It's taken me a miracle to even get this far! I mean, everypony at school has at least one parent they can talk about! Diamond Tiara talks non-stop about her father and his business. I don't know what happened to her mother, but someponies say that she ran off to Manehatten after Diamond Tiara was born and changed her name to something like... Suri Polomare or something like that. I don't really know and I don't really care. She's a jerk. Always has been. She had me running the presses throughout the night as Gabby Gums columns were being created. Everypony else got to go home after their jobs were done, but not me.
"We need at least 50 extra copies, Shady! We can't let the public down!" She would say in her sing-song, obnoxious voice. Then she would leave and I would stay.
Oh, well. No use drowning yourself in the past. Not in that case at least.
Anywho, Feather Weight is the new editor in chief now. He's my best friend! My only friend, really. All the other pegasus colts go off with other pegasus colts flying while I'm stuck down here on the ground. I don't mind, though. Being an earth pony has its advantages. I'm certainly stronger than Feather Weight since I've had to move the printing press to different areas, but...
