So, tell me little pony, what would you do if you figured out your coltfriend was seeing another mare? To Rainbow dash, this was an insult to her, after all she did for Soarin. It was quite difficult to be in a relationship with a stallion so... dense, but she made it work. True, he wasn't the most smart, the most brave, not even the most handsome, but she saw something in him. Rainbow Dash was quite content with her life at this point, no trouble for the elements to intervene, now a Wonderbolt, and a coltfriend to match. She did feel uncomfortable when Spitfire seemed to flirt with Soarin, but she always said it was fun and games. Well, imagine Dash's surprise when those simple fun and games were her captain and her coltfriend seeing each other behind her back. A very heated argument followed suit as Dash was practically in tears, yelling at her coltfriend for this betrayal. Soarin's only excuse was this.
"She's hot."
That allowed Dash to slap Soarin in the face. Spitfire came next though and she surely wasn't ashamed of what she did. Spitfire always had a thing for Soarin, so when Rainbow came in and "stole" him, she wanted some good ol' revenge. She told it like it was, she liked Soarin and she would be willing to kill for him. All lot of mares would actually, having a stallion is a great honor to them. Rainbow and Spitfire both want children, and what better father for their children then the talented (yet dumb) Soarin. Rainbow was mad at Soarin, but Spitfire held the main place for her rage. She was the mare that Rainbow looked up to, the mare she strive to be. However, Rainbow hated parents who cheated... like her mother. Rainbow Dash didn't know what to think, her idol had stolen her coltfriend from her. A heated argument played out between the two, while Soarin was waiting for somepony to have "fun" with. A few curses were exchanged at the end, until Spitfire said something that made Rainbow's blood boil.
"I dont understand the big deal, cant you go off and fool around with that yellow mare, she seems like a fellow fillyfooler for you."
That was the final straw, Dash punched Spitfire clean in the muzzle. Spitfire cloapsed on a sofa behind her at took in what just happened. Soarin, finally coming out of his senses after imagining a "sponge bath", put himself infornt of Rainbow to try to calm her down. Rainbow wasn't having it, pushing her way through the stallion to punish the golden yellow mare. When she approached her, she was greeted with a back leg to the face by Spitfire. Rainbow was bleeding by the muzzle, but still stood her ground. Spitfire flew up and tackled Rainbow Dash to the ground. She started punching her repeatedly in the face, knocking out a few teeth from Rainbow's mouth.
Soarin tried to peel off Spitfire from Rainbow Dash, but was swiftly kicked in the face by her. Rainbow flew off of from under Spitfire and kicked from behind. The force of the kick was so hard it sent Spitfire through a window. Spitfire had bits of broken bits of glass in her back, a few in her wings as well. Rainbow flew off to clouds to get away from it all, but Spitfire wasnt going to let up, and chased after her. Dash was still bleeding by the mouth, but flew better than Spitfire could in her state. Dash landed on cloud and took in what just happened.
Rainbow thought bad for what she did, she still had some positive feeling inside her for Spitfire. Dash had always been called a fillyfooler her entire life, even her friends thought at one point. She had never had an interest for mares, she only knew one pony who did. Fluttershy had always came to the defense of Rainbow when she was accused of folling with mares, being a fillyfooler herself. Flutter's was a good friend to Rainbow, so hearing her being mocked was a heinous crime. Rainbow tried to calm herself, but somepony was there.
"So, want to keep it up, Rainbow bitch."
Dash was pinned down on the cloud, Spitfire being the assaulter. Spit fire began her original routine, punching Rainbow until she bleed... more this time. Rainbow was slowly losing consciousness, beginning to fade from reality. Rainbow kicked her off of her and began to punch her as well. Spitfire was feeling immense pain, The glass in her back was going in deeper, and now she had a black eye. Rainbow was tired, she couldn't hold on to her self anymore. She collapsed on Spitfire, who was barely conscious herself by this point. Spitfire used the last of her strength to push Dash off of her before she gave out as well. The two mares laid there, barely alive from their encounter of each other. It took awhile before Fleetfoot had found the two unconscious mares and took them to the Cloudsdale hospital. The two weeks they spent their were tartarus for the Wonderbolts team. The team had lost a competition because of the loss of there two best flyers. The two mares would breakout into fights in the hospital, making the staff confide them to their rooms. Poor Soarin had lost the affection of the two mares, but fond some comfort with Fleetfoot now taking him as hers. When the two were finally emitted out of the hospital, they wouldn't speak for a month... causing the Wonderbolts to break in teamwork. Neither mare wanted to quit the team, so the rest of the members would have to put up with the constant negativity in the air. Truly, the Wonderbolts were in deep trouble now, if only General Heartfire saw what had become of her work. Now, two mares were morally disgruntled, which dragged the rest of the populace of Cloudsdale with it.
