I  don't know how it came about, but sometimes I get this feeling. I just can't get rid of it. Not that I want to. It's a feeling I just love and wish I could have every second of every day.

The only problem is I only get it when I'm around him. But everything I say to him just turns to incoherent jibbirish. It's not like he talks much either though. I'm on the farm with him right now in fact. The farm, specifically, is Sweet Apple Acres, and I'm helping the Apple Family with their harvest, seeing as I had nothing else to do.

Applejack's awesome to hang out with and all, but she just doesn't give me the same feeling Big Mac does. If only I could get the courage to talk to him. Why not try now? "Hey Big Mac!" I call "Can I talk to you for a sec?"

"Sure" he said in his deep voice. His voice is really cute I thought. "What's up, Twilight?"

"Well... You see..." I started before a was interuppted by a green smoke swirling down in front of my face. From it, a scroll materialized. I opened it up with my magic and began to read.

"What's it say?" Big Mac asked.

"It's about my brother. He just showed up at my house. I really need to go see what's up. We can talk about this later, right?" I galloped  off without waiting for a response. "Thanks Big Mac. See ya later." I called over my shoulder.

"Sure thing, Twilight" I heard him say I the distance.

Really? Right then? I was just about to do it I thought. Whatever. My brother needs me anyway. I nearly break the door, forgetting to supress my anger. "I'm sorry, Shining." It was then I noticed my brother was crying. "Why are you crying?"

After crying for a while, he's finally able and ready to respond. "It's Cadence..." He chokes out, "she says she doesn't love me any more. I don't know what I could have done wrong. I'm such a bad husband." A fresh wave of tear start to flow from his eyes and he set his muzzle onto my shoulder.

I immediately regret felling annoyed at his timing. There's no way my situation could outweigh this. "It's okay, Shining Armor. You didn't do anything wrong and your not a bad pony. I hate to be rude, but why didn't you go to mom and dad?"

"I couldn't bear to tell the Twily. I thought they'd just get mad at me."

"Well, you can stay here for a while until you're ready to tell them. I'll go get the guest bed set up. Spike, why don't you get him something to drink."

"Sure thing, Twilight. What about Sweet Apple Acres?

I really don't want to say it, but my brother needs me. "They'll just have to wait until tomorrow. I told Big Mac where I was going, and he'll probably tell the others."

After setting up the bed and getting my brother to calm down enough to rest, which proved to be easier said then done, I headed down to the bar to get a drink with Applejack. I had already had Spike send a letter to her. It was the least I could do for bailing on such short notice.

When I got there, Applejack was already at the bar waiting for me. She waved me over and I took the seat next to her. "Hey, sorry for leaving so quickly. Spike sent me a letter saying I needed to get home fast."

"Don't worry about it none, sugar cube. I understand."

"At least let me buy you a drink."

"Ok Twilight." She turned and called, "Hey Berry! Two ciders over here!"

"Sure thing" came the response.

"So, what'd Spike need?"

"Cadence just broke up with my brother. He's taking it really hard."

"I'd imagine so. They just got married not even a year ago."

"Here ya go, girls" Berry Punch said putting the drinks down, "That'll be 6 bits, please"

I threw the bits up on the counter. "Yeah I get it. I probably couldn't stand if I were rejected. I think it's just going to get annoying having to take care of him."

"Yeah... Wait! You got a crush on some pony?"

I paused. The question had shocked me until I realized I had slipped. I still tried to deny it. "What makes you think that?"

"You just said you wouldn't be able to stand it if you got rejected. Who'd ya have in mind?"

She got me. Might as well tell her ow. Not like I could keep it a secret forever. "I like your brother"

Applejack, who was drinking as I said it, almost spit out the the cider in her mouth. "You wanna say that again? I think I might have misheard something."

"You probably didn't. I said I like Big Mac."

"What's stopped you from saying it 'till now? I'm sure he likes ya too."

"I just so nervous. What if he doesn't like me?"

Applejack just laughed at this. "Let me tell you a little secret, sugar cube. He likes ya. All you gotta do is tell him. He's not all that good with the words."

"Yeah, I know. Thanks Applejack."

"No problem. Hey, you coming by the farm tomorrow? We could really use the help."

"Yeah. I'll probably bring my brother, too, if that's okay with you. I he needs his exercise if he's gonna stay in the royal guard."

"Yeah. No problem. The more the merrier."

"Thanks again, Applejack. See you tomorrow."

"See ya later"

By time I got home, My brother was up and walking, and, most importantly, not crying. "Hey, Shining. You wanna come with me down to Sweet Apple Acres to help with the harvest? I thought it would be a good thing to keep up your exercise."

"Sure, Twilight. Your friends gonna be there?"

"Yeah. Why? Is it a problem?"

"No, I'm just a bit nervous about being around a bunch of mares."

"Well, you shouldn't be. They'll be really nice." I let out a huge yawn. "I'm gonna hit the sack early tonight. Good night."

"Good night, Twilight. And thanks again."
