A Not So Lonely Christmas
On the first day of Christmas....
Bulls eye leans back on the couch, watching as Sunset Shimmer bustles around the apartment packing clothes and other various items into her suitcase.
"So tell me again....why exactly don't you want me to meet your family?" Bulls eye asks curiously as she packs three different hair brushes into her suitcase.
"I didn't say that I didn't want you to meet them It's just that........" She pauses and turns to him." You'll get to meet them someday, I promise." She says before going back to pack a hair dryer.
"Is all that stuff really necessary?" Bulls eye asks as he watches her stuff a hair curler into the suitcase.
"HOW CAN YOU EVEN ASK THAT?!" She says angrily as she stuffs in three more brushes.
Bulls eye rolls his eyes, stands up and walks to the window. There was supposed to a heavy blizzard coming in the afternoon and judging by the heavily falling flakes of white it was already moving into the area.
"You'd better get going...." Bulls eye says turning to her. She already had her suit case ready and her purse around her shoulder.
"You sure you are going to be okay alone for Christmas? Can't you stay with your dad?" She asks with concerned tone.
"I told you once we were done with high school I was moving out." He says." I never want to talk to that bum again let alone see him." He finishes angrily.
"Alright...." She says. She turns and walks to the door. Her hand hovers over the door knob. She sighs and walks over to Bulls eye who had sat back down on the couch. She leans down and kisses him on the cheek." Bye." She says before picking up her suit case and walking out the door.
Bulls eye leans back and looks around the room. He knew what loneliness was but now it was more prominent than it had ever been before. He sighs and leans his head back to stare at the ceiling." Merry Christmas....Merry my ass." He says. Bulls eye spend the next few hours lolling around the apartment desperately trying to find away to beat the loneliness he felt but nothing worked. He gave up trying and walked back into the living room. Outside the wind was howling and the windows trembled as snow was blasted against it. Bulls eye walks over to the window and stares out into the street thinking of Sunset Shimmer. They had ben together for two years now but it seemed like they were slowly and inevitably being torn apart. He remembers their first kiss and the very first date they went on. Things would never be the same and Bulls eye had come to accept it. Bulls eye sighs and walks around the apartment trying desperately to get the heavy feeling of loneliness off of himself. He spent the whole morning trying to find something to take his mind off of the fact that a break up with Sunset Shimmer was inevitable and it was simply a matter of when it would happen. Bulls eye gave up and settled down in his chair next to the window and looked out at he raging blizzard battering the glass. He absentmindedly stared out until some human movement brought his attention to the street below. Judging by the hair and skirt it was a girl trying to fight her way through the icy wind. Bulls eye looked up and down the street for anyone who could help her but he saw no one. He groans in frustration and watches as the girl sinks to her knees and falls over on her side. Bulls eye curses and runs to the bed room and grabs his coat his scarf and his beanie. He walks back into the living room and props open the front door before walking out. Bulls eye quickly walks down the stairs and into the deserted lobby. Bulls eye stops at the front door and stares out at the snow covered street and the heavy, chilling winds.
"This girl is going to owe big time!" Bulls eye grumbles before opening the door and walking into the blizzard. Immediately Bulls eye had to shield his face with his arm so he could see in front of him. After searching a short while Bulls eye spots a streak of yellow in the white snow. He clears the snow away from the girls body and grabs her arm and wraps it around his shoulder. At this point she is just dead weight but Bulls eye turns and as quickly as he can stumbles back into the apartment building. Once he arrives at the front door he opens it and stumbles through. Bulls eye has lost feeling in his hands and feet now and can barley stay standing. He walks up the stairs and enters Sunset Shimmers apartment. As he walks through the door his legs start giving way. He struggles to the bedroom where he lays the girl down on the bed. Bulls eye covers her with a heating blanket Sunset Shimmer kept in the closet and he stumbles back into the living room and collapses on the couch. Bulls eye awakens a short time later to find the couch soaked with melted snow. He sighs and walks into the bedroom where he finds the rainbow haired girl sleeping peacefully. The bed is completely soaked as well.
"She is going to owe me for this." He repeats to himself. He takes off his coat, scarf and beanie and puts them away in their proper places. He walks back into the living room and turns on the TV. He flips through the channels until he comes to the local weather station.
"ACORDING TO RECENT REPORTS FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER STATION THIS BLIZZARD WONT BE LEAVING THE AREA FOR AT LEAST FIVE DAYS. WE ADVISE YOU TO STAY INDOORS AT ALL TIMES AND DO NOT LEAVE YOUR HMES UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCS AT ALL!" The blonde weather girl yells over the howling wind.
Bulls eye curses and turns off the TV. He stands up and walks into the bed room. He leans against the doorway and watches her sleep." Looks like I'm stuck with you for a while...." He says before walking back into the living room and falling asleep on the couch.
