“I told you, that is NOT an appropriate decoration!” Twilight exclaimed.
“Oh come on, what’s the big deal?” Paranoid Twilight asked.
“The big deal? The big deal is that shape!”
“Oh come on! it’s just a--”
“I know what it is!!” Twilight snapped. “Please, for Celestia’s sake, take that down!”
“Fine fine…” Paranoid Twilight groaned taking down her ‘decoration’. “Then what the hell am I supposed to decorate with?”
“Something that’s appropriate for younger fillies and colts.” Twilight sighed going outside to decorate her library tree with ornaments.
Meanwhile inside the library, Para Twilight was pacing the floor thinking of what to use for decoration. “Let’s see… What do fillies and colts like?” She pondered for a bit. “I doubt knives would be the answer to that. In fact the only pony I knew who loved knives with a passion was Pinkamena… I still question whether or not I should have brought her over for Nightmare Night.” She sat on the floor. “Damn it, what do I do!?” She then stopped and looked at a picture. Slowly a smile began to grow on her face. “Perfect!!”
Meanwhile back outside, Twilight was hanging ornaments with her magic while Spike climbed the tree himself and helped with the star on top. “Twilight, are you sure that it’s a good idea for your other self to help with all of this…?”
“It beats having her go out in public.” Twilight said focusing on the decor. “Spike, that star is a bit tilted… a little to the left?” Spike nodded and climbed back up to fix the star. “Oh, that’s a little too much to the left… just a tiny bit to the right?” Spike sighed and kept trying to fix the star like Twilight asked.
“You can fly now you know…” Spike groaned.
“Yes, but I haven’t exactly practiced either. So until then, you’ll just have to get it perfect.”
“Ugh…” Spike groaned again trying to fix it still.
Back in Twilight’s Library…
“Let’s see, there must be some around here somewhere…” Para Twi said looking through a bunch of boxes. “Come on, isn’t there anything other than books in this freaking tree!?”
“Nope!” a high pitched voice said coming from the window behind. When Para Twi looked, it was Pinkie Pie who quickly climbed inside.
“What are you doing here Pinkamena?”
Pinkie was silent for a moment. “I told you, call me Pinkie…” She said in a serious tone.
“Right, Pinkie… What are you doing here?”
“Oh!” Pinkie smiled again. “Well I just came by to drop off some party supplies for later!”
“What kind of supplies…?”
“This kind!” She pulled out her canon and with the pull of the string, the room was instantly decorated on the inside with Hearths Warming decorations. “Oh! and this is for tonight!” she exclaimed pushing a box in front of Para Twi.
“What the hell is this?”
“Fireworks silly!”
“Fireworks…?”
“Yeah! Everypony loves fireworks!”
“Hmmm…” Para Twi pondered opening the box, levitating one of the fireworks. A smile came on her face again. “Do you mind if I use these?”
“I don’t mind! I’ve got plenty with me!” she pulled a sparkler out of her mane and lit it. Para Twi beamed and quickly took the box of fireworks and ran off. Pinkie just shrugged and waved around her sparkler walking out the door.
As she walked out the door, she passed the other Twilight. “Oh hi Twilight!”
“Huh?” Twilight stopped what she was doing and looked at Pinkie. “When did you get here? And for that matter, what were you doing here?”
“Oh just a few minutes ago! I was upstairs talking to your other self.”
“Oh, uh… What did you two talk about?”
“We were just talking about the decorations!” she smiled. “Oh! And I decorated the inside for you with a bunch of Hearths warming decor and balloons!”
“Well that’s very thoughtful of you Pinkie Pie.” Twilight smiled. “Definitely saves me the time and effort…”
“Aw, it was easy peasy!”Pinkie giggled. “I even helped your other self too!”
“Oh? And how in Equestria did you accomplish that?”
“She was looking for decorations that would impress everypony I guess, so I gave her a big box of fireworks!” she beamed.
“Oh that’s--” Twilight’s smile quickly vanished. “Wait, FIREWORKS!?”
“Yup!” Twilight smiled. “Why? Is something wrong?”
“Oh sweet Celestia…!” Twilight exclaimed quickly running toward the door, only to be stopped by her other self coming out herself. “W-what the!? What did you do!?” Where are the fireworks!?”
“They’re all ready to go! I think everypony is going to love this!” Para Twi smiled.
“No! Take it all down NOW!”
“For fuck’s sake Twilight! What do you want me to do about it!? I mean I already lit the main fuse!”
“I want you to-- wait what?” Twilight snapped her head and saw a fuse quickly going toward the inside of her house. “Oh MY GOSH!!” she exclaimed running inside while the fuse quickly headed toward its mark. Another second later, there was a large explosion as Twilight teleported out and screamed holding both Spike and Owlicious. She panted heavily and slowly looked back at the tree… that used to be there. “My… My home… My books, my pictures, my personal belongings!!” she exclaimed falling to the ground. She then furrowed her eyebrows and quickly turned back at her other self.
“Uh… H-Happy Hearths--” Para Twi started.
“Shut up! Just SHUT UP!!” Twilight screamed. “Do you see what you do!?”
“Hey, come on, it was an accident!”
“All you ever do is an accident! It was an accident for you to be here in the first place!” Twilight snapped. Hearing this actually made the other Twilight feel something in her chest. “I’ve tried to be calm, I’ve tried to tolerate you! But this just crosses the line!”
“Twilight, I’m sorr--...” Para Twilight tried to say but was quickly cut off again.
“Sorry? You’re sorry!?” Twilight continued. “Your ‘accident’ nearly killed my friends!!”
“I didn’t mean to…” Para Twilight hung her head down still looking up at Twilight.
“Just… leave…” Twilight closed her eyes and looked away.
“Huh…? But… But I…” Para Twi stammered.
“NOW!!” Twilight screamed.
“Twilight…” Pinkie said at a light tone.
“What…” Twilight turned back… only to find something that she never thought she’d see. “Are you… crying…?” Indeed, Paranoid Twilight was crying. But it didn’t take too long after the question for her to run off. “Wait…!”
“Stay the hell away from me…!” Para Twi exclaimed, running in mid tears.
Twilight just stared with a look of guilt as her ears slowly went down. “What have I done…?”

Para Twi was sitting in the middle of a clearing in the everfree forest, silently crying to herself. “Why the hell did I even come here?...”
“Twilight…!” The real Twilight called out. “Where are you??”
Para Twi just sat quietly trying not to make a sound… tears dripping off her face. “Maybe I should just go back to my hell of a home…” she said to herself hanging her head down as her horn started to glow. But before she could even focus on the spell, there was a hoof placed on her horn. “Huh…?” she looked up to see the real Twilight in front of her, who was also in tears.
“Twilight… I’m so sorry for pushing you away like that.”
“Don’t be, it was my fucking fault in the first place. I’ll just go back home and leave you and your friends to your normal lives…” she backed away trying to focus on the spell again, only to be stopped by Twilight again. She sighed. “What is it that you want from me?” To her surprise however, she could feel two hooves wrap around her. “Huh?...”
“I want you to stay…”
“But, you said--”
“I know what I said, and I’m sorry… It was wrong for me to snap at you like that, when I should’ve known better. You were living in a world completely different from this one. I should have been more tolerant with you and helped you more…”
“Sheesh Twilight… Since when did you act this way towards me? Are you starting to fall for me or something?” She joked.
Twilight was silent for a moment. “Maybe I am…”
“Huh??” Para Twi asked with a small blush appearing on her face. But before she had time to even process a proper reaction, her eyes shrunk as she felt a small peck on her cheek. “W-wha…”
“Happy Hearths Warming…” Twilight smiled. “Now come on… the girls are waiting at Sugarcube Corner.”
“But what about your house?”
“We’ll… figure something out.” Twilight smiled sheepishly.
“Hey Twilight…?” Para Twilight started.
“Yes?” But before she could properly react, she felt the embrace and lips of the pony in front of her… for a few seconds before she stopped.
“Happy Hearths Warming to you too…”
