The Lover and The Moon

It was 6 'o clock in the morning and I was tired as hell. I was up really late talking to Luna, but in the between that time I was with her, I felt... weird. something I have never felt since I had my heart crushed by a girl. But how is this possible, how can I be in love with the princess of the night. We're not the same species, I fact, we're not from the same universe. Before I could think about it anymore, I heard a knock at the door.

"Kyle! Can you get that!"

Did I forget to mention I was the only person in my family who wakes up this early. "OK mom!" I went to the front door still in my sleep pants and shirt. I was going to change into some day clothes, but I was really tired. I opened the door and I saw girl about the same age and height as I am standing on my door step, plus she had a crescent moon necklace around her neck, must be for good luck. "Yes?"

"Hi, my name is Amber, me and my family are new here."

"Oh, Hi." her voice sounds familiar, but where have I heard it from? "So, my parents usually invites new people inside my house, so would you like to come in?"

"Sure."

The girl entered my house and I closed the door behind me before making me some juice, "oh, would you like some?"

"Oh, sure" I made a glass of juice for Amber and gave it to her, "Thanks" there was a long pause, both me and her we're standing the quietly, until, "you know, I thought you would recognize me by now."

I looked at the girl and gave her a blank stare, "what do you mean?" The girl placed her juice on the table and walked up to me. She snapped her fingers and a bright light filled the room. My vision was blurry for a few seconds, then I cleared up and I saw the beautiful Luna standing in front of me. "Luna!" with my arms wide open I hugged her with so much joy. "How did you..."

"I had a spell that allowed me to take any form. So I changed myself into a human and I bought the house in front of yours. now we can visit each other when we're home."

when I heard she bought the house in front of mine, I my jaw felt like it unhinged itself from my skull. "how... where did you get the money from? Plus, where did you get the name Amber?"

Luna gave me a little stare and answered my question. "Kyle, I'm a alicorn, anything is possible for me, and to answer your other question, I looked up some good names on the internet."

"Fair point." I said. I turned my head to the clock to see what time it was. "Oh Crap. I got to pack my gear."

Luna looked at the clock and then back at me, "why?"

I stopped and again gave her a blank stare. "I'm not really graduated yet. I still have high school to attend school." I continued to talk as I collected all my gear and packed it in my bag. "I won't be able to see you on weekday mornings."

"Well what if I applied to your high school"

when I heard that sentence come out of the princesses mouth, I dropped everything and turn to the smiling princess in the kitchen. "what did you say?"

"I said, what if I applied to your high school. That way we can always be together."

"Ok, I don't think my school is a good place for you to go." I walked to the Luna and stare straight into her eye's "look, some of the people who go to my school are good people. However there are some of them who can be a bit of a... pain." Luna had a bit of confusion in her eye's "I want you to be safe. I don't want anything to happen to you at my school."

"Kyle don't worry, when I apply, I will stay by your side. That way you don't have to worry about me."

I look straight into her eye's again and she started to give the puppy eye's, why did it have to be the puppy eye's. "Ok I guess you can apply, But just remember what I said."

"And you remember what I said."
