It was a rainy day in Ponyville as the local weather patrol had to create rain clouds all over the town so the apple family's crops could grow. Victoria a new mother to be was sitting in the kitchen reading a foal care book when suddenly she went into labour ironically she was reading a chapter on labour "Owwwwwwwww Andrew get in here the foal is coming call an ambulance for our foal!" Andrew the father galloped into the kitchen with a telephone in his magical aura dialed the equestrian equivalent to 911. " Hello how may i help you fire fighters police or ambulance." Said the operator. "Ambulance." yelled the worrying new father. "Okay sir i'm going to require you to be calm what is your address." Said the operator in a calm but stern way. "17 willow way Ponyville." said the desperate father. A few minutes passed then the ambulance pulled up outside. "Hello sir where is the mother." "In the kitchen." Said Andrew quickly. Suddenly the ambulance mares rushed into the kitchen one sat in front of Victoria's hind legs the other holding the mother's left front hoof. "ANDREW HOLD MY HAND! NOW!" Shouted the mother between gasps of air. "I'M COMING!" Exclaimed Andrew in a happy but worried tone. "Madam we need you to be calm can you tell us of any birth defects this baby has been diagnosed with while in the womb." Said the senior ambulance mare. " No not yet owwwww." After what seemed like an eternity Andrew rushed in with towels and blankets then he got on Victoria's right hoof side and clutched it hard. "Okay the foal is crowning I see a horn." Said the senior ambulance mare. "Just keep breathing you're doing well." Cheered the junior ambulance mare. After a few minutes of pushing,swearing,gasping and clutching hooves the ambulance mare showed a face of shock as the foal finally arrived with wings on it's back. "My god it's an alicorn we need to get to the hospital in case of false alicorn syndrome." Shouted the senior ambulance mare "Come on we need to get to the hospital!" "Just one second is it a filly or a colt?" Said the worried parents in unison.
The senior ambulance mare looked between the hind legs. "Filly now let's go." Five minutes passed and they arrived in the newborn wing of the hospital as the foal was taken in for x-rays the two worried parents looked at the other new parents and saw the two cake parents "Hello Cup cake and Carrot cake what a surprise to see you here!" Said Andrew the shock of having a possibly disabled filly having not yet passed through him quite yet. "Why hello Andrew I must say it's quite surprising to see one of our best customers here on the same day of our twins birth." Said Cup Cake in a sweet tone. "What's wrong you're shaking." Said Carrot Cake in a concerned tone "Our foal could have false alicorn syndrome." He said as he passed out.
An hour passed and Andrew found himself in the waiting room next to Victoria. Suddenly nurse Redheart trotted in "Mr and Mrs Day-dream i'm sorry to say this but we have found out that your filly does in fact have false alicorn syndrome. Symptoms will include stunted growth, delayed motor skill development, possible epilepsy, and inability to use magic from her horn I understand you may be in shock so I will leave you a minute to gain your composure." Said nurse Redheart in an sad tone as she walked away. "Wait nurse can we talk about her condition." Said Andrew in a state of shock. "Why of course I shall bring you to Dr. Band-Aid."
"Hello my name is Dr. Band-Aid I will be watching over your daughter's case i specialize in deformities of the equine body by the way i believe you need to sign this." The middle aged doctor said as he passed both the birth certificate and a quill. The two new parents quickly signed both their names and the days date "It looks like we forgot to name our daughter in all of the commotion." Said Victoria in a joking tone. "How about Mireille it's french for miracle." Said Andrew as he nuzzled his sleeping filly. After the two loving but worried parents signed the birth certificate "Okay now i shall send this to be notarized anyway back to the issue at hand we have a few courses of treatment for Mireillle the first treatment is we surgically amputate her horn however this procedure is extremely risky and i would not recommend it after reviewing her x-rays and performing a spell it would seem the horn as it is non magical it is extremely delicate and removing it could have her die of blood loss or complications seeing as a rouge blood vessel is inside her horn. The second treatment would be a course of supplements promoting the horn and wings growth as well as physio therapy as her wings are mostly normal strangely after running some tests we have found that she is technically an earth pony however due to the pegasi and unicorn genes in your family and you both possessing a recessive gene for this condition she has grown working wings however she lacks Pegasus magic due to her being an earth pony and would not be able to walk on clouds and therefore would be ineligible for flight school in the future. On the bright side scientists have been able to create a pegasi magic infused suit for flightless pegasi. The third and final treatment for Mireille would be magical removal of the horn and wings again i would not recommend this treatment as well because it would only remove them visibly and she could run in a doorway break her invisible horn and she would die of blood loss due to the rogue blood vessel being in an extremely strange area and this could really harm her.
