Requiem

"A long time ago... there was a great chaos brought upon by the mighty Discord. But, two aliacorn sisters defeated him using the Elements of Harmony. Discord was turned to stone, but unknown to the two, an eerie green fog leaked from the statue...

"Many years passed since that day. The two sisters kept Equestria in balance by raising the sun and the moon with their powers. However, one day, the younger sister, Princess Luna, refused to lower the moon so the sun could be raised.

"The two sisters fought, and eventually, Luna was defeated and sealed in the moon. However, she did not leave her sister untouched... Princess Celestia, the older sister, was sealed in a time warp, waiting for the day that she must battle her sister once more..."

"Are you reading those pony-tale books, again?" asked Rainbow Dash as she pounded playfully on the dining room table.

"But these are really cool," replied Scootaloo in protest. "You should give them a try."

Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo were in a small house in Cloudsdale. It was a brilliant morning and Rainbow was on her way to meet Applejack at Sweet Apple Acres.

"Yeah, you keep reading," said Rainbow, mockingly. "But at school, it's Tuesday, and I want to get you there fast before the storm today."

"Stop treating me like a baby, sis. I can fly." (Oh, yeah, in this series, Scootaloo can fly well and Sweetie Belle can use magic well)

“Okay, see ya,” and with that, Rainbow Dash was off.

“I’m so glad you think you can take care of the farm, yourself. But you have school today.”

Applejack and Applebloom were standing in front of the barn. Applejack was on her way to Pinkie Pie’s cafe, reminding Applebloom that she had school.

“But I’m always made fun of by Diamond Tiara. I don’t want to go until I have my cutie mark,” said Applebloom, indicating her blank rear.

“Well, I’m sorry you feel that way, but if you stay with your friends, she might back down, a little.” (I know, you don’t want a hidden lesson in coping with bullies.)

“OK,” sighed Applebloom.

As Applebloom left, Rainbow Dash flew in. “Hey, Applejack,” she said. “Are you ready for Pinkie’s party?”

“Yeah, sure,” replied Applejack. Then, they were off to Sugarcube Corner.

In Canterlot castle, we see a white aliacorn with a flowing rainbow mane and tail in a tube. She seems to be sleeping, but suddenly, her eyes jolt open. “Oh no,” she said with fear in her voice. “She’s back...”

A/N: No, this chapter wasn't spectacularly important to the story. Also, I assumed Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo were sisters, I didn't know they weren't... we'll say they are, in this story (it will fit the plot much later).
