The first thing I woke up to was cold wind blowing on my coat.
My eyes jolted open, and my head turned to the other side to try and ignore the wind and get some more sleep. As soon as I turned around, the wind just got stronger. Groaning, I knew I had to close that window sometime this morning.
I yawned, then sat up and looked at my window. It was wide open, the curtains flying everywhere. I got out of my cozy bed, walked over, and closed my window. Now that I was already awake, I made my bed and went into the kitchen, where Tia was sitting, munching on some cereal. There was a bowl across from Tia, so I was guessing that one was mine. I jumped up on the chair, and looked at my big sister.
Whenever Tia is sitting at the table with my bowl of cereal across her means that my school has been canceled for some reason. Was it too cold? I ate a spoonful of my snowy flakes, and took a sip of my orange juice. Sometimes school cancellations can be a bit boring. With nothing else to do, I looked at Tia again.
She was smiling, like something amazing had just happened to her. I was not sure why she was smiling, but I just kept eating my bowl of snowy flakes. After about two minutes of silence, Tia spoke up.
"Luna, did you see something when you woke up?"
"Um, no?" I thought. "Can you give me a hint?"
"It's fun, it's white, and I know you love it."
I looked at Tia, and then my bowl of snowy flakes. Soon, I had my answer.
"Is it my cereal?!"
Tia laughed, but I didn't know why. After she stopped laughing, she took me to the window and pulled the curtains out of my way. When I looked at the outside, I gasped.
Outside the window, was snow. A lot of snow. Snow covered the ground. So much snow had fallen, that I was pretty sure there was no ground anymore. The was snow on the roof, on the streets of Canterlot, and on the ponies that were trying to get the snow off the sidewalks. It was still falling, so that only meant one thing.
I ran to get my winter coat, and I wrapped a cozy scarf around my neck. Once I had my boots on, I ran outside, looking up into the air, snowflakes gently floating down on the ground, or on my nose. I made a snowball, then threw it somewhere. Then, I flopped down, my back against the cold snow. I moved my legs up and down, the snow melting on my fur the moment it touched me. I used my small wings to hover out of the snow, and I saw a snow angel. I made a few more, some kind of messed up by my hooves.
Next, I ran to a new, fresh area of snow and decided to have some fun here. I could make more snow angels, but that made my fur cold and wet. I could build an igloo, but I didn't know how to make one. Finally, I decided to make a snow pony. I have never made a snow pony without Tia, so I was determined to make one by myself this year.
First, I started to gather a bunch of snow in my hooves, then shaped it into a leg. I did two more legs, then I wanted to start on the body of the snow pony.
I made a snowball, then I rolled it around in the snow. Soon, it started to get a bit harder to push, but I didn't need Tia's help this Winter. After twenty minutes of pushing the heavy snowball around, it was as big as me. Happy with my snowpony's body, I worked on it's last leg. Now, there were four pillars of snow, and the body would be placed on top.
Before I put the body on, I went inside and grabbed two buttons, a broom, two carrots, and two flaps of cardboard. With my materials, I ran outside and set them on the ground before going back to my snowball.
Using my magic (and a lot of it), I finally managed to lift the snowball and hang it above the snowpony's legs. I counted down to myself, and when I hit zero, I let go of the snowball.
SPLAT!
I opened my eyes, and I wished I had never opened them. In front of me, was no longer a snowpony, but just a mound of snow. If you looked at it, you would have never guessed it was a snowpony. I slowly approached the mound which was once my snow pony, and scooped some snow up into my hooves. I let it fall, landing on the crisp snow around the former snowpony.
I was determined to make a snowpony, so I started to rebuild the legs. Once they fell again, I was about ready to give up on the snowpony, but I reminded myself that I didn't need Tia's help anymore. I ran towards the snowpony and made the legs again. I gathered some snow in my magic and formed it into a ball shape. Instead of just plopping a huge snowball down, I started building a smaller snowpony.
After ten minutes of making a smaller snowpony, I was smiling at my cold creation. I ran inside, kicked my boots of, and called for Tia. She showed up, and I told her to come and see my snowpony.
Tia, now in her Winter scarf, walked outside with me. I ran to where my snowpony was, and showed Tia my amazing snowpony.
When I showed her the snowpony, it fell over for no reason.
I sat in shock, realizing that my snowpony just fell over not just in front of me, but also in front of Tia. I looked up at Tia, and then I shoved my face in the snow. Soon, I felt a pair of hooves gently pick me up and set me down. I shook some snow off of my muzzle, and looked at Tia. She was over at a crisp, snowy field near our castle, pushing a snowball. She waved towards me, and I waved back, smiling. I ran towards Tia, a smiled plastered on my face.
For the remainder of the day, we spent time in the field, making the perfect snowpony. Tia taught me how to make a snowpony, and with Tia's help, I was finally able to get the body to stay on top of the legs. We also made the head, and gave him eyes, a nose, and scarf. I used the extra carrort for a horn, and the cardboard flaps as wings. Tia and I stood back, admiring our masterpiece. Today, I learned that it's okay to ask an adult for help. I think that lesson was reflected on our snowpony.
And that made it the best looking snowpony ever.

Just a quick little Winter Luna and Tia story. Based kind of on my experiences to try and build a snowpony. (It's not easy.)
