Totally not a Cliche Concept
A New Beginning
Load Full StoryNext ChapterNow, How would you imagine travelling realities would be like? The first misconception people can have is the mode of transport to get to Equestria, or any reality for that matter. Now I am not saying I took a car here, or the train, but most stories mention waking up and being taken to Equestria while they were asleep or when they died or by falling out of the sky. Not me though, I was transported to Equestria in the middle of the day, more precisely, during lunch at school,*sigh* I never got that lunch too. So there I was minding my own business just talking to my friends when I suddenly felt like someone had slammed their fist into the back of my head.- and I know what it feels like when someone slams a fist into the back of my head - My knees buckled and I was almost reduced to tears. And just when I thought that the pain couldn't get any worse I felt like every single atom and molecule in my body were being ripped away from me - I later found out that that's exactly what happened, damn the people around me must have been scared or confused - I knew that I had drawn a crowd around me but I couldn't make out a single word of what they were saying. I saw a familiar blackness envelope all I could see but fate, being the cruel mistress she is wouldn't let me fall into unconsciousness, so I had to endure the pain. I don't know how long I was there clutching my head while on my knees but eventually the pain started to recede enough for me to open my eyes, as my sight slowly started to come back to me I found that I could hear again. But. Something seemed off, I may have not been able to see but the voices I were hearing were not recognizable. And there were a lot more female voices than male.
After an agonizing wait, my vision came back, making me wish it hadn't as I realized I was staring at the sun. When I opened them again my jaw literally dropped at the sight before me. In front of me was the freaking Princess of the Sun.
I immediately tried to get up but found that I was still extremely dizzy and nearly fell to the floor."Ooh, still dizzy." I mumbled. When I regained a stable stance I found that I was just about the same height as Celestia - for any of you that want a height reference - I realized how scared everypony around me must be, so I decided to introduce myself when Celestia made a subtle nod to somepony behind me and one of Celestia's guards tackled me out of nowhere. Yeah not the greatest entrance to Equestria. The guard had tackled me to the ground and knocked the wind out of me so I couldn't speak. Suddenly a large group of guards surrounded me, tied me up, gagged me and threw me in a nearby carriage. All the while I just thought. Isn't this a little excessive?
After an unknown period of time I noticed the carriage had come to a stop so I presumed we had arrived at Canterlot, I mean where else would they take me. A guard opened the door and a few of the others picked me up and carried me to the dungeons. Just before they threw me in there they cut the ropes tying my feet together and then they literally threw me into the cell. when they left the room I sighed against the rope around my mouth and tried to untie it, after a few minutes I had manage to slip them off and started breathing heavily through my mouth. I thought about calling out to the guards but decided against it and hoped that Celestia would want to visit me. So I waited, and waited, and eventually heard some hoofsteps coming from the doorway so I rushed towards the bars of the cell to look at who was coming to see me. And to my surprise and joy I see Celestia enter along with the mane 6. Celestia is the first to talk, but I don't think she was talking to me,"What are you?" She asked herself while examining me."I'm a human from the planet Earth." I answered, I must say, the look on Celestia's face was priceless."Y-y-you can talk?" Celestia asked, I always thought it was funny that I surprised her."Yes, I was about to introduce myself when I arrived but your guards decided to postpone that." I was caught off guard when Fluttershy rushed up to the bars."A-are you hurt? Do you need any help?" Heh, so much for being shy. I thought."Thanks, but you don't need to worry about me, I'm fine." Fluttershy seemed pleased about this and went back to the back of the group.
Suddenly Rainbow Dash flew right up to the bars."What were you doing in Ponyville? How did you get here? Are you a spy?"
I nearly laughed at that last question but I managed to compose myself."To answer your questions, one, I don't know what or where Ponyville is" I swear I saw Applejack glare at me at that moment but I brushed it off as paranoia on my part."but I guess it was the place I landed in when I got here so I don't know how I ended up there. Two, I have absolutely no idea how I got here. And three, no." I looked over the ponies in front of me to. Twilight was mumbling to herself about how much she could learn, Rainbow Dash was eyeing me suspiciously, I couldn't blame her I mean how would you react if some alien materialized inside of your town. Applejack was glaring daggers at me and if looks could kill, I don't think I would have had much time left to enjoy the fact I'm in Equestria. Fluttershy had gone back to cowering behind her mane after she checked up on me. Pinkie was being... Well Pinkie. And Rarity was predictably eyeing up my school uniform. I finally looked back to Celestia who had re-engaged her poker face, - I mean how does she manage to do that? How can you keep a straight face while talking to a complete unknown? but, I digress -
"Sorry I haven't introduced myself yet have I? My name is Conner Sweet, and if the circumstances were better I'm sure it would be a pleasure to meet you." Celestia looked at me with that unreadable face still on."Well Conner, I think we will need to sort out a place for you to stay, so you will stay with my student Twilight Sparkle who will send me reports on your actions and whether or not we can trust you." I will admit those words stung a bit but I stayed optimistic in hopes that they would trust me eventually."Okay fair enough." I said.
"I shall arrange a train to take you and my student and her friends back to Ponyville where they can show you where you will live for the time being. Understand?"
"Yes, but one question."
"What is it?"
"Can you take these ropes off me?"
