Mender was born a poor orphan who spent 15 years in several foster homes, but on the 16th year he was adopted and Mender attended his first day of public school. On his first day, in Canter-lot high, Mender had a great day. He avoided most people there except for Ty. Ty was picking on him since the teacher told Mender to introduce himself to the class. Speak of the devil. Mender thought to himself. "Hey runt!" Ty called out. "I heard your a pretty fast runner, wanna race?" I wasn't interested in racing until I joined canter-lot's soccer and track teams, but I thought this guy has picked on too many people anyway. "Sure, why not?" I yelled back. Now Ty is not a very slim person, so I know he wont be that fast. Plus, i had been training to get faster my entire life. At the starting line, Ty said that we would start on the count of three. So he started to count, VERY slowly... "ONE!" I wonder if he played any sports... "TWO!" If so he may be a bit of a challenge to outrun. "THREE!" I guess I'll have to sprint just in case... "GO!" At the start, i hang back for about two seconds, just too assume how fast he was, then i started to sprint. We had about 2 miles worth of land to run, since we had to go around the school 5 times. I had already done 3 laps, while Ty was still on his first. Ha! This will be a piece of cake! At the end of our race, Ty was pretty red faced, But somehow he beat me! "How did you beat me?" I asked. "Are you accusing me of cheating you bastard!?" "No! Well actually, Yes! You couldn't of possibly have beat me without cheating!" "BOYS!" Shouted someone in the distance. It was the principal, Mrs. Celestia. "Now, if you want to continue your fight, you have to get off the property!" "Where does the property line end?" Ty asked. I silently wished i could kill him, but he was bigger than me... "The other side of the horse statue Ty." She said back to Ty. I'm guessing Ty was a well known 'Criminal'. "C'mon Runt!" Which I guess was my new nickname. He ran to the statue as fast as he could, while I took my time, walking slowly, But, as I reached the statue Ty punched me as hard as he could in the stomach. "That'll teach you!" I felt the air escape my lungs, and I started to blackout, falling backwards, into a bright white light. I only caught a glimpse before I fell under, but, I could've sworn I saw a horse standing above me... END CHAPTER 1 -MenderBreaker Chapter 3 Pinkie Pie and her friendsUpon arriving at a small bakery, I was confused as to why we didn't go to Pinkie Pie's house. "Dash?" I asked. "I thought we were going to Pinkie's." "We are, this is it" She answered back. It was a small place, judging from the outside, but it looked cozy. Out of nowhere a little pink pony jumped to the door. "Hello! Oh, is this Mender?" She, whom i guess is Pinkie Pie, asked Dash "Yup!" Dash responded. Almost immediately, the little pink pony ran up to me and started shaking my ha- uhh... hooves. "Hi I'm Pinkie Pie!" She said as she shook my hooves nearly 1,000,000 times in two seconds flat. "So I've heard..." I replied. "Well, come on in, before the food gets cold!" Pinkie said, before she vanished, leaving behind a cloud of dust. "Let's go dude!" Dash said before she, well Dashed inside. I smiled. I had just realized I had made a joke, and i loved my jokes, even if they were bad. Somepony came out and asked if I was okay. "Yeah, thanks!" "Sure thing, sugarcube!" The orange pony replied before going back inside. Well, time to meet Dash's friends. I thought to myself. I had some trust issues with Dash before lunch at the restaurant, which is why i hesitated towards the door. But, I went inside anyway. The bakery smelled amazing. Not like one of the bakery's back home, but you could smell the butter, the frosting, the apple cider, which is where Dash was, it was beautiful. Not knowing what to do, I went over to that orange pony that coaxed me to come inside. Her name was AppleJack. AppleJack introduced me to some more of Dash's friends, Rarity, Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle, and Spike, Twilight's 'Assistant' Just like Dash said, Dragons do exist, Spike was one of them! After meeting everypony, I got some cider, and drank some of the godly drink, for I had always loved apple cider. I drank 13 glasses of Cider before the party ended, and we all said our goodbye's. It was 10PM before we started to head to Dash's cloud, upon carrying me up she stated, "Tomorrow, we teach you how to fly like me!" I was pretty worried, but she led me to where I would be sleeping and I fell under as my head hit the pillow. "Goodnight!' Dash called, before turning off the light. I was dreaming about Tomorrow, when I would be flying. End of Chapter 3 -MenderBreaker Chapter 2 The New WorldI had started to wake up, once again seeing that horse. "Hello?" I called out, "Thank you for saving me, but i have to leave now!" "Well you don't have to yell, i'm right in front of you..." "Woah! A talking horse??" "Actually, i'm a pony NOT a horse..." "How can you talk????" I asked demandingly. "Well, that's how us ponies are!" "I am a human not a pony." "Hah! Nice one! Hey i'm Rainbow Dash, and you are?" "Umm.... Mender?" "Are you asking me? Or telling me?" "I'm Mender." "Good can you fly?" she asked. "No, i'm not used to wings..." "Dude, quit it with the jokes..." She saw my blank stare and realized I was serious. "Oh gosh, your serious? Your a Human?" "NO I'm a fire breathing dragon!" "You say that like they don't exist! Lets go, Ill carry you down." It took 5 minutes to get out of her house, because she lived on a cloud! I didn't ask questions because i didn't want to look like an idiot... "So, where to?" She asked the question as if i knew the place. "Oh right, hey i'm starved! Let's go eat something!" I just nodded and we started to walk who knows where. Once we reached the Restaurant, She ordered a salad, and i did as well. "Oh Ms. Dash, I don't have any cash." I said looking down and disappointed in myself. "Dude, first, call me Rainbow Dash, second don't worry, I've got plenty of bits!" Once again, I didn't know what Bits were... "Oh, well thank you Ms.- Uh.. I mean Rainbow Dash." "Two salads?" The waiter called. Dash waved him over and we started eating. It was the best salad I've ever tasted! "Excuse me waiter what is in this salad?" "Oh i'm sorry sir, Do you not like it?" "No, no it's great! I was just wondering that's all." "It has cabbage, Lettuce, Tomato, Hay, and some Dressing" "Oh, wait hay? It's surprisingly good!" When I looked up i realized he had already left, probably to avoid more questions. "So, Mender, what do you remember? I mean, when you got here." "Only this morning..." "Oh well that's not too bad." "So, Dash, where am I gonna sleep?" "For now, my place, but not until later, you gonna eat that?" I handed her my salad, I liked it, but I was full. "Where are we going now?" She had paid for the salads and tipped the waiter before we left, but never told me where we were going.
