The chicken and the dragon

         Scootaloo arrived at school. The rest of the crusaders were sick at home while the younger filly went to school. She took a front seat in the classroom, barely listening to a lecture that Miss. Cherilee was saying. Her head dropped to her desk, bored as ever.

        She just wanted the day to be over, missing her friends. Her head suddenly popped up in excitement. The young filly just remembered she was meeting with Rainbow Dash at sugar cube corner today.  Scootaloo attempted to contain her excitement.

       Recess finally came. Scootaloo basically jumped out of her seat as she ran to the playground, only to meet the two bullies of the school. Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon cornered Scootaloo against a wall.

    "Well isn't it the Pegasus who can't fly?" Diamond Tiara taunted. Silver spoon laughed evilly , a grin on her face.

    "Also known as the blank flank!" She added.

   "I can too fly!" Scootaloo protested.

    "Prove it" Silver Spoon said simply. "I will!" The young filly yelled back. A smile slowly crept onto Diamond Tiara's face as the young Pegasus attempted to fly. Key word, attempted. Scootaloo's wings began to flap really hard. She only got a few inches off the ground before she face planted.

    "Face it, everybody has their cutie mark and every Pegasus can fly!" Diamond Tiara spat. "Your just a waste of space!"

     "Even Bulk Biceps can fly higher than you!" Silver Spoon added.

    Scootaloo began to shrink. Without her fellow crusaders to stand up to her she was helpless. A crowd of school ponies gathered around the three. Scootaloo whimpered.

    Twighlight started her studies early in the morning as usual. "Spike!" She called out.

     The baby dragon ran down the steps. "Yes Twighlight?" He asked.

     "I'll be gone for most of the day and I need you to finish these chores" She handed her a assistant a pretty short list, containing only a few chores.

      "Okay!" Spike replied. The mare left, but before she left she said her goodbyes.

     The dragon began to read the chores out loud. "Dust the library, re-shelve the books and pick up some new quills, that should be easy!" Spike picked up a dust and began his task.

     He finished dusting the library and bag  to re-shelve the books. He looked at all the books and knew exactly were every single one went.

     He finished re-shelving the books. "Time to get some quills!" Spike said. The dragon walked out of the library and too the sofa and quills shop. He picked up a few  new quills from the sofa clerk.

    The whole ground seemed to shake as Rainbow Dash crashed into the library. All the newly re-shelved books were now on the floor. She got up slowly and rubbed her head.

     Spike walked into the library and his eyes went wide. Twighlight would be back soon and the library was trashed. "Oh uh sorry Spike, I guess when I was practicing I crashed into the library." Rainbow dash said in her boyish voice.

    "It's ok" Spike sighed knowing her would have to re-shelve the whole library. Rainbow dash gasped as she shot up from the pile of books.

      "Spike I would stay and help but I gotta meet up with Scootaloo! See ya!" She yelled as she flew out of the window that she crashed through. The baby dragon sighed and began his task.

      Scootaloo raced on her scooter to Sugar Cube Corner, glad the day was over. Her wind blew her through mane as she raced  towards the sweet shop. The young filly halted to a stop and ran inside.

     Her idol awaited at a table when she got there. "Hey squirt!" The blue Pegasus said.

    "Rainbow dash!" The younger filly yelled. They talked for a while about the Wonderbolts and flying. They ate a few cupcakes. Then RD brung up school.

    "So what's going on at school?" She asked the dreaded question.

    "You know... Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara are bothering me again..." Scootaloo trailed off.

   "What did they say?' She asked.

    "They said I'd never fly nor would I get my cutie mark.. They called me worthless" The younger filly said, her eyes filling with tears.

     "You are so not worthless!" Rainbow Dash shouted. "You'll learn to fly and you'll totally get your cutie mark!"

    " I don't know Rainbow, I don't think I'll ever fly, let alone get my cutie mark." She whimpered.

    "Come on squirt! Don't listen to them!" Rainbow dash said trying to cheer the filly up.

    Scootaloo's eyes filled with more tears. "You don't understand!" Scoots yelled.

   The mare was a little takin back. "Scoots.." She started off.

    "No! You'll never understand what it will be like to never fly! To only be the only Pegasus that can't fly!" Scootaloo screamed. "Or what it's like to be bullied everyday because your a blank flank!" She stormed out of Sugar Cube Corner and hopped on her scooter. She raced into the everfree forest, tears coming down her face like a water fall. Sobbing uncontrollably she jumped off her scooter once she got to a clearing. She laid on the ground as she cried. "I'll never fly.." She said in between sobs.

    Twighlight walked through the door of the library. Her eyes widened to see every book except two or three on the floor, and Spike in the middle of the pile.

     "Spike!" She bellowed.

     "Twi-" her got cut off.

      "I told you to re-shelve the library! Not make a huge mess!" She screamed.

      "Twighlight" he barely got the word out.

       "I ask you a few simple things and you can't even finish them, all you did was make a big mess! How am I supposed count on you for larger problems if you can't even complete a few simple tasks!" She screamed.

     Spike lifted a claw in protest. "Twighli-" He started off.

    " I can't believe you Sp-" but this time it was Twighlight that got cut off.

   "No Twighlight!" He yelled. "I've had it with you treating me like a slave!" He yelled

    Now it was twighlight so turn to get Spikes attention. "Sp-"

   " Ididn't even make this mess! I've spent all day dusting and re-shelving! All day! And this is my reward?" Spike yelled.

   "Spi-" The mare said.

    "I've had it!"

    Spike stormed out the door. He ran angrily towards the everfree forest, mimicking Twighlight under his breath.
