The day was drawing near sunset as the ponies of Ponyville were enjoying a cozy mid winter’s day. The ground had several inches of snow, and many trees and buildings had their share of crystal clear icicles for the season.
Rarity was in the market looking over the various goods on display at the stalls by the fine ponies of the town. Today the white unicorn was wearing only a scarf as she trotted about. The young mare found the sharp bite in the air rather pleasant this time of year.
As she is making her way out of the market, she stopped dead in her tracks as she noticed a terrifyingly pleasant sensation slowly spreading throughout mind and body. “Oh no… not now.” She felt her mare lips, hidden just beneath her perfectly curled purple tail, growing ever so slightly warm, and puffy.
Her heat cycle had just begun.
“I swear, you’re always trying to work against me...” Rarity whined at her own body as she turned around and began her journey home. “Now I have to go all the way home, draw a cold bath and then wait to cool off… Why couldn’t I be normal and deal with this in the summer like every other mare alive?”
As she snaked her way back through the market the way she came, she noticed many stallions and the few odd mares sniffing the air for that most unmistakable of scents.
“Nonononono…” she muttered under her breath as she could feel the first drop of her arousal slowly run down her thigh.
As she was making her way across town looking making a beeline to her home, she glanced to the side, spotting Ponyville park. More precisely, she spotted one of the many park benches covered in a rich layer of ice.
Ah-hah! That was when she got an ingenious idea. She knew immediately what to do, she quickly trotted over and gave the snow on the bench a light dusting with her tail before flicking it to the side and then slowly, ever so slowly she sat her round little rump on the frozen bench, making sure her dripping marehood was pressed firmly into the frozen wood.
“Ahh hah…” she moaned aloud as she made contact with the bench, as she did her little button winked out and pressed into the coldness, shocking her nerves.
“Oh my… this is far too pleasant,” the white unicorn commented as she gently ground her hips into the icy surface. Doing this did have a side effect though.
As she ground her hips in small circular movements, the stimulation to her nethers was causing her flower to drip heavily with nectar.
Oh yes. This was good, oh so good. The perfect end to a pleasant day.

Drat. She was either going to freeze to death, or have to live with a hideously scarred labia for the rest of her life.
Oh well… at least I went out while I’m still young and beautiful. the fashionista thought to herself as she felt her the chill of the night air begin to pull the life from her extremities.
She calmly looked up at the stars as the cold and numbness slowly moved up her limbs to her body, then slowly but surely she she began to die, and just as she felt her heart freeze, she looked forward and smirked, And ironically, smokin’ hot.

“Ack! I’m up! I’m up!” Twilight cried aloud as she was unceremoniously dragged out of bed and dropped onto the floor, “Geeze...” she hissed rubber her bruised muzzle.
“Twi! Problem! Rarity! She’s… she’s...” Spike slumped to the floor and began to cry.
Twilight was up in a literal flash. “Spike, speak to me, what’s wrong with Rarity?”
“She’s…” He trails of too quiet for her to hear.
“Yes?” Twilight asks gently.
“She’s dead.” Spike said with a sigh, as if he only just realized what it meant.
“S-she’s…?” Twilight starts to repeat, “Oh no...”
Five minutes later Twilight, Spike and the rest of the mane six stood around Rarity’s frozen form. She still looked as if she is only taking a nap, with a calm, playful smirk on her lips. Accept that her eyes were open and staring blankly into the distance.
Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie were both deathly silent, softly hugging one another as they stared at their friend and wept quietly.
Applejack was holding her hat to her chest and the ever prideful Rainbow Dash was hiding her face from her live friends.
Twilight silently stared for a long while, then suddenly, she perked up as an idea struck her.
Taking a step forward to get closer to the frozen corpse, the lavender alicorn lit her horn and let a nearly nonexistent wave of magic wash over Rarity’s body. “Stupid alicorn of friendship...” the princess berated herself.
“Hmm? Wha’s that sugarcube?” Applejack asked with tears in her eyes.
“I said ’I’m such a stupid alicorn’.” to which her friends were all taken aback.
“What do you mean? You’re the biggest egghead in the world!” Spat Rainbow Dash with definatly not puffy red eyes..
“I know! Isn’t this great?” to which all of her living friends gave each other perplexed looks and shrugs as Twilight lit her horn and touched it to Rarity’s, causing the icicle that formed at the tip to melt as a wave of heat swept through the marecicle and rapidly thawed her skin and muscle.
To everypony’s shock and awe, including Twilight, Rarity slowly stretched her arms up and gave a long yawn, “Mmm, darling, whatever it is you’re doing, do keep-” She stopped speaking as she remembered what had happened only seconds ago, no wait, its bright, “Oh dear, I don’t suppose this is what the afterlife looks like, is it?”
“Rarity!” all of her friends said at once before tackling her in a big hug.
