Chapters Twilight Joins Flash Drive
"I'm staring to think she's not coming." Rainbow Dash said as she fiddled around with her soccer ball
"I don't understand, it should've worked." Sunset said
"Come on girls no point in staying around here." Rainbow said as she got up
"What?!" Sunset said, "But what if Celestia did get the message and it's just taking-"
"Sunset." Rarity interupted, "If she did get the message than Twilight would've been here by now."
"Hate ta say it, but Rarity's right." Applejack said
With a sigh Sunset got up with the others.
"I guess you're right." Sunset said in defeat, "I guess this was all just pointless."
"Come on lets go to Sugar Cube Corner, we can discuss more over there." Rainbow said passing by Sunset
Sunset and the others followed her and then they were gone. However, the entrance to the school opened up to show Flash Sentry, bass player Ringo, and drummer Brawly Beats as they headed to the statue.
"Flash for the last time, why are we spying on them?" Ringo asked
"I want to know why they always hang out around the statue." Flash said, "Something's just off about it."
"Um, maybe because it's normal for girls to do that." Ringo said sarcastically
"Still." Flash said as he got a little to close to the portal, "Why though?"
"Incoming!"
"Huh?" Flash said, "Uh did you guys hear something?"
"Mhm." Brawly said
"Uh nope." Ringo added
"Then what-"
Flash was cut off as something big and heavy knocked into him and tumbled him over to Ringo and Brawly.
"Ugh, who threw that?" Flash said weakly
"Um sorry?"
Flash's eyes widened as he looked to see Twilight of all people on top of him.
"Twilight?!" Flash asked in amazement
Twilight looked to see Flash and she nervously giggled as she and Flash got off of each other and up.
"Bumped, into, always, doing." Twilight said nervously fumbling around with her vocabulary
"What are you doing here?" Flash asked keeping a smile, "You came back for the big competition didn't you?"
"Um kinda?" Twilight said with a shrug
"Not that there will be any competition, no one wants this more than us, right boys?" Flash said to his band mates
"Yeah!" They cheered
"That's, great." Twilight said with a nervous chuckle
"And I was actually wondering, if you weren't already part of someones band, wanna join mine?" Flash asked, "We need a singer and I was thinking of adding you in. So what do ya say?"
"*Gasp* that would be lovely!" Twilight said as she hugged Flash
"Welcome to Flash Drive then Twilight." Flash said
"Flash Drive?!" Twilight said before laughing a little "That's the most ridiculous name I've ever heard of!"
"Eh, we were out of ideas." Brawly admited
"Lets just go inside." Flash said as Twilight took his hand making him blush some
Meanwhile the Rainbooms had just came back from a little to go order at Sugar Cube Corner with Sunset carrying a bag to prove it.
"Alright we need to get to the gym." Sunset said, "A pre-battle of the bands auditioning party will be starting in about four minutes so we need to get there before the Dazzlings do."
"Right." Rarity said, "We can just simply try again at contacting Twilight later."
"Hopefully if there is a next time." Sunset moaned
"Just a quick question." Pinkie said
"What is it?" Sunset asked
"Who ordered the FlashLight?" Pinkie said pointing to the portal
What the group saw next made their jaws drop and gasp. Twilight was with Flash and his band and from the looks of their mouth movements Flash offered Twilight a position in his band and she accepted. The group then death stared at Rainbow with some of them growling.
"What?" Rainbow said
"That was your fault!" Applejack stated, "If ya had just waited that would've been us talkin' to 'er!"
"Hey you and Rarity agreed with me!" Rainbow stated
"Only because ya were impatient!" Applejack said
"Was not!" Rainbow argued
"Was too!" Applejack countered
"Girls!" Sunset interrupted, "Twilight and Flash Drive's going into the building!"
"Let's follow them." Rainbow said
"Right come on girls lets go." Sunset said as she ran towards the school and the others followed behind
Also at the same time Spike finally awoke after coming out of the portal.
"Ugh, what happened?" Spike said as he rubbed his head
Spike then saw the humane 5 plus Sunset go into the building and then ran after them.
"HEY WAIT FOR ME!" Spike shouted as he ran in after them
However, unknown to them a certain orange headed siren watched through a window as the groups made their way inside.
"Did you see that?" Adagio said to Aria and Sonata
"Um, maybe?" Sonata said
"That human came through that statue like it was a portal!" Adagio said
"So what?" Aria groaned
"Keep your eyes on that one girls." Adagio said, "I have a feeling that she's not like everyone else here at this school."
"Really? Is it because she's not from this world?" Sonata asked
"Ugh! Sonata you really are the worst, what in the world makes you think that she's from another world!" Aria complained
"I don't know." Sonata said, "I just find it weird that a human falls through a statue like it's a mirror or something."
Adagio's eyes then sparked with with her brain as she realized Sonata MIGHT be onto something.
"Seriously." Aria groaned again, "You really are-"
"Wait a second!" Adagio said, "Sonata might be onto something."
Both Aria and Sonata then got looks of confusion.
"Really?" they both said together
"Yes." Adagio said with a smirk, "Come on girls, the party's about to start."
"I hope they like the punch!" Sonata said with excitement as the three left
"I have a feeling that if we can keep her away from the Rainbooms long enough, she'll forget about why she came here, keep siding with Flash Drive, and won't even bother to help them." Adagio stated, "It's perfect!"
Twilight Joins Flash Drive
When Flash Sentry, Ringo, Brawly Beats, and Twilight entered Flash then went over to his locker losing Twilight's grip as he pulled out a wrapped box and his guitar which he then put around his back.
"What's with the present?" Ringo, Brawly Beats, and Twilight said at the same time as Flash went back over to them
"Um, Twilight, this is for you." Flash said nervously as he handed Twilight the box
"What's inside?" Twilight asked as she took it
"Where's the surprise in that?" Flash said
Twilight just giggled a little as she opened it to reveal...
"It-it's!"
Twilight had no words as she held in her hand a purple leather jacket with a lighter purple and pink stripes going around the arms and the jacket. It looked almost like Flash's only more shaped for her to where.
"Um, I custom ordered it with the help of my uncle, I didn't know your size so I took a guess." Flash said nervously as he placed a hand behind his head with a look of embarrassment on his face
Twilight then laughed a little and proceeded to put one arm into each sleeve and then pulled the jacket up to find it at the right size.
"It's perfect." Twilight said to Flash
Flash then let out a sigh of relief as in his eyes Twilight glimmered with light as she wore the jacket.
"Come on, let's get to the gym." Flash said as Twilight took his hand again as they left
Unknown to them The Rainbooms were watching what was going on.
"Come on let's follow them." Rainbow said
The group then nodded as they followed slowly behind Flash Drive being careful so they wouldn't get themselves noticed. What seemed like hours as the two groups finally made it to the gym to find it nearly full. Flash Drive then positioned themselves over by the stage after Flash and Twilight grabbed some punch. The Rainbooms however positioned themselves over by the tables that had the snacks.
"I'm going over to Twilight to see if we can get her over here." Sunset said to the rest of the group as she placed the coffee bag down and looked down a little
"Be careful Sunset!" Rarity said as Sunset left
Meanwhile Flash was having a bit of an argument with Snips. Twilight then looked at Flash as it looked like he was about to punch him.
"Agh! I'm gonna get more punch!" Flash said as he grabbed his empty cup
As Flash was walking he looked at Twilight with a smile which made her blush some. All of a sudden Flash slammed into someone which made him stumble a bit to see Sunset was the one he slammed into.
"Watch where you're going!" Flash said spitefully as he picked his cup back up
"Sorry." Sunset squeaked a little as Flash walked by
Sunset then looked at Flash one last time before going over to Twilight and the rest of Flash Drive.
"What?!" Sunset heard Twilight say, "How dare you say that about Flash!"
"Um Twilight?" Sunset said to Twilight who was fighting one of the members of the techie band I'm > U
"But it's true." Atomic Adam said with a sly grin of confidence, "Flash will lose within the first round hands down because he is the worst person ever."
"You wanna insult him you'll have to go through me!" Twilight said in defense
Atomic then stuck his tong out at Twilight trying to insult her.
"WHY YOU!" Twilight shouted
"TWILIGHT!" Sunset shouted getting Twilight's attention
"Sunset?!" Twilight said turning around to see Sunset Shimmer
"Look I-"
"I thought you said you'd be waiting for me!" Twilight stated
"Rainbow Dash convinced us to leave!" Sunset stated
"Didn't you think of trying to convince her otherwise!" Twilight pointed out
"Um, well, no, kinda?" Sunset confessed with a bit of a blush
"Seriously!" Twilight stated
While they were doing that Rainbow had noticed the Dazzlings come into the gym. She then took a chocolate chip from a cookie pinkie was about to eat and threw it at Sunset making it land in her hair which made her put a hand behind her throwing it off and making her look behind her to Rainbow Dash. Rainbow then pointed at the gym door where Sunset saw the Dazzlings and with no choice grabbed Twilight's wrist.
"Sunset?" Twilight said before getting pulled some, "What are you doing?!"
Adagio was looking at the fact that everyone was fighting in someway shape or form. But then she looked at Twilight to see Sunset pulling her by the wrist and immediately got a evil smirk.
"Flash! Flash!" Adagio sounded pretending to be frightened, "Sunset's kidnapping Twilight!"
Flash then turned around to see Sunset pulling Twilight over to the Rainbooms.
"TWILIGHT!" Flash shouted in a panic as he handed his drink over to Ringo who took it
Flash then ran over to the two as he split them apart quickly hugging Twilight into an embrace as Ringo and Brawly came over to see what happened.
"Twilight, are you okay?!" Flash asked
Twilight then pushed back the right sleeve to reveal some red marks from Sunset's hand on Twilight's wrist.
"Sunset look what you did!" Flash said spitefully towards Sunset
"I-I didn't mean to!" Sunset said in defense
"Oh really?" Adagio said going up to the group, "That was clearly an act of kidnapping from the looks of things."
"Twilight wouldn't listen to me and then you came in so I had no other choice!" Sunset said
"Really? Was it because you wanted to talk to her?" Adagio said, "Or is it because you wanted to help the Rainbooms win by mind controlling her."
"What?!" Sunset shouted
"Clearly that's the case, the Rainbooms must think they have it in the bag if they think they can just sabotage Flash Drive like that." Adagio said loud enough for everyone to hear
"Not if the Great and Powerful Trixie has anything to say about that!" Trixie shouted
"Whatever Trixie!" Flash shouted back, "We're the best band at Canterlot High!"
"Are not!" shouted Captain Planet leader of the Planeteers
"Are too!" Twilight shouted
"Are not!" Captain Planet shouted back
"You're one to talk Captain Planet!" shouted Indigo Wrath, a member of Tragic Comedy
"Says you dog boy!" Lyra shouted
All of a sudden the whole room broke out into a fight as the only ones not affected was Sunset Shimmer, Spike, and the Rainbooms who slipped over to the door. Adagio noticed this though as they collected the negative energy.
"We've found it." Adagio said to Aria and Sonata who just gave off confused looks, "MAGIC!"
"Um, elaborate?" Sonata said
"Don't you see? Everyone including the new girl has fallen under our spell, except for them." Adagio said as the Rainbooms left, "They have the equestrian magic we were looking for."
"But what about the new girl?" Sonata said point at Twilight who was emanating a glow unlike the rest
The energy then made it's way into Adagio's necklace and then she felt it and suddenly her morale soared.
"She has equestrian magic!" Adagio said, "Forget about the Rainbooms for a while! We've got a meal for now."
Twilight Joins Flash Drive
"I can't believe it." Sunset said as she sat down on the entrance stairs, "Twilight's on Flash's side now and most likely under the Dazzling's spell."
"Then I say we find out exactly why she joined them in the first place." Rainbow said, "She couldn't have just joined them for no reason."
"Rainbow's right." Applejack said, "There has ta be a reason fer her joining them."
"Well darlings while it is a good idea it's getting late and we won't be able to talk to her now." Rarity said
"Of coarse we will." Rainbow said, "We'll just have to wait-"
"YAHOOOOOO!"
The Rainboom then looked to their left to see Twilight in Flash's car along with Ringo and Brawly Beats.
"Sleepover at Flash's!" Brawly and Ringo shouted
And just like that Flash's car disappeared.
"That's why we won't be able to." Rarity said
"Hey, what they shouted isn't a bad idea actually." Sunset said, "A sleepover should help us think over what to do next."
"SLEEPOVER AT MY HOUSE!" Pinkie stated
Meanwhile Flash Drive had made it back to Flash's house and got some of their equipment from the trunk into the garage. As they set up Flash went up to Twilight who was setting up the mic.
"Um Twilight? Can I ask you something?" Flash asked
"What is it?" Twilight asked turning to Flash
"Why did you immediately decide to join my band?" Flash asked, "I thought you would've gave it some time to decide. "
"Flash, every time I'm around it's like, it's like my thoughts become jumbled and clouded." Twilight stated, "I tend to lose all common sense-"
"Are you in love with me?" Flash asked
Twilight's face then went red as she started fumbling with her words.
"Um well, yes, I mean no, I mean maybe, I mean-"
Twilight was then cut off as Flash planted a kiss on her lips surprising her. It ended though and Twilight's face then went from red to blushing.
"If it makes you feel better, I love you too." Flash said
Twilight then smiled as she surprise Flash as she planted a kiss on his lips. They shared the moment for a while as Flash closed his eyes and hugged Twilight. It ended after twenty seconds and they looked at each other.
"I love you, Twilight Sparkle." Flash said to Twilight
"I love you too, Flash Sentry." Twilight replied, "You know something Flash?"
"What?" Flash asked
"I’m not blind anymore." Twilight said
"How?" Flash asked
"It’s your love that will not fade away." Twilight said, "All because I set my eyes on your eternal way."
"Well you know what they say." Flash said, "The flash burns."
"So bright, but it won’t last very long." Twilight added
"And I hope my life means more than that." Flash finished
All of a sudden their eyes came to life and a smile appeared on them.
"I've got a song idea!" the two said together
And so throughout the rest of the night Flash Sentry and Twilight worked on a song, while Sunset Shimmer and the Rainbooms were discussing possibilities as to how Twilight joined Flash so quickly, Spike on the other hand was a little saddened over the fact that Twilight may have left him, it was starting to look like the worst thing he ever saw through Sombra's "Door of Insanity" as he liked to call it which was Twilight sending Spike away forever.
"Maybe if I can talk to her alone maybe I can snap her out of this." Spike said to himself
Night came and went like it was nothing, as soon as Flash drive got up the spent some of the morning practicing their song and once they were done they packed up and headed to school. The Rainbooms however went to Applejack's house and spent a while their still discussing possibilities.
"Agh! We've been doing this for I don't know how long and we STILL can't come up to a conclusion!" Rainbow stated
"I just don't git it." Applejack said, "How is this possible?"
"Um, maybe Twilight did it out of love?" Fluttershy suggested
"Nah that's not possible." Rainbow said
"Girls I'd hate to break up this, but we've got to get to school in fifteen minutes to sign up for the battle of the bands!"
"What?!" the group shouted as they packed up their stuff
"But what about twilight?!" Spike asked
"We can talk to her later, come on lets move!" Rainbow shouted as everyone ran after her
"HEY WAIT FOR US!" Spike and Sunset shouted trying to catch up
When they Rainbooms got there they were just in time to be the last ones to sign up for the auditioning. Later into the day Principal Celestia made an announcement for all the bands that had signed up to be in the battle of the bands to go to the gym. A little bit later Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna showed up to begin everything.
"Welcome everyone to the first ever Canterlot High Battle of the Bands event!" Celestia stated into a microphone which made everyone cheer except fro the Rainbooms, "Let me be the first to say that we are thank full to our three new students for convincing us to turn this event into so much more!"
The Dazzlings just smirked as Celestia said that.
"But since this is now a competition, there can be only one victor, and the question is, who will it be?" Vice Principal Luna added
Then the whole room went out into a fight with one kid shouting, "You are the worst!" and another going to Scootaloo, "Your mom was a chicken!", and so on and so forth. Meanwhile the two principals took their spots at the judges table and announced the first band to audition.
"Our first audition is Flash Drive." Principal Celestia stated
