Fairytales are just that. The real word isn't a place where dreams come true, and the world lives in peace. No, the world is full of horrible things, horrible creatures, and horrible actions. Celestia knew this, and sought to create a nation that would embody the aspects of a fairytales world. And for many years, she believed that she'd done just that… but she was wrong. In the aftermath of the changeling invasion, Celestia sees just how wrong she was, and sees her ponies in a completely different light.

While this is happening, the entire Changeling race is practically erased after a counter-attack against the Changelings' Hive. With only a handful of changelings remaining, it is up to Chrysalis' only daughter to lead the remainder of her kind to both free her mother, and the rest of the captured Changeling's.

Dark will become light, the line between monster and angel will be blurred, and the real monsters will show their faces.
