream wasn't directed at me. "Robber!" a griffin said. I couldn't just stand there so I immediately rushed in and lunged at the robber. We both tumbled and then he was right over me with his eyes all wide. He immediately dropped the purse and ran. I went to return the wallet to her and she screamed at me. "Wait this belongs to you!" I yelled. She then went into her house then wouldn't come out. I had then decided to return it. I attempted to open the door but it was locked. I decided to go to the police to report the robber. I walked in there as calmly as I could to report it. When I was about to talk to them they pulled a gun out of... where did they pull it out of their hair? Anyways they were about to shoot me but then I used a protection spell which Queen Chrysalis taught every nymph when they hatched. The bullet shattered the shield and that's when I had decided that maybe I should just get out of here. As I ran I kept hearing all the griffins around me saying things such as; "Die monster you don't belong in this world" and others like "First they come to steal our love what's next? our life?" Everywhere I ran I kept hearing all of these hateful thoughts and could feel every single bit of this negative energy. "Great... now I am an outcast here." I tried to fly away but the police shot my wing as I flew up. I was grounded. I finally got out of the town. As I got out one of the officers said "And stay out you filthy monster!" I tried to do a good deed and I ended up shot and wounded. If only they would just look at what's on the inside rather then what is on the out. I continued towards the Macintosh Hills. As I came upon it I heard an earth shattering boom up in the sky. A bunch of changelings were flung in every direction. I continued to go through it and I saw an absolutely massive mountain on both sides.

They were soothing and caring in contrast to the acrid and apoplectic nature of the griffins I had seen before. I tried to move but I couldn't. I had felt as if my chitin broke apart from the fall that had come from that rainbow. Wait how does a rainbow break rock? Maybe it was the sound from it or maybe it was magic like everything else around here. I took a good look around to see that I was in a home. I had a very strong feeling of trepidation. Why would they take a changeling in if it weren't for malice or vindictiveness. I didn't have any more time to ask questions as then a nanny mountain goat had come to me. I had a very strong feeling of perturbation at the moment. "Hello there" the nanny said. I froze. What would I say? what could I say? I had to remember that first impressions were everything. I attempted to say hello back to her but nothing came out. The nanny"It's okay theres no reason to be afraid of me. What is your name?" I said "I don't have a name the queen never named me." "Awww you can't go around nameless. Everyone deserves a name." "But what could my name be?" "We can think of a name later dear you must be starving." I then realized that I hadn't eaten in who knows how long and I couldn't just steal their love. She brought me a warm bowl of soup which I happily drank up. The Nanny said "Would you like some more?." "No thanks, I don't need anymore right now. I do have a question though. a Why are you being so kind to me? don't you think of changelings like cold ruthless beasts who steal love?" "I think that everyone deserves to be shown a little kindness as it doesn't matter what they look on the outside. It just matters what's on the inside." With all of that love my wounds from falling had healed and I felt good as new. "Thank you umm... what's your name?" "You me Lauren dear. I thought of a name for you recently." "What is it?" "Do you like the name Azalea?" Author's Note Well I had writers block for a little while and one spiteful comment later I am still going. I will eventually go into why Azalea decided to become good but that will be for a later chapter Just in case you're wondering a nanny is a female goat. As the twilight turned into the night I had entered it. I looked around and the place was huge! I walked forward and I saw what appeared to be history of Celestia and Luna. This whole place was like a museum. I continued on and I realized how dark it was. I used a basic illumination spell that the queen taught us back in nymph school. As the place lit up many passages seemed to open. I decided to take a left and I found a place filled from floor to ceiling with books. "I guess this must be the library." I glared at myself. "I have got to stop talking to myself. Okay time to start to stop talking to myself starting.... now." I woke up out of the argument with myself and decided to read a book to help myself sleep. I looked upon a book that might do the trick and I found a big dusty history book. I pulled it and I heard a shifting. Then I suddenly felt lighter for some reason. It was kinda weird. It was the feeling that you were in... the... air... I looked down and then I fell. I sometimes don't get logic here. I fell for a few seconds and I tried to flap my forewings as fast as I could. I started to slow down and then I finally hit the bottom of wherever I was. I illuminated the area around me and I saw that I was in a corridor surrounded by pony statues. I continued forward and I got to the castle gardens? I saw what seemed to be trees and a bunch of moss along with some toppled columns and I was careful not to touch anything for it might crush me. I looked around for a door to enter and there was one above me where I couldn't reach it. I went up and did parkour that was actually pathetic. I fell a few times and the walls kissed me so many times. After who knows how many times I finally made it to the door. I entered a massive room with staircases on both sides of the room with another entrance on the bottom. I looked up and saw 2 thrones along with Celestia and Luna on a banner. I walked up the stairs and looked at the room left of the thrones. There I found the most glorious sight. I found a bed finally! Even though I barely know the layout of that place it still feels like home. I continued along and passed through some blue flowers along the way to the castle. Well it isn't the hive but it will have to do. I found the grand bedroom and headed back to dreamland once more.
